This Target is a great addition to Cross County Mall. It was added recently after replacing the Sears which was here previously. I have fond memories of Sears but this Target is a great replacement. There is plenty of parking and several food options nearby. It is two floors filled with all the local items. I have stopped by here many times to pick up some clothes and snacks.The family loves to wander around and pick up some Starbucks during their trip. This place is great for quick pickups and wandering around. I come by here to pick up the occasional juice or milk run. I will probably still go to the Stop and Shop nearby for my grocery shopping. read more

This is a large Target conveniently located in the Cross County shopping center, near lots of other stores. Grocery is hit or miss here; I wasn't super impressed with their produce selection. Their prices also seem to be off. For example, a store brand jar of nuts was $17 here while it was $12 at the Target in Mount Vernon. read more

This location is two floors. Very grand lots of space a lot of things covered in cases due to stealing. Makes you feel uncomfortable having to chase someone to open the cabinets. I came to get a few items that the 225 street location didn't have. I love that there is drive through pick up for convenience. The value in pricing is always fair but I am upset that you guys keep switching your price match system. My daughter asked me to target I had not been to this one recently opened because I had heard the crowds were insane . It's where the sears was in cross country shopping center so there is ample parking. Always a pleasure to see a Starbucks as you walk in and the 5 under section at the front of the store. There are two floors so we had a lot of territory to cover because my daughter needed things for her home ; she found things and then some . This is a place I should not go I didn't need a blessed thing but 100 plus later I was walking out between grocery items and shirts on sale decore for Super Bowl makeup pet stuff kid stuff...Kathy stay away . Other than being a new location, it's still Target and everything Target is. Just because it's a new location, it doesn't change that it's still Target. For those in the area, Sears used to occupy this space - it's now 2 floors for Target, with the top floor being reserved for part of Westchester Community College. The last time Westchester had a 2 floor store like this, it was Walmart in White Plains and that was a complete disaster - hopefully this Target doesn't end up the same way. I purposely avoided the first two weeks since it just opened figuring it would be madness, but finally checked it out in the third week. Other than being new, there's nothing particularly special or remarkable about this location. Only giving it the 3rd star because it is new and there is room for potential, even if it's probably unlikely. If you frequent Target enough, you'd know what they generally carry - the only difference is about half of what the store generally carries is on the second floor including home, kitchen, toys, electronics, shoes, and bathroom - while everything else is on the main floor including groceries, clothes, toiletries, medication, household, school supplies, and makeup. Prices are what they are and at times, they can be decent or good. There are entrances/exits as well as registers on both floors for extra options, but of course it also depends on where you parked. There's a Starbucks and a CVS pharmacy inside for extra convenience. The store was 'fully stocked' upon opening, but I guess they didn't replenish everything by the time I got there as there were a lot of empty spots, shelves, and such. Not all spots, but more than enough to where it was noticeable. In all fairness, the store was busy and since it's a newer location, perhaps a little leeway can be given in that regard. The employees that I saw were typical Target employees. No one was friendly that I encountered and again, just typical Target employee behavior you'd tend to see at other locations. Target - much like Walmart - aren't known for their friendly employees and I can probably count on one hand how many employees have actually been good for all the different locations total I've been to in the last few years (which is more than I can count on one hand). I didn't purchase anything, so no comments about the checking out experience - but there were both cashiers and self checkouts. Again, the store was probably busier than usual due to being a new location, so while I'm willing to give room for improvement here - I'm not expecting too much change in that regard, based off other Target locations. Time of course will tell on how this Target will be in total after the 'newness' of the location wears off and things settle. Located in Cross County shopping center - there are plenty of parking options both directly in the Target parking lot (which the ground floor shares with a few restaurants) and for the rest of the mall. During the holidays it can be a little more challenging to find closer spots. There is the smaller lot next to the second floor entrance as another option. I didn't go around to the college side, so unsure if part of that is blocked off or not. Use caution when using the lots closer to the store, because there were carts all over the place. Honestly, it's just a new Target location and nothing much more other than being two floors. I wasn't in here for too long before I figured that I probably wouldn't be going out of my way to come here too often and much like I do with Walmart, I'll probably driver further to a better location for a better all around experience whenever I'm in the need to visit a Target. But I will say this location is better than it's closest sister location in Mount Vernon - so for locals, there is that glimmer of hope. I might try coming here again sometime in the new year after things settle to see if things will improve or just be another typical skippable location - but I'm not expecting too much from here. read more

It's brand new! What's better than new? Service was lousy, albeit I'll give the staff the benefit of the doubt; it is new management, so everyone is ironing out the kinks. Value is okay. But I think certain things are still more cost efficient elsewhere, like food and produce. read more

Came to this location early last Saturday morning. A true mistake it was, should have drove 40 minutes to mount kisco! The layout of this store is ridiculous! Makes no sense, staff don't even know where items are. Website shows the store has items in stock, drive there and nothing is available it's all sold out. After grabbing a few of the things I needed I proceed to go to checkout. The cashier who helped us was EXTREMELY RUDE! No greeting, told my husband "pack the bags yourself" and then threw the receipt at me. I was shocked especially since we greeted her with "good morning how are you" and no reply. My husband asked her if there was bags so he could back to which she snapped on him, and then finally the receipt. I was livid! But since my child was with us I refused to make a scene. Walking out, there is a bunch of staff standing there with a manager and I say loudly while looking at her "your staff is rude and careless" and she shrugged her shoulders. Bottom line, the manager doesn't care! Safe yourself and do the drive to Mt Kisco. Store is clean, shelves are stocked, easy layout, and friendly staff! read more

New target a cross county mall. The main draw for me is that it's a lot more convinient to get to than the Mount vernon or White plains locations. Both those have its own issues, mostly the always very dark and dungeon feeling parking lots. However, I consider the mt. vernon location to have the best layout out of all of them and that's my primary point for comparison. The location opened in late october, it has 2 floors and plenty of parking options. It has a CVS and a starbucks inside on first floor. Won't explain the rest because its typical target, only difference is that it's split into two floors. It feels like some of the selections are limited or maybe it's getting used to a new layout, but I def. get the sense that there is less stuff here than the other nearby locations. I'm hoping this is perception vs. reality.... I'l get a better feel for it after a few more visits. They have cashiers on both floors which is very convinient and they also have a large self-checkout section. There was a lot of staff and whenever I asked for help they were able to assist (mostly where is X or Y questions). It's a good addition to the mall and nice have one in this area, hopefully it stays clean and stocked! read more

This has got to be the worst Target I've ever been to. They are never stocked, food items are expired (especially the salads) every time I go, the food is either expired or 1 day away from expiring. You ask an employee what section you can find something and they never have a clue. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the pharmacy is amazing and has great staff, otherwise I don't step in here unless it's to the pharmacy. Save yourself the headache. TIP: Target please get yourself a great store manager, and get seasoned workers to help train the new hires, the only way this new location could even work. read more

So today is the Grand Opening of Target in Cross County. In my 35 years of working in retail and having done dozens of Grand Openings for various Supermarket companies this was one of the most PATHETIC Grand openings I have EVER seen! Store had sections totally EMPTY, isles were not blocked down, holes in merchandise everywhere! They signed a 40 year lease?! They'll be lucky they last 40 months! After shopping, I went into to starbucks to order 6 drinks for my family.I had my order ready to go but the cashier was so rude.I understood that it was busy and she might have been stressed so i was patient. One of the products that I wanted didn't have so I of course, had to call up my cousin to see what else she wanted. The electronic department manager was unprofessional with dealing with my issue over the phone that he hung up on me. I did like this store until the unprofessional manager couldn't even give me a response to why I can't change the wrong ink for the right one so I'm basically out of 30$ and stuck with ink I can't use. Customer service representatives at the order pickup/returns counter are rude and have serious attitude problems. Ordering online for pickup is supposed to be easier but having to deal with their lack of customer service skills makes me wish I just shopped in store myself. Clean and spacious. Just needs more staff on the floor to ask help. I usually go to the Target in Mt. Vernon (where staff is friendlier and more helpful). Just seems like the staff here are much younger but have a "couldnt care less attitude" so maybe more costumer service training. Back to college shopping and we had 2 full carts that were jammed so we left the store and unpacked it all in the hotel and put things in bigger bags and discovered all the missing pieces. I was very excited for this Target to open. The one near me in the Bronx gets so busy and this is close by, but I'm more disappointed every time I go. It's a huge space but they somehow never have anything I need, from groceries to clothing to items for my kid. I also don't enjoy the layout. This sounds weird, but there's no carpet to distinguish different areas from each other and they don't have good displays for clothing or home goods, which is kind of the entire fun of shopping at Target. It just feels like shopping in a big warehouse without anything enjoyable about it. Customer service is mixed. The cashiers are nice but floor staff seems annoyed if you ask them questions or to do things like unlock a dressing room. I hope they get it together and make the space a nicer place to shop. read more
