Amazing view and ambience, staff is friendly, but damn the food is bad gave it two tries because it's the bar at the resort I am staying at. Pork sandwich was dry and tasteless, and the chicken lettuce wraps were even worse. Tastes like it was frozen in a bag and then boiled to defrost, and then microwaved to heat up, and kept in the sun to keep warm. Then they served it the next day. If you are staying at Sheraton Resorts, this is a good restaurant to try while you are there. Facing the beach, the ambience is pretty cool. The servers are friendly and will help you decide what to order if you need their help. We had the chicken burger, quesadilla and two drinks. Everything was great except the chicken burger. Awesome outdoor bar located at the Sheraton hotel - just steps away from the beach, so you can only imagine how beautiful the views are! It's also right next to the Black Rock jump, if you're a daredevil and doing the jump, I highly recommend coming here before or after. We had the pork nachos which were great. The Lilikoi Chichi was probably the best drink I had during my entire time in Maui! It was the perfect, blended, tropical drink. I loved the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. Head towards the water from the parking structure and look to your right as the beach comes into view. Nachos are amazing. It's the real deal nacho cheese, not melted cheese. Also, anytime you need a fork to eat Nachos you know it's good!!! The view is beautiful and you get to watch people jump off Black Rock. Cons Service is sadly awful. Be prepared for long wait times, unfriendly staff, and having to get your own refills from the bar. These guys are in a BIG rush to get you out of the grill and it makes the experience pretty uncomfortable. Price is way too high for what it is - food wise. Located at Sheraton we went to this place for their live music and hula dancing. It's a pretty sweet spot to watch sunset too. Definitely beautiful open air seating right on the beach. Live music starts around 5:30 and plays until about 7:30. There was hula dancing which was nice touch. Between 5:30-6 they have tiki torch lighting, Cliff jumping ceremony which is pretty cool to enjoy with kids. Food was average and definitely not cheap. It is however one of the more reasonably priced restaurants at Sheraton and surrounding resorts. We ordered drinks which were good. My husband really liked his bourbon Ginger drink and said it was very potent. I ordered a smoothie which was ok. We ordered tomato basil hummus with pita. Pita was very good but hummus was just bland and had no flavor. Our server was very nice though and have is suggestions about drinks and food. Reviews made this sound like a "have to do" event. Instead it was simple a way to gouge money out of a historic storytelling event. The cliff diving was relatively short, but great on telling the local history. Yet you can just watch it from the beach and save yourself a ton of money. Four people and our bill for a round of drinks was $48 (inc. tip) with one drink just being a Coke. Waitress was extremely rude and the area too small for the crowd size. Drinks, except the smoothie, were horrible. My chichi tasted like it was made with cheap bar booze. (Not at all comparable to the one I had at our hotel, the Montage.). Even the Coke was watered down and not drinkable. Would have told waitress, but she only came back around just to drop off check. Adding insult to all of this the Sheraton charged $6 parking for the 45 minutes we were at the hotel. read more

Walked down the beach from the Westin for dinner one night, to give it a try. Our impression was so-so. Started with the nachos, which are very average. They use the velveeta type cheese instead of real cheese, which always makes the chips soggy. It was true in this case also, which usually means you end up eating the chips with a fork. I had the cliff burger and my wife the tiger shrimp. We both thought these entrees were pretty good. The burger had a good taste to it, and the shrimp had a little bit of heat to it. Great view of the ocean and sunset, and it's basically an outdoor restaurant. Also, if you are there at the right time, you get to catch the cliff diving show. read more

While the family is on the beach or snorkeling around Black Rock, The Cliff Dive Bar at the Sheraton is the perfect place to grab a drink. The seats along the edge have a perfect view of the people diving off Black Rock into the water. We snacked on a huge plate of nachos that is easily sharable with four or more people. Over the past week, my family has eaten here every day. So as I write this review, it's based on numerous experiences. Overall, this is a good spot. I can honestly say that we all enjoyed the food and drinks. The burgers, the chicken and mahi mahi sandwiches, the salads - they were all quite yummy! No complaints on the food. The service is friendly although it can get very busy here. Sometimes food can take up to 20 minutes to arrive. That was the longest we waited. Shortest wait time was 5 minutes. Also, it's a beautiful oceanfront resort and the prices are higher than average. That should be expected. The grill station is outdoors next to the bar and you can watch them freshly make your burgers, etc. I liked that aspect. It can get busy around 6pm right after the Cliff Dive ceremony. It's first come, first serve, and sometimes tables are at a premium and you have to stake out who's getting ready to leave. read more

That being said I had the hummus appetizer and it was more than I expected. A well appointed basket comprised of rosemary hummus (really very good) and pita chips. To my delight the basket also contained apples and carrots. My wife had the mahi sandwich and it was acceptable on an enormous bun with a sweet relish. Cliff Dive is your basic resort pool bar/restaurant with amazing ambiance, friendly service, and overpriced food. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the food here was actually pretty tasty and came in a good quantity to help offset the ridiculous price. Wanting a light lunch while spending the day at the pool, my husband and I shared the skewer trio. $41 for three skewers seemed absurd but the skewers are quite gigantic with huge chunks of meat. One trio order was easily enough for 2 of us. We tried the chicken, steak, and shrimp skewers and all 3 were excellent. Grilled to absolute perfection, even the chicken was moist and tasty. The trio also comes with 2 sides and the salad and chips and dip were great. Still overpriced, but you're at least getting pretty good quality food that is cooked well. The view is spectacular and the outdoor seating is right by the pool. Just watch out for the wind if you choose to sit poolside. We ended up with quite a few napkins and potato chips flying away. read more

Usually come here a few times every trip, whether we stay here or not. either park in their garage or walk down from Whaler's. This time we get there and notice very few people and no one cooking at the grill, no table service and happy hour is limited to a few drinks - no food! Come to find out that the bartenders are people they brought in because the regular people are out on strike, they said they are no longer serving food because they couldn't handle it. (Their words). On the way out we stay a few people standing around as we left the property and noticed one sign leaning against a tree that indicate there was a strike. Last review on 10/18/18 was five stars. I don't see how unless they waited a few days to post. Don't bother going unless you wait until strike is over. For service they get a 3.5...this is a very casual place , it had great drinks and the food is cool...but there are no dedicated waitress and you could've waiting for some time before one of them gets over to you. Very expensive for mediocre food in my opinion. But the view during sunset is amazing. I had the mahi mahi tacos which were semi dry.. thank goodness for the spicy mayo. Then i shared their signature burger the da kine which was overly disappointing. Comparatively, ive had plenty better burgers in NY. The beef wss dry coarse and overcooked. Their pineapple mustard was a tasteless mash rather than saucy. I actually had to add ketchup to give it some flavor and ease the swallowing process. The best thing i had was the tiger shrimp.
