We came on a Saturday late morning for breakfast/brunch, knowing it was going to be busy so we were not mad about the wait time. The hostess was great about keeping the people in line in order as she got groups seated. The food comes in huge portions, great prices for the amount you get. The food was awesome! The hostess was all over the place, acting as hostess, waitress, busser, the whole package. She was fantastic and we tipped her well. We came on a Sunday morning and that was probably my first mistake as it was very crowded and LOUD. It felt like there were a 100 little kids screaming and the parents just looking at them. Breakfast was mediocre at best. I ordered hash brown with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. My hashbrowns were soggy and not warm. It was topped with two slices of barely melted cheese and pickled (not fresh) jalapeños. My son's fries tasted like they were cooked in old grease. Came into eat and 3 tables that came in after us got served before us. Then our server washed our table with a dirty rag and then gave us menus and then left to take care of to go orders for 10 minutes. In the meanwhile 1 table before us got their food. Then I saw the server pick up the lettuce for my salad and onions and tomatoes with her hands; the same hand she used her dirty rag with. Yummy. Ordered tuna salad and got chicken. Tomatoes bad. Tried to pay up front but now need to find our waitress because she is the only one that can take money. We tried this restaurant while visiting from out of town last weekend. I can't vouch for the food here (as we ended up having to get up and walk out) but not before I spoke to a Supervisor to let her know how RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and NOT HELPFUL her Server was to my Friend and I. have Celiac Disease (an AutoImmune Disease) so I'm not able to eat any Gluten or Wheat. It isn't a fad diet for me and it isn't me trying to be a difficult patron. If I eat a meal with gluten I'll become violently ill and it is a miserable reaction that usually includes me passing out. So naturally (and understandably) I ask questions when visiting a new place the first time such as ask if they have a gluten free menu/if they are able to modify a dish to make it gluten free. I always ask politely and I always make sure to thank the staff for their assistance and patience. The Server who came to our table was visibly put off and annoyed by just those simple questions. I understand not everyone knows the ins and outs of eating gluten free so I simply asked her if she could please go ask the kitchen as to what breakfast items I could have (i.e. would I be safe to choose eggs and a side of bacon and fruit) to which she replies so hateful that it completely caught my Friend and I offguard , "I don't know what you can eat. Only you know what you can eat" When my Friend attempts to clarify she interjects (again hatefully) "It's not a law. We aren't required to be gluten free...it's not a law here!" I was appalled that she would a) speak to a paying and tipping Customer that way and b) that a person could be that rude and insensitive to someone who's simply trying to find out if two eggs and a side of bacon will contain gluten or wheat. It's pretty straightforward and not difficult to deserve that kind of response. My Friend politely asks her to give us a moment. She literally audibly sighs and walks off then returns a few minutes later and with her same tone and attitude asks, "you Ladies figure anything out?!" To which we let her know we are leaving. She walks off. No apology - nothing. I was so upset and angry and embarrassed to be spoken to that way for something I have no control over other than being careful as to what I eat! I was a paying Diner just like everyone else in the restaurant and deserved to be treated as such! I cannot understand how she makes any money nor why she chose to work as a Server. The silver lining to this dreadful experience was the kind Woman I spoke to on our way out offered us an apology and was also appalled at the way we were spoken to and treated. As luck turns out, Tina, the kind woman I talked to on my way out was a Supervisor! She offered to take us as her table but we decided we just wanted to leave. We went to a restaurant in the same area and were treated like royalty! We left that Server a size able tip as he went out of his way to give us a safe meal and was super kind. When we told him about what had just happened guess what? He says - kid you not - "oh I bet y'all are talking about Clockers!" When we told another person of the experience she said, "yeah their food is so so but their Customer Service is terrible." These are people who live and work in the area. So basically leads one to believe they get enough Tourists in there that it doesn't really matter how they talk to their Customers. If I can spare this from happening to someone else - even one person - then typing all this out was WELL worth it! To the Rude Server - you just never know who you're waiting on. You could have had a $100 tip that day! Maybe you should try being nice. It pays. read more

This was a great surprise to our Branson weekend! We wanted to do something different than the standard vacationers' buffet line and found this quaint little place in old downtown Branson. We were seated quickly, just beating the crowd and quickly brought our coffee. The menu offered a great variety. My husband chose eggs Benedict and a pancake, and I had an egg skillet. Both were very tasty and did not disappoint! The service was great, fast and friendly with servers passing by often to top off our coffee cups. The restroom is clean and nicely decorated. This was a great experience and we plan to visit again we are back in Branson! read more

This place is great! Where to start? Ordered Ol' Hickory hamburger. BBQ hamburger with onion ring. The meat is real hand patted meat. Hand cut chips. Huge kaiser roll. Daughter got chicken strips and you could tell it was real chicken breast cut into strips. Decor was neat. My favorite part was a 101 classic movie quotes board on the wall...very cool! My first time to Branson; a gentleman at Adventure Zip Lining offered a list of his favorite local places as we were biding time atop the platforms waiting for the rest of the group to go, and Clockers was his choice for breakfast. Love a place where all the waitresses address everyone from age 3 to 103 as "kids." We had a party of 5 who managed to get seated relatively fast, which seems to be the exception at this popular spot. Mostly I have to talk about the pancakes, because, while all of the food we ordered was superb, never in my life have I particularly cared for pancakes, yet here I could not stop eating my husband's. My family owned a series of restaurants in Louisiana as I was growing up; I am a trained chef and former chef for Williams Sonoma, so I tend to be a bit more analytical about food. Rarely is there anything that I simply have to make myself stop eating, but these pancakes are on the short list. I almost made myself miserably full, but stopped just short. By the time this table full of finicky eaters finished, nothing was left on anyone's plate. Table consensus was that my homemade cinnamon rolls are preferable; else wise, Clockers is a place I would without hesitation revisit on a future trip. read more

Horrible! Not family friendly! No changing table in bathroom. Wouldn't give us a high chair and we couldn't move seats because it was too busy. They were out of several things offered on the menu. Typical local cafe. Service was quick but the food was unremarkable. It was filling and not expensive. The café is located in the Branson historic district in walking distance of other shopping. The café was busy during our visit, but the service was still very quick. The food arrived promptly. I had the bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich and it was a very basic sandwich with the bacon over done and over crisp. This place is seat yourself which caused confusion at the front and about a 20 minute wait. The table busser was staring around with 5 dirty tables and a long line at the front. The food was good but not very warm. It's very packed and the waitress we had wouldn't even take her time to listen to us and never came back until our food was out and then we never saw her again. This place was recommended by our hotel. We came twice - the first was fine, but the second time the service was terrible. We had to bus our own table. Then three tables after us were served first. About two minutes after getting our order taken, one of those who can in after us went to the door - the table had already finished their meal. Nobody really apologized - when we voiced our displeasure (and requested another server) it was just to get us out of the way as quickly as possible.
