New Conch hoop with green jewelry
Brianna T.

Went for a piercing 2 days ago, hoping to get an industrial done. Right away Sammie said she'd have to check me out and gave me her honest assessment that it wouldn't work with my ear shapes. I was disappointed but glad she was professional and knew what I would expect if I did get it done and didn't work out. I ended up getting my conch and I love it. She made the experience so calming and was super nice the whole time. I've gotten 5 piercings at cliffs now and will keep coming back!

Had some bad experiences here I don't recommend it to anyone. The workers suck! They talk shit about their clients and harshly criticize anyone's ideas. If you come in with an idea and they don't like it... they'll rip you to shreds. I understand not everyone's tattoo ideas are good and it's the artists job to communicate that with the client but they could be more professional about it. Forgot the name of the guy who did this umbrella but it's not good and he dug too deep into my skin. Reddit had a field day with roasting it. My favorite was, "You don't like your umbrella-shielded collection of sweaty electrified testicles?" Lol. Made the mistake of going back again and Chantal was my artist. She did good work but she was a b*tch! She didn't listen to my idea to begin with and was angry and lashed out on me for having to re draw it. I was so upset, she made me feel like a horrible person. I felt bad she had to redraw it but excuse me for wanting it to be the way I asked.. it's going on my body for life! Sheesh! After she made me feel uncomfortable and stupid I never went back. So unprofessional!

Love my tattoo, Super disappointed in the staff and I won't ever come back here again. First of all, I waited outside for about 3 hours. Although I did come on a friday night so long wait was expected but that's not even what makes me mad. In the middle of their LONG waitlist the whole staff decides to take a dinner break for about 45 MINUETS!!! I just think it was a little unprofessional knowing you have at least 10 more people you need to get into your shop and you close in an hour. BUT, This is not even the reason for my poor review. I finally get inside and I ask how much she thinks she's going to charge for my tattoo. My mom let me charge it to her credit card because this was my first tattoo. She tells me $50, immediately I think wow that's super cheap I expected like $75/$80 (Side note i know for a fact she said this because I texted my mom right away how much I was going to be charging to her card) She does my tattoo and I'm getting ready to pay and I pass her a $50 bill and she tells me she said $150. $150?! For that Minuscule tattoo that took you 20 minuets?! So whatever I wasn't going to haggle her and the work was already done so we go up to the front to swipe my card and she tells me she thinks she's pretty sure she told me $180 so we can meet in the middle and do $170?! This woman totally tried to scam me!!!! She completely tried to take advantage of the fact that I'm young and this was my first tattoo and was the last person in the shop surrounded by her coworkers so she knew i wouldn't make a scene. NEVER GO HERE!!! THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU

My favorite !

Love this place! I recommend Taylor , I always go to her for my tattoos it's also a cool environment, I love looking at all the art work on the walls and ceiling !

Traditional center labret (opal and CZ Leroi)

Lauryn was amazing! She let me take my time browding the jewelry before committing to a piece, and she even found one that matched my septum ring perfectly. We HAD to do it. I had been painfully uncertain about which labret style I should get, but she made me feel secure and relaxed about the traditional center. She was thorough and clear about care instructions and risks, and when push came to shove, the piercing itself was almost COMPLETELY painless. I literally barely felt a thing. I am so happy with the result, and I know that if I do ever want to change to a vertical labret in the future, I would want to see her about it. Thanks, Lauryn!

I actually really love my tattoo! I went for a walk in the only negative thing was the wait it was almost an hour but i got rick and he was so nice and the tattoo came out amazing!

Management is good but I got a shitty tattoo here which I later had to get covered up from a real professional the first picture is what I got the 2nd is what I wanted. I reported this to the manager and she wanted to help fix this but I didn't want another tattoo from this shop. Instead I got my cartilage pierced which I guess made up for the tattoo since I got it covered up a month after it had healed.

Been going here for years for most my piercings. Always been a good clean and trustworthy place. Hadn't gotten anything done for a while decided to get my nose done again, and the piercer Angie was amazing start to finish! She's was very reassuring and let me know every step of what she was doing and was very sweet. Made me feel very comfortable. She's been In the business for a long time. Pierced my girlfriends hips years ago and remembered how nice she was then. Highly recommend her if you want an experienced piercer you can trust!

Done by DIANNA TAUNTON at CLIFF'S TATTOO. The word is spelled completely wrong.

I got a tattoo by DIANNA TAUNTON at CLIFF'S TATTOO in Centereach, NY. The tattoo is supposed to read "Fun Trouble" in my best friend's handwriting (as it was supposed to be a tribute to her), and Dianna spelled the word completely wrong (I posted a picture as well if you click view pictures you can see it). Dianna started the "b" before the "u" and then tried to cover it up. The worst part? She didn't even tell me!! She rushed to put the bandage on so I didn't notice until I got home. I went back and spoke to Dianna and 3 other artists and was told to either pick at it or get it lasered off. No compensation was offered and no apology was given!!! I plan to get it covered and completely redone by a different artist at a different shop. I plan to go to Bart Andrews at Unify Tattoo in St. Augustine, Florida; he's phenomenal. I've gotten piercings at Cliff's before and they came out great, but for tattoos I definitely DO NOT recommend. I am extremely disappointed at the unprofessionalism and disregard for what happened to me.

Got my bellybutton pierced by Samantha and she was soooo sweet and explained everything and was very genuine. We did have to wait an hour in a half in our cars and someone was called before us who signed their name after us. But Samantha made up for it with excellent service

Anyone know what kind of material they typically pierce with? I have to get an mri soon but was planning to get a piercing tonight

Marilyn pierced my rook with surgical steel. That seems pretty standard.

It's been 10+ years since I've been in the piercing chair...I was definitely overdue!…read more Upon walking in I was immediately greeted. I spoke to Jess about what I wanted, and explained an issue I was having with a current piercing. Jess listened to all of concerns and about what I wanted for my new piercing. She didn't rush me and actually listened and gave me feedback. Then, in the chair I was. Before I knew it Jess took care of one of my piercings and then I had the new piercing I wanted. Jess had such a gentle touch and made sure I was comfortable. We even made some small talk during the short piercing process. I will absolutely be back for all my piercing needs as well as when I decide what my next tattoo will be. The shop itself was very clean. Great music playing as well. 5 stars all the way!

Visit Date: March 22, 2021…read more I wanted to come to Notorious since I noticed the name. I'm a hardcore old school hip hop fan and I felt like I needed to because of Biggie. Coincidentally on Biggie's death date I walked in for a booking after getting a haircut nearby. I met Austin, he's 22 but I was secretly calling him the 5 year old because I knew he was on the younger side. I'm 38. If he reads this review now he's going to know I called him the 5 year old. I showed him what I wanted and he booked me for the 22. On the day of the tattoo we only got the outline done but that is not Austin's fault, it's mine. I didn't know the tattoo was going to be so big and take so much time. I wanted to see the guy I'm seeing now (he was at my friend's house) and I had to run back to Baldwin to get my son from his father by 7:30. So Austin just completed the outline of the tattoo. I was going to schedule with him to come back for color but than I decided I'd like to have it colored in here and there by the two main artists I see regularly along with any other artists I encounter before it's all colored in for other work. So I probably won't be back to Notorious tattoo but my experience there was a good one and I can't complain about it. I also got a tank top on discount because I was getting tattooed that day and I appreciated the merch discount. I'll proudly wear the tank and maybe that will get one or two new clients their way. Thank you Notorious and Austin for a good tattoo outline.

First, I need to apologize to DCT for not writing a review earlier. I HAVE been going there for…read moreyears, referring people for years & it takes this ignorant post for me to post a review. So, to everyone at Dark Child - I apologize for skipping a critical step in the process - not writing a review at the time of service. Now, for a reply to this comment. This woman has not been coming for years, I saw her about a year ago, maybe a little over a year, but certainly not for years. Note to self when attempting to take someone out on social media (which I don't advise) #1: make sure you can back it up with solid documentation #2 please use this amazing tool called the spell checker before hitting submit & lastly, if you do not have documentation, do a bit of research on the words libel & slander. I came to DCT by way of accompanying a friend who was getting, of all things, a touch up, by none other than Aja. Before this, I had one tattoo done many years ago & was perfectly happy with just that one. I went along for the ride (about 2 hours from the Bronx) & thought that would be it. The entire crew there, Aja, Ari, Caryn, Vel & the rest of the non-staff crew were warm, welcoming & they all had this zany humor that I clicked with right off the bat. The cover up was done on my friend & to this day, I cannot see what her original tatt was. The shop is super clean & they are serious about their instruments. Since then, I have been back for a touch up on mine & gotten several other pieces done, all by Aja & have a plan for a larger piece later this year. I was in the shop on a few occasions when Samantha came in. Never once was she anything but ecstatic about the work Aja had done - NEVER. She bragged (& rightfully so, about her pieces) that she was being chosen to represent Aja's work from Dark Child, to which I believe Aja won 2nd best female Tattoo Artist in Colorado - look it up for yourself. I remember one night, she was trying to talk Aja into a cover up she wanted & Aja patiently trying to explain that it was not a good idea & why. I had just finished up & was on my way out, but it sounded to me in that brief conversation, that she realized that Aja made sense in what she was saying - Welp, I guess not. At the end of the day, if you go to a specialist, an expert in their field & put forth an idea & this person tells you it's not a good idea & why, they may know what they're talking about. This is something you are putting on your body for life. Artistic input for your dream idea is everything, but if the idea is flawed, listen to your artist - they do this for a living. Reading the screen shots, however, makes me quite sad for her & I genuinely pray she gets some help.
