Yesterday I wrote a Review praising Climate Care for their service. I would like to thank them for repairing our AC. These hot days have been brutal. But I am very disappointed with Climate Care regarding the cost for the part and replacement of the part. I don't mind paying for service, but $345.00 is to much to replace a part that was only $17.97 on Amazon. Taking advantage of women, and or seniors is unacceptable. Our AC just wouldnt turn on and we called for check up. The guy they sent, Allan was very professional. He introduced himdelf and confirmed the owners of the house before he started working on our AC. He worked on it for almost 5 hrs, going up & down the exhaust putting on & off his shoe covers. Richard Samkas, the technician that sold me the whole house fan, (which really made a big difference this past Summer) came over, as promised, to inspect my furnace for this coming Winter season. He gave great recommendations on how we should move forward with our AC system. He wasn't pushy or forceful in his sales pitch. Everyone knows AC shops are difficult to get ahold of, especially during the summer months in the valley. Whens its 103 and my AC crapped out, i was in a state of emergency. I was refered Climate Care by a friend of mine, and holy smokes these guys were on it!! They were able to squeeze me in at a perfect time. Climate Care's Senior Technician, Richard Samkas, was just here at my home giving our air conditioner the once over. To be honest, I wasn't happy with the news. But then, not surprised either. Our system is 26 years old and no amount of care (we have done our best) is going to keep your furnace and air conditioner from aging. My favorite thing about our discussion after he was finished was seeing pictures of the insides of my machinery along with explanations of what I was looking at. He was very thorough and thoughtful in sharing the bad news with us, trying to make his suggestions of solutions as easy to swallow as possible. The company offers a very nice "club" that will get your system checked out twice a year for a very reasonable price that we joined. The goal being to keep the equipment in the best possible condition. Yea for worry-free maintenance! I highly recommend Richard and Climate Care as a good source for your HVAC needs. Contacted them as came recommended by people on facebook community page. Original appointment was 5-7pm and they called to come earlier; super excited because hot as hell and eager to get a quote to replace outside coil unit. Technician was "Richie" who met us and tried to upsell us on a whole house fan unit. Then proceeded to ask whether we are just calling to get quotes; obviously yes because we do due diligence to get 2-3 quotes. He got aggravated and then pressured us to use them and told us "will give you $1000 off if you move forward with me today, and I don't have to give you the $1000 off." WTF, who interacts like this to earn business. In addition tried to have us finance at 9%; what an assumption as were were going to pay all up front but didn't even get to that part. Let's just say home mortgages are at 2-3%, auto loans are 1-5%, and this 9% is a rip. He ended up storming off the premises and closed his notebook. Was pushing us for a price we wanted to spend and he would call owner to get approval. How the heck would I know, that's the whole point of getting an estimate. Needless to say, was very eager but now very disappointed. Definitely going with another company after this negative interaction. I get there have been other satisfied clients, but being treated like this is pretty bad. Subsequently we received two additional quotes from other licensed and reputable HVAC companies that quoted (use your imagination) 30-45% less. We ended up getting a Trane 5 ton system with another company 40% less. All i can say is do your homework and do not get pressured to sign the same day. We do appreciate him calling back to apologize for his actions, so hopefully this will not happen to another potential client. read more

Our Ducts were aging and inefficient. Juan provided us with a plan within our current budget so we could replace them immediately. The Climate Care crew was on time, Alan, Ron and Victor were ready to go to work with all tools, and materials ready and in the van. Thoroughly organized to complete the job in a timely and competent manner. They were thoughtful of our property and contents, covering all work areas with clean tarps to protect all articles in the surrounding areas where they were working. Respectful of myself, my wife, and home, asking questions to ensure they knew where everything was located that needed their attention. They advised me of the work they would perform and what was needed to ensure there were no delays in finishing our project. They completed the project in under 8 hours, cleaned up all areas by sweeping and vacuuming, provided pictures of the work they performed and left our home and system in absolutely perfect condition and working order. NEVER EVER CONSIDER THIS COMPANY! All I wanted was my AC unit tuned up before summer and they had sent a coupon in the mail. After the tune up the salesman claims there is a long list of issues and if I don't replace my AC unit right away he GURANTEED the unit will blow up before summer is over. That guarantee was a clear red flag this company hires shady pushy sales people and sure enough I was right 1 year later my AC unit has not blown up and is working fine. Second issue NEVER EVER give them your phone number because they will spam you to death with calls, voicemails and text messages. They refuse to remove my number from their call list and it's literally impossible to block their number because they use a call center with endless possibilities so I'm literally stuck being harassed by them for the rest of my life; I've blocked 12 of their numbers so far and just got a call and text from a new 13th Climate Care number. read more

Our furnace went out the day before thanksgiving I set up an appointment on Monday They cane the next day (actually 4 hours early). We had senior service tech Richard Samkas out to our home to do a $39 AC tune up, we bought the home 2 years ago and never serviced the system, my wife and I suspected there was not enough cold air coming out of the supply registers so we called Climate Care from a flyer we received in the mail offering a $39 AC tune up! We called the Climate Care office and they sent out Richard Samkas! We suspected there was an issue and prepared for the worse! Richard was very honest and thorough, he found a filter in the bottom of our furnace that has never been changed since we lived here for the past few years. Richards knowledge helped us to understand that the dirty filter was restricting most of the air that should have been supplied to the home! It's been approximately 3 months since they installed us a "brand new system" and I've already had problems with it TWICE . First I must say... my parents AC needed a brand new replacement as well.. but they paid $5000 LESS than mine. And their AC is literally BLASTING with cool air. So I feel like I got played there. I honestly should of went with my parents company.. ANYWAYS, we got a brand new system put in and it was working fine for the first few weeks. Then I noticed it stopped getting cool but continuously blowing out air. I thought nothing of it and went on for a couple more weeks. Even My guests start to complain that my house is hot and humid. So I called climate care to have a tech come take a look. He came , looked around, open vents, Clean the big unit outside, clean the filter, and did whatever else he did that I wasn't paying much attention of. Anyways, after he left it was fine for a week.. (that was two weeks ago) Last week, I noticed the same thing happening again . Taking long to cool down to set temp or not even reaching the set temp at all. (Even after following the advice Oscar gave me since I have dual unit; one must either be off while the other is on or one must be set at a much higher temp while the other one is cooling..) it didn't work... instead the house is getting hotter. I ignored it for a couple days. Thought it was just me. Well just yesterday my husband was outside and notice the pipe/faucet that usually drips water when our AC is on , wasnt dripping anything. As a matter of fact it's dried out completely (which is not good). So today before leaving the house we turn the AC on and set it at 75. We left the house since 11AM. We got back at 10PM and our house was at 79 degrees. What?! It is now 1AM and it went up 1 degree so it's now at 80. I just set the temp down to 73 but the AC just keeps going. It hasn't turn off at all... and the house isn't cooling down either. (Imagine our PG&E bill) We are so uncomfortable. We have our fans on but it really isn't doing much. It is so inconvenient to stress about this "brand new unit" from them. I called them and left a VM hoping to have someone come out today since I'm off. Im honestly just a bit irritated at this point because we put in so much money for this "BRAND NEW SYSTEM" just to keep stressing "when is the next time I have to call climate care again because it isn't doing what it's supposed to do"... it's a brand new system... we shouldn't have to go thru this yet! Update : they were able to get someone out the same day! And that's what I love most about this place. But anyways, tech was able to find a leak that needed to be replaced since the first techs did not put enough of something and it caused a slow leakage of the cool air. For starters climate care came in thousands less than any other bid to replace our heating and air conditioning system. They scheduled an appointment within two days and had it installed in less than a week from when I initially called. From the salesman to the guys that came to do the installation they were professional polite and respectful. The guys even went out of their way to help keep my dogs from running in and out of the doors so they didn't have to be in the kennel all day long. They didn't try to tell me they had to rebuild half of my house in order for me to have an air conditioner this summer like most companies did. There was no used car salesmansalesman hard sell.
