One of my favorite places in the area! Their beer list would get them five stars alone, but the food and service are definitely top notch as well. Every time I come, I try to get something new. I have never been disappointed by a meal there, but I would recommend their buffalo calamari if you don't know where to start. Their extensive beer list is always changing and they have some truly unique brews on tap. Beer flights are a great way to go and reasonably priced. Second time here. First time was decent enough to go back again. Sat down and were asked if we wanted popovers. Sure we said. Got non toasted (yup) toast with butter. Appetizers we're ok. Asian chicken wings were excellent. Some kind of feta cheese on non toasted toast (yup again) with cucumber and honey that was no where to be found. Beer selection was good and our drinks were good. Main dishes, this is where it goes downhill like a snowball in a cartoon. I had the prime rib. Asked for it medium, got it ice cold. Vegetables were cold, everything on plate was cold. So I call over someone ( not our server) told him it's cold. His reply, "do you want me to tell someone?" Yes I replied while thinking, you're not very helpful. Took plate away and returned with it 5 minutes later. It was obviously microwaved, string beans were warm but the meat was still cold. Asked the kid to take it away. BTW our waiter still never came back to the table since taking our order. My wife had the fried chicken, warm not hot served on a piece of wood. Can't make this stuff up. Waiter finally came over. Here comes the apology. "Do you want desert"? Huh?? Just the check please. They didn't charge for my uneaten prim rib but still would never go back. Probably the best restaurant in the area. Food is exceptional. Atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable. Chef / Owners couldn't be nicer. Great craft beer selection. Because she thought a member of our party of 8 was rude, when questioning if we could sit at a table outside to hear our cousins' band. We had just dined inside ($300 + drinks at $150). Later, When attempting to order more drinks, she claimed we were "cut off"! When I questioned her (Owner was nowhere to be found), she claimed she had the right to cut us all off due to the fact that someone said she was rude! And evidently she thought that the amount of money we spent was not enough to avoid the apparent rudeness on her part! I am in the public eye and if I responded to clients in this manner, I would be out of business! When someone runs a public establishment they should learn how to deal with clients in a more civilized manner. Shame on you! #clocktowergrill My post So, this was one of the tables that our family wanted to sit at to hear the band. It was already late evening, probably around 8:30. We were told that she "needed those tables and NO, you cannot sit there ". My tried to explain that we had just eaten inside ( in case she thought we came just to hear the band,) and her response was as rude as she was already being, I said, you are being kind of rude, and I actually said it rather nicely, and was surprised that she was being so rude.She walked over to my sister, got a bit in her face and said, Did YOU just say I was rude??" I said, No, I said that, and you are still being rude!! We walked away and listened to a great band outside the fenced dining area at Clocktower.A bit later, I went into the bar to get a drink for my husband and sister in law. The young lady was there, speaking to the owner. I used the ladies room, and then went up to the bar by where she was standing to order. The bartender was pleasant and I asked if he had Brandy- the young lady answered "no". I said oh, no brandy?, ok, and was about to order something else when she said, you are cut off. I kind of looked around, actually thinking she was talking to someone else, and two people at the Bar started laughing, obviously in on her little power trip. I said, you are cutting me off? I'm not even drinking. Her response? Your whole party is cut off. I turned and said, you are cutting us off because YOU were rude to us??? Her response? Yes- your whole table is cut off. I walked outside- obviously she was looking for a fight. When I told the others they couldn't believe it. That is when my sister in laws went in to speak to the owner and her story is above. So, that table?? Still empty about 2 hours after we were told we couldn't sit there. Clock Tower Grill- you just lost a bunch of customers, some dinner regulars, some Food truck regulars, some take out lunch regulars...just bad business- Don't really care who you are. (BTW- I did not know she was the owners wife- that makes it worse, in my opinion!)Never be that rude- you never know who you are being rude to. Such a hidden gem in Brewster! The food was nothing short of amazing. The chilled cucumber gazpacho with crab and basil oil was outstanding as was the shrimp and grits. Salmon and duck we tried were out of this world. The chef really knows his food globose and garnishes. Cannot wait to go back. The wine was very good also and the service outstanding. So happy to have been treated to such a wonderful dinner here. We will be back! read more

I was disappointed when I attended a cooking demo Lobster Bake on 8/18. I was expecting to c a demo of each course and be served after each demo. Instead we got an hour or more lecture on ur farm to table business. We already had been there more than 1/2 hour buying drinks which ice tea/lemonade should've been included in the price. During the lecture we were faint uncomfortable hungry. We also were crammed into tables that we were going to be very uncomfortable to eat due to lack of space. The buffet was disappointing since everything was already cooked. The lobster was overcooked and a bit stringy. The mussels weren't served in a sauce so didn't have much taste. They should have been served in a bowl w a sauce. The chicken thigh was mainly bone. It would have been nice to have a chicken breast. To be fair the corn/potato salad/corn bread/strawberry short cake was good. Some of these courses could have been served after a demo such as mussels in sauce/potato salad/cornbread/strawberry shortcake. And also include the recipes for these courses. The first course/recipes could've been how to cook a lobster/mussels in sauce/corn and then served. The second course could've been the demo/recipes for the chicken/potato salad/cornbread/dressing. The third course would b the demo/recipe for the dessert. Each course should've had its own paper bowl (4). The buffet in two paper bowls made the meal messy n awkward. read more

4/4/2016 I have been to the Clocktower Grill several times and have always enjoyed their food, staff, and prices. Last night, I went with my Wife and a group of three other couples for a friend's 65th. Birthday Celebration. We were seated promptly by our server. I must apologize that I didn't remember our server's name. She had really short blonde hair and a wonderful smile! She was fantastic and was very attentive to the group's needs. Anyway, on to the food. I had the Steak Frites. The steak was rare, as I had ordered and was pre sliced. The steak was covered in a very nice beef demi and was accompanied by a side of parmesan fries. The fries were slightly cold, but were flavorful nonetheless. My Wife had the Lobster Mac and she said it was "yummy". The group of eight also had drinks and coffees after the meal. The entire bill came in for around $360 for eight of us, not bad at all considering what we had and the high quality of the food that was served. I received a gift certificate to Clocktower Grill. Made a reservation on Open Table and we were seated promptly. The dining area is so cramped and you are basically on top of other people if you don't have a booth. Since it was just my husband and I, we were seated at a tiny table. My seat was such that all waitstaff had to walk behind me, and out of the hundred times they passed, they hit my chair at least half of those times and I only got one apology. Upon being seated we were asked if we wanted sparkling or distilled water, My husband and I both chose distilled. It was pretty annoying that once we got our check we found out we were charged $6.00 for the water. For WATER. The table side bread was very good. We ordered the bacon and deviled eggs as an appetizer. The eggs were great. The bacon was three pieces of fat. Literally. My husband chose the black bean burger for dinner and I chose the short ribs, based on the positive reviews I saw here about them. My husband said his burger was just OK. My "short ribs" were chunks of pot roast served with lukewarm mashed potatoes {which would've been great if they were hot} and "caramelized" carrots that were still hard and tasted like they were soaked in vodka. Our server came back once to check on us and took a drink refill order. Another waitstaff noticed we were empty so she offered to bring them out since our waiter seemingly disappeared. I really wanted to like this place considering we don't get out often because we have two children and dinners out are few and far between. I am glad we only had to pay $18 after the gift certificate. Maybe it was an off night or they were too busy, but we definitely won't be back or recommend. read more

Food price/quality ratio 7. I've eaten here three times. Twice, it was okay. Not great, but bearable. Decent draft beer selection, and interesting offerings for appetizers. I had a hummus app with the best homemade pita bread I've ever eaten last night. They also serve homemade pop-overs, which is a welcome treat. My entree was their fried chicken. Two pieces of chicken..... a leg, and an unrecognizable chicken body part. Flavorless, way overpriced, and barely any meat. The vegetable was good quality and prepared well, however. The service was excellent. The mixed drinks were steeply priced, I thought, and the booth bench I sat upon was more uncomfortable than a worn out seat in an old VW Beetle. Probably will skip this restaurant in the future. Price to quality ratio is lacking in my opinion. read more

Very nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. Special 1.25lb lobster roll was delicious. Tuna tartare was good. Everything tuna (everything bagel coating on seared tuna) looked amazing although I didn't try it. Dishes to avoid until tweaked: Baby Kale salad was very tough with large flat leaves; recommend they switch to small curled leaves and chop. Arugula salad was so so as well. Went here for the first time tonight with my husband. We ordered the Asian wings to start. They were absolutely delicious and for a bonus they were hot. I love when my food is piping hot. This was a bonus for me. I order the lamb shank. Absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. The faro that came with it was amazing. My husband ordered the shrimp risotto. He absolutely loved it. Of course I ended the nigh with a ginger bread donut with ice cream that blew my mind. I look forward to returning. This place is a gem. read more

Restaurant Week Date Night with the Hubby!! Literally just got home from here and wanted to Yelp because sadly, they're listed as another restaurant on Yelp. I guess they must have changed names after a change in owners or management or something. It used to be called 512 Grill & Bar. This place is so cute! It's very new age, farm to table type. It has a spoon and fork as handles for the doors (and they're massive sized too!) It has one of those sliding barn doors to separate the dining room. And from what it looked like, they were remodeling another part of the restaurant. They gave quite a bit of options for each course. I believe there were at least 6 for the first and second courses and then 3 for the dessert! I love it when a restaurant does that for restaurant week!! And it was a great variety off their menu too which is good. My hubby had the buffalo calamari followed by the short ribs and then the warm chocolate chip cookie. I had the foie gras, then the fish tacos and finished with a bread pudding. The buffalo calamari had a nice kick to it and were covered with sauce while staying breaded. It was garnished with blue cheese and shaved celery but no dipping sauce. The short ribs were very tender and served with carrots and mashed potatoes, a really homey and comfort food type of meal. The short ribs could have had just a tiny bit more flavor to them. The chocolate cookie was spot on and I thought my husband was going to lick the plate clean. My foie gras was a little bland but paired with the fruit compote they added it was good. Unfortunately, the crostini I got was a little too charred on the bottom. The fish tacos were yum! And I had them with truffle french fries which were also delish and needed no extra seasoning!! My bread pudding was soooooo good and here's the thing... I don't like bread pudding!! Funny enough, it was my second one of the day (I know, it was a little indulgent) since I had gone to lunch with a coworker for restaurant week as well. Double restaurant week day! I have to admit... this one was better than the one earlier in the day. It was just super moist and the chocolate bits on the inside were the perfect addition! Waiters were attentive... noise level was quiet since there weren't that many people there. And atmosphere is trendy yet comfy. It's a smaller restaurant but they take reservations (and on opentable) so if you go on a weekend, I'd recommend making one just in case. Overall, a great experience. I defintiely plan on coming back here again, especially since it's a bit swanky and close to home so I can get dolled up and feel like I have some place to go! The prices on the regular menu weren't astronomical either!! Enjoyed our Mother's Day visit. Was pleasantly surprised at this restaurant in what I thought was an office complex. I had reservations and we were promptly seated. Menu is very innovative with lots of options...lots of craft beers and interesting cocktails, even a large coffee menu (nitro coffee?). I usually dont like to dine out on a holiday and there is none busier than Mother's Day. We didn't feel rushed, things weren't hectic-all was calm relaxed and very pleasant. Service was excellent. Food was very good; we had shrimp and grits and I have never had better grits. Local cheese board was good....house sausage was not what we expected, but still tasty. Also a bit surprised the lobster cocktail was still in the shell, and the scallop entree had only 3 scallops, but overall an excellent experience. Would definately visit again. read more

We shared the appetizer of bacon and eggs which was outstanding, The bacon was smoky and sweet and the stuffed eggs had a wonderful flavor. The duck dinner was a breast, which was perfectly done in a sweet sauce. This was accompanied by polenta which was over the top good, and roasted brussel sprouts. The desserts were adequate. Zucchini bread which was ok, had a little gelato which was outstanding and a few blueberries. The bread pudding was OK. My only complaint was that for the price the portions were on the small side. Stopped in for dinner last night for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was excellent, the popovers to start in the ricotta tin were very good. My salmon was delicious and my husband had the sirloin and they kindly substituted pomme frites & spinach for the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. My husband had the chocolate torte and cappuccino for dessert and left nothing behind. We each had a glass of the house wine. I had Chardonnay and he had the Cabernet. Just got back from dinner there and the service was the worst we have had in a long time. I don't know if they were understaffed but our waitress never came back once she took our order. Never once checked to see how our meals were. She came around once after we ate our mediocre meals to one side of the table to pick up some knives and only asked two of our party of seven if they would like another drink. We had to ask the girl who bussed our table (who was very nice) twice for dessert menus and another drink. The dessert menus took at least ten minutes to arrive and then no one ever came back to ask what we wanted. We finally asked for the check and the manager was nice enough to comp our appetizers. As were leaving the drink finally arrived. We took the kids to Red Rooster for dessert and the service there was 1000 times better. read more

We tried Clock Tower Grill based on a recommendation, but were extremely disappointed. Firstly, the wait person had an unpleasant attitude - she was abrupt, seemed either uninterested or distracted, and blamed the bus person when we had a problem with our leftovers. Secondly, the menus are deficient in their descriptions. Some of the appetizers and entrees we were served were NOT what we expected; our waitress said the make the food with "their own twist" (which is not indicated on the menu). The Venison was questionable as were the Clams Casino. Thirdly, the portions were small considering the prices; and lastly, the wine list is scant with very few appreciable choices. PS - Made Reservation on "Open Table" and indicated in "Notes" that is was my husband's birthday - No Acknowledgement from Clock Tower staff. read more

Horrible. Unprofessional, childish, ridiculous place. A snotty waitress decided to spray with cleaner the table next to us. However, the idiotic jerk sprayed the bottle directly on our table and us. I had cleaner in my mouth and my husband was choking on it. I will never set foot in this place again! It has been exclusively the wrist place in Brewster for food and/or service. Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is great. It has a modern country feel. Although we chose to sit inside, there a nice outdoor space set up with games and on Fridays they have live entertainment. There is even a separate room for parties. It's a hidden gem that's tucked away and I'm so glad we discovered it! The menu consists of local farm to table foods that are so fresh and tasty they really capture that delicious "homemade" flavor. The food is freshly prepared and you can really taste that in everything from the warm baked popovers (and yummy homemade butter), the deliciously dressed mixed green garden salad, main courses with gravies that are light in feel but heavy in flavors, and deserts that literally melt in your mouth! Even their drink menu has so many flavorful options you'll have trouble choosing one! The portion sizes were perfect too. Just enough food to leave us feeling satisfied but not stuffed. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. The price was very reasonable for an upscale place with such fresh ingredients. All in all we loved our dinner experience and not only would we recommend but I think we have found our new favorite place! read more

I've been here several times with parties of all sizes (2 to 18 people). The staff is always professional yet easy going, they always seem to make their guests feel comfortable. The food is wonderfully fancy! It's not so fancy that I won't enjoy it because it's still "real". Everything I've ever had is amazing! They catered a wedding I attended recently and OH MY GOODNESS. Our waitress although was pleasant, had to asked 2x for my coffee & 2x for plain mayo for my sandwich, considering there was only 3 tables at the time it detracted from our overhaul experience. Overall the food was decent not great but decent. The fact that the waiter spilled wine on a dinner mate did not endear me to the restaurant. After the accident the waiter froze and didn't clean up and the manager never apologized, this was surprising. So incredibly disappointed. What a beautiful place and concept, with such good potential. I gave it a second shot after a really bad instance, but wow its just terrible and I will not spend one more dollar there. The bartender should really learn what a pour is and stop giving the customers significantly less than what they are paying for a glass of wine. My husband and I went here for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week- we just moved to Carmel about a month ago and wanted to try and check out new places. This place was AMAZING. There isn't really a hostess stand when you walk in- you walk into the bar, so I did feel out of place for a second, but the service was great. The food was delicious. I got the shrimp and grits app OH MY GOD, probably the best I have ever had. My husband got the meatloaf and I had the short ribs- both were delicious. We got the apple cobbler and the pudding for dessert, I loved the cobbler, the pudding was just alright for me but my husband loved it. It is so nice to have a delicious farm to table restaurant that close to us. There was even a live band playing in the bar and they were great! This is officially my new favorite restaurant in the area! read more
