We have had two great meals here so I'm fully prepared to give this place four+ stars. It's best to make a reservation as their capacity is reduced (esp inside) but both times we've been able to get in. Service both times was great. They usually have a printout of menus then a QR code you can scan to view the menu on their phone*. Both times I have had the local tomato salad and it was heavenly. I could eat that all day. The first time, I also ordered the buffalo wings. They were big and meaty, with a medium spicy sauce. They also came with whipped blue cheese which was off the charts good. This most recent time, I had a NY Strip which was service with brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. Everything was amazing. The steak was tender and flavorful. The sprouts had some nice roasted crispness to them and I could have eaten a lot more. The potatoes also had something that gave them great texture and flavor. I don't know how to describe it but it was elevated above the common spud. The portion size was incredibly generous as well. I had to force myself to finish everything on my plate (it actually wasn't too difficult, but I was very full). My better half had the "chicken nugz" that come with cole slaw and mac and cheese. Again, the portion size is generous...two people can share this. The nuggets are the best I've ever had. For dessert, the cinnamon swirl bread pudding is the way to go. It's delicious. Oh, cocktails are great too. And the non-alcoholic blueberry smash is also delicious. We're thinking of getting a place nearby here and if we do, we will definitely be regulars. *this would be five stars if they had wi-fi they could share. The location is remote so my Verizon service was not good so I had a hard time accessing the menu online. If you're going to direct customers online, I think you should provide them wi-fi and print the network and the password on the QR code. We decided to try this place for two reasons. One the black bean burger and fresh options and secondly that the sides had things my one year old son would probably like. We were a little hesitant pulling up to what seemed like a very empty complex (to be fair it was a Tuesday) but upon entering it was obvious the place was a popular choice for many. The service was welcoming and very attentive. The food was very homemade like which is a good thing! Super fresh and the right ingredients and seasoning. Nothing was used to overpower anything. The biscuits & grits were so uniquely fresh, it was as if they were foods we never had. (I usually don't care for biscuits at all.) The cocktails were no exception. We enjoyed the Tequila Mockingbird, Connecticut Lemonade (w/ locally sourced bourbon), Margaritas & good selection of craft beers. I tried several entrees I had chicken nugz, Seared salmon with bok choy , chicken waffle, and braised short rib. all of them was individually so amazing. cocktails so hard to explaining how nice are them sooo delicious! Look for the red barn colored building in the Clocktower cluster. Set back from the main road 22. Cute little patio dining experience, although the tables were set pretty close together making it challenging to social distance with people not in my immediate home. EVENT: Family Bridal Shower: AMBIANCE: due to COVID-19, the event was set on the PATIO which was very cute. There was a lot of space in the adjacent courtyard which may have been better utilized to spread out the tables more. The four top tables were very small leaving a distance between diners of just a few feet rather than 6 feet. I was not completely comfortable with that even though we were all family, we did not live together in the same household.Suggestion for the management: larger tables and utilization of more of the courtyard. Everyone wore masks except one or two of the attendees. That's not the fault of the restaurant but just ignorance. The menu was perfect for a lunch with options that suited nearly everyone. COCKTAILS: an offering of assorted mimosas was perfect. They used fresh fruit such as strawberries, mangoes, peaches, etc. Very nice touch. I am allergic to alliums but not to seasoning. Unfortunately, the dish was grossly under seasoned and no salt or pepper was offered. This is a common mistake with my allium allergy. In full transparency, the hostess forgot to advise the chef in advance so their effort was really appreciated. Salad:: The mixed green salad was delightful; fresh and light. The perfect serving size. ENTREE: I have allergies and the chef extended the courtesy to try to accommodate the best he could. I gave him/her free reign over what to serve me. The result was tagliatelle pasta with shrimp and scallops. I believe the pasta was homemade but more care would be needed as it was stuck together in a very unappealing way. There were only two shrimp and two scallops in the entire dish, but they were cleaned and cooked properly. Chefs tend to not season instead of using alternative seasonings. SERVICE: Service definitely made up for the lack of flavor in my dish. SETTING:4 stars. Service 5 stars ( Schyler), Food: 3 stars. I would not go out of my way to dine there since it was about 35 minutes from my home, but I would recommend the restaurant to others in nearby neighborhoods. I had been to this restaurant several years ago so when I was in Brewster this week on business I decided to try it again. First this restaurant is located in an office park so if you don't know it's there or don't have any business in the office park , it's unlikely you'll see it from route 22. I ordered the Rigatoni Porcini with veal cheek ragu. While I waited for my meal I noticed that for an obscure location it was pretty busy. Dining area is small but considering the location and potential customer base I thought not too bad. Later I found out they have a much larger area for parties or very busy occasions. Back to my meal. A lot of flavor but slightly dry for me. First time for veal cheek ragu, but I enjoyed it and would order again. I'm slowly discovering more restaurants in the Brewster area thanks to a dear friend, and her recommendation of Clock Tower Grill was another great win. The menu is wonderfully diverse and just picking a dish is hard, they all are extremely tempting. I opted for the tuna tartare and the scallops with charred cabbage on this occasion. Both were absolutely stunning! The balance of flavors and textures was perfect. I also love the great selection of wines by the bottle, but also glass, including one of my favorites, New Zealand Pinot Noir. We just happened to be in the area on a Friday, and found this restaurant on Yelp with some very nice reviews, so we figured we would give it a shot. As I called last minute (about 5:00), I was not hopeful we would get a 7:00 dinner reservation. I was greeted enthusiastically and was booked a reservation! Upon arrival we were met by the hostess (Cassie)who turns out to be the chef's wife and co-owner. She recalled our conversation and we were promptly seated in the dining room. The dining room is decorated in warm tones, with reclaimed wood and a couple of feature walls that create a terrific, casually and relaxing atmosphere. Service throughout from our server (Heather) was terrific, and she answered all our questions about the restaurant's history, its owners and the space, which offers ample outdoor seating in season. Live music was featured in the bar are, at a comfortable volume. The bar also offers a large screen TV and plenty of seating. The wine list is short, but corkage is only $15, another nice plus for me. Fortunately, we had a nice Paso Robles Syrah from Booker with us which paired magnificently with our meals. Warm, fresh bread was promptly delivered to the table with a roll of Vermont Creamery butter. Chef Rich takes the trend and focus of fresh and local seriously, and the menu reflects plenty of creativity with both ingredients and recipes. We started with a "Cassoulet", a neat twist on a classic French bistro dish - with a rabbit sausage and white beans. This was ABSOLUTELY magnificent and a relatively large portion. I devoured the leftovers for breakfast the next morning! My wife went with the "shrimp and grits", sprinkled liberally with smoked applewood bacon - also killer. In an effort to play "can you top this", I went with an Elk Osso Bucco in a rich dark gravy over mashed - also fantastic and not gamey at all. The Syrah was signing with this dish. My wife opted for shrimp and scallops over fresh tagliatelle pasta and was a very happy diner. The only reason this did not get 5 stars was the highly anticipated "special" dessert of maple bacon doughnuts came out cold. All in all, we LOVED this spot and we are looking for an excuse to get back with friends ASAP. read more

I am so sad to leave a mediocre review for this place. The issue is that when we started coming here years ago, you got amazing food, great portions, great service and great drinks for a price that was worth it. We were always greeted warmly and served bread with fantastic butter right away. The last two times my boyfriend and I came, food and drink was still fantastic, service was still good, but prices got higher and portions got SMALL. Not to mention we were no longer given bread to start.... (we notice these things). Tonight we ordered Calamari (was delicious) ... that being said, It was honestly enough for one. Huge plate with maybe 15 pieces TOPS of calamari. Not what you'd expect for an app. Then came the entrees, his pasta dish was delicious but skimpy. When you order pasta for $26 ANYWHERE else you know you'll have leftovers. Not here. My "salmon sandwich" never mentioned on menu it would be raw salmon first of all.... that's okay I like raw. Lifted up bread and had to dig around for the salmon, SO skimpy. Ended up being mostly bread with a bit of salmon taste. Lesson learned- come here if you want to spend a lot for food you can pay less and get more for elsewhere locally. Sad because I love this place! read more

However for the price, I expected much better service. Although our waitress was pleasant, the rest wasn't as good. Unexpectedly snobbish. Clock Tower Grill. What a great restaurant. The food is incredible, the owners are pretty cool too. We met Rich and Cassie a few years about when we were trying out some food for our wedding. We ended up hiring the Grill because their food was hands down the best in town. We don't live in the area anymore but we find ourselves popping in here about once a year. The Tower never disappoints. I had the seared tuna this past weekend. Great stuff. I ordered it rare and it came out cooked perfectly. All of the menu items are original. You're not going to find a classic or predictable menu here. That's what makes this place unique. It's also noteworthy that everything is fresh and for the most part local. At first glance you might think that the prices are high. That may be true, but it's worth it. You're paying for high quality. read more

Excellent local beers on tap and an eclectic menu full of delicious surprises served by smart, attentive and friendly staff. Sit outside in the evening and you might get to see the baby bunnies hopping around on the patio. Highly recommend the halloumi salad and crispy herbed potatoes - a ridiculously good update of potato skins from the '80s. Also a good place to observe/chat with locals if that's your vibe. The food was good (all except one meal) but the service was terrible. Very slow, we were there for 3 hours without dessert or coffee. Waitress was unfriendly. Soup served with no spoons and hard to find waitstaff to fix that, some entrees early and the rest much, much later so the choice was cold food or eat alone, and the popovers were cold (yuck!). The shrimp and grits were delicious, salmon bowl eh, salads good but not huge, seafood chowder good, and duck breast good. I would return for the shrimp but will make sure to request quicker service. Could be the kitchen's fault, but that doesn't help my dining experience. Maybe they can't handle tables bigger than 4 people? read more

Went to dinner here with friends and sat on the outside patio. No idea what happened between a table and the chef. My assumption is one of the guests did not like their steak dinner and said something to waitress. The chef came outside and was yelling at the guests. We did not hear any yelling back at him. He then left and went back inside. He then reappeared and began yelling again. He then took the meal and threw it onto the walkway! He told the guests to leave. No one cleaned up the meal and we had to walk over steak and brussel sprouts when we left about an hour later. I don't care what happened or what the guest said, this is no way to act towards a customer especially when others were trying to enjoy their meal! No one apologized to any of us sitting on the patio. Will never go back because of that behavior! read more

My mom and I went back here recently for a special occasion- our two previous visits here were FANTASTIC so we were really looking forward to it. I can't believe how disappointing it was this time around- maybe a new chef? We tried so hard to like it, and our waiter was so wonderful, but the food was just so subpar. The house bread was different before and good- the little rolls they brought this time were tasteless and the texture was not good. Toast w wild 'shrooms & ricotta, with rosemary honey - it was mostly ricotta, with a few chopped shrooms on top which had a really dry texture, as if they were just old and halfway dehydrated. This would've been ok IF they were flavorful, but they weren't. At all. Kale Cæsar- I'm a huge fan of "real" Cæsar dressing and this just wasn't very good, just ok. Small portion. Mains: Lamb Burger: the waiter suggested that she get it well done, my mom is older and wanted to get home so she didn't complain and so I didn't realize until I ate the last bite of it, but it was ridiculously dry. Had I tasted it sooner, I would have asked them to do it over (not something I ever have done!). It was also very small & overwhelmed by the bread, and there was hardly any sauce. Lamb shank- just ok, small, not very flavorful. I had this one of the previous times I was here and it was delicious then, so I was sad. I had asked for roasted instead of mashed potatoes (which was a special request) and got the mashed, not a big deal but just added to the negative experience. We opted out of dessert b/c we didn't want to take a chance on another disappointment... Wine was good, server was very nice, love the space..but we were just really disappointed b/c it wasn't nearly as good as before- but it was still just as expensive. I have had several very good experiences at this restaurant in the past. Tonight they had several large groups and should have limited the number of tables seated to track kitchen capacity. Staff were nice and did their best but had too much to attend to. The food took forever to arrive and wasn't really hot. I had the black bean burger which was underwhelming. Working near CTG I come in frequently for lunch and dinner on occasion. CTG is a go to spot for myself & business clients as I have never left unhappy about any meal or their service. The menu is always changing with new specials that keep you wanting to go back to try something new. In my opinion, the portions are sized appropriately so that you don't feel like you over ate & you won't leave hungry. Prices are fair for the quality of your meal. Our first time returning after Covid. No we did not make reservations but it was 5:30. They tried to seat us at a corner table with no view and we asked to sit in a booth with a window. No problem our seating was moved. Our waitress, Veronica was delightful. She knew the menu and made excellent recommendations. Our cocktails were great! Bees Knees and Blueberry Martini. The appetizers were delicious, shrimp toast and Soup dumplings. The main courses were also delicious, Suffering succotash (Scallops in an amazing sauce) and lobster risotto. The desserts were also delicious, Linzer torte with Vanilla gelato and Bread pudding. The highlights of our time there were the waitress (Veronica), Cocktails and the Sufferring Succotash. I've been here twice for lunch in a period of one week. Simply put, the food and prices keep bringing me back. The food is as good as it was when this place was Sentrista. The prices are lower than they ever were. The servers and staff are pleasant and knowledgeable as always. What sets Clocktower Grill apart is the menu. There aren't any restaurants in the immediate area that serve this type of American food. Furthermore, the menu is creative and full of items that most American restaurants never offer. Some examples are potato mushroom hash, bouillabaisse with saffron tomato broth, and a kale salad with dried apricots. Finding an American restaurant in the Brewster-Danbury area is hard. Finding an American restaurant with this combination of good food, low prices, fine service, and a creative menu, is nearly impossible. Wow! All I can say is, this place is beyond 5 stars. I came here for dinner with my parents and brother the other night after making a reservation on Open Table. When we got there, our reservation was honored right away and we were brought to a table towards the inside of the restaurant. From the beginning, the staff was friendly and approachable. When I saw the menu, my jaw just about dropped. The options were endless--lobster risotto, glazed salmon, lobster Mac n cheese... It was as if every one of my favorite dishes was on this menu. Before we ordered food, we decided to order some drinks. I got one of the specials, the pumpkin margarita, because duh, pumpkin. My dad got one of the pumpkin beers and my stepmom got a vodka cocktail. Each of our drinks were equally delicious; I've never had a pumpkin marg before, but I would again! I loved that even their drink menu was seasonal and full of maple- and pumpkin- flavored alcohols. After much deliberation, we were ready to order. Because I couldn't decide what I wanted, I made my stepmom split the lobster risotto and cod on a bed of pumpkin grits with the Mediterranean and kale salad for an appetizer. All I can say is: holy shit. My favorite part of the meal was the creamy pumpkin grits, but everything at dinner was incredible. Everything down to the maple vinaigrette on the kale salad was superb and had me licking my plate. Even though we were so full, we got the honey and vanilla bean pudding and chocolate chip cookie for dessert and thank God we did because these were just as incredible as dinner. I am a huge fan of clock tower. They used to have a pasta that was out of this world. Rigatoni with a poached egg, rabbit sausage, parmesan, and something else. Ugh it was to die for. But when I just went this weekend we had two dishes. My boyfriend has the venison and was disappointed with the portion. The food was great but the menu didn't say venison frites or medallions. The glaze on the venison was a bit sweet but the venison itself was really good. I had general tsos soft shell crab and it was delicious!! Served over a bed of pineapple and pork belly fried rice that was awesome. We also shared the burrata salad with mint arugula and snap peas and that was great. They knew we were sharing and split the dish which I love. read more

WOW!!!!!! I can't say enough positive things about this spot! If you are a true 'foodie' or just a person who enjoys great/local/made to order dishes, this is a place to try! Their grits (and I HATE grits), are absolutely amazing, and my wife who lived/has family in the south and KNOWS her grits confirms this. Just go! They have an outdoor seating area for warmer weather, usually a guy strumming a guitar... just a great experience all around! Had lovely email conversation with Cassie but my first phone conversation with a gentleman host was terrible ..he was abrupt, rude and sounded stressed..felt the venue wouldn't be a good fit for my daughter's Bridal Shower and we booked elsewhere. A few days later received another email from Cassie telling me they were no longer interested in hosting my daughter's bridal shower so there was no need for us to come for a tour. We've been to their restaurant a few times now and always have a really delicious meal. Another nice surprise is they run the kitchen at Old Salem Farm for their horse shows, so I don't even have visit their restaurant since I'm at OSF at least twice a month with my horse. Obviously the menus differ, but it's a welcome reprieve from the tired, dull horse show food that is typically served. Don't fill up on bread (and butter) even though you'll want to! Everything we've tried has been good, and they make accommodations as well without batting an eye. Highly recommend, but make a reservation! read more
