The girl that did my conch in September seemed annoyed that she had to do her job. It was weird and unwelcoming vibes. And I recently just changed the earring and the placement is horrible. Its way further down than what its supposed to be. I asked her to line it up to my other ears conch. Im so upset ,its a major irk that its uneven. I can only think of having to use a different and bigger piece for some sort of optical illusion to not get annoyed every time i look at it. Went for a piercing 2 days ago, hoping to get an industrial done. Right away Sammie said she'd have to check me out and gave me her honest assessment that it wouldn't work with my ear shapes. Had some bad experiences here I don't recommend it to anyone. The workers suck! They talk shit about their clients and harshly criticize anyone's ideas. If you come in with an idea and they don't like it... they'll rip you to shreds. I understand not everyone's tattoo ideas are good and it's the artists job to communicate that with the client but they could be more professional about it. Forgot the name of the guy who did this umbrella but it's not good and he dug too deep into my skin. Reddit had a field day with roasting it. Love my tattoo, Super disappointed in the staff and I won't ever come back here again. First of all, I waited outside for about 3 hours. Although I did come on a friday night so long wait was expected but that's not even what makes me mad. In the middle of their LONG waitlist the whole staff decides to take a dinner break for about 45 MINUETS!!! I just think it was a little unprofessional knowing you have at least 10 more people you need to get into your shop and you close in an hour. BUT, This is not even the reason for my poor review. I finally get inside and I ask how much she thinks she's going to charge for my tattoo. My mom let me charge it to her credit card because this was my first tattoo. She tells me $50, immediately I think wow that's super cheap I expected like $75/$80 (Side note i know for a fact she said this because I texted my mom right away how much I was going to be charging to her card) She does my tattoo and I'm getting ready to pay and I pass her a $50 bill and she tells me she said $150. $150?! For that Minuscule tattoo that took you 20 minuets?! So whatever I wasn't going to haggle her and the work was already done so we go up to the front to swipe my card and she tells me she thinks she's pretty sure she told me $180 so we can meet in the middle and do $170?! I had been painfully uncertain about which labret style I should get, but she made me feel secure and relaxed about the traditional center. I got a tattoo by DIANNA TAUNTON at CLIFF'S TATTOO in Centereach, NY. The tattoo is supposed to read "Fun Trouble" in my best friend's handwriting (as it was supposed to be a tribute to her), and Dianna spelled the word completely wrong (I posted a picture as well if you click view pictures you can see it). Dianna started the "b" before the "u" and then tried to cover it up. The worst part? She didn't even tell me!! She rushed to put the bandage on so I didn't notice until I got home. I went back and spoke to Dianna and 3 other artists and was told to either pick at it or get it lasered off. No compensation was offered and no apology was given!!! I plan to get it covered and completely redone by a different artist at a different shop. I plan to go to Bart Andrews at Unify Tattoo in St. Augustine, Florida; he's phenomenal. I've gotten piercings at Cliff's before and they came out great, but for tattoos I definitely DO NOT recommend. I went there to have a piercing changed.. I waited about 10ish minutes until someone helped me and told me to put my name on the board. I waited another 20ish minutes before leaving; during that time two girls wrote their names down after me. I left and was called 15ish minutes after leaving. This was my first tattoo and the place was recommended to me by my fiancé since she got both of her tattoos done there. This was my first tattoo so I was pretty nervous but had an idea in mind and made an appointment with Eddie. I walked in and he already had something drawn up and showed me. It looked good but wasn't exactly what I wanted. He got to updating the design and I sat down in the waiting area. In the meantime a young woman walk-in came in for her first tattoo and Anthony talked to her about it and gave it to her straight that he wasn't the guy for the job and explained why and who would be better which I thought was really cool. He gave it her straight. No BS which is a nice change. After a short while Eddie came back with my design only for me to like the original one better. He didn't give me a hard time even though I basically made him draw up a new design for nothing. Eddie was great! Took my sister for her first ink here.. first experience with Jesse was top notch, talented and honest guy with 5 star service. A few months later she came back and got a second tattoo with Eddie .. she stopped by a few weeks later asking for a touch up, and whatever dirtbag receptionist they had working there told her to apply Curel and come back in two weeks since her skin was "tight." Two weeks later confident 18 year old sister walks into Cliffs solo and the same lame who told her to come back two weeks earlier curses her out, denies the touch up, and tells her that her tattoo "is already fucking black." Now, I understand that some shops dont want to deal with young kids who arent tatted but she sits JUST fine. Needless to say a paying customer is still a customer and I can guarantee you this chump wouldnt have had the balls to speak that way had she not walked in alone. I came in because I wanted to get mine redone after being unhappy with how it was pierced down the street at Tattoo Lou's. After waiting three hours, I asked once again how long the wait would be and he said "about an hour". A walk-in shouldn't take over three hours, especially for a tattoo that's the size of a nickel. The management was TERRIBLE!! While waiting soooo long with three other customers, we watched the workers fuck around in the back, not taking their job seriously. I accepted it but after a 2 hour wait once it was my turn the artist charges $100 store minimum and says the artist don't do finger tattoos there. It's funny as the answering machine when you first call clearly states THEY HAVE NO STORE MINIMUM!!!! Worst tattoo/piercing shop on Long Island. I've had piercings for over 20 years, and had them removed due to surgery last year. I went to Cliff's to get new jewelry put in, and they all gradually fell out for no specific reason. My piercings were in so tight before my surgery, that I had to go in to have them removed by somebody else. The jewelry that fell out and was lost added up to several hundred dollars. When I called and explain to them what happened, They said since I didn't come in within two weeks they could do nothing for me and couldn't tell me why the piercings fell out. The girl on the phone actually told me that it may have been some thing I did. So I called Utopia and they actually knew why my piercings fill out. They were very knowledgeable, you should go to utopia instead of Cliff's. And I highly recommend Lotus Tattoo in Sayville for all your tattoos. I had both tattoos from cliffs that I got years ago covered by a great artist at Lotus. I have several friends who got bad tattoos at cliffs that had to be fixed or covered. The quality artist and piercers that used to work here many years ago are gone. Do not ever go here. This app wouldn't let me leave a review without giving at least one star but they deserve negative stars. And no I'm not someone that usually goes out of my way to leave bad reviews I actually feel like people that do that don't have anything better to do. She created a calm and comfortable environment in which I was fully informed of what was going on at all times and I was in control. She was an absolute pleasure to be around.
