Lets Review this place for what it is, A dining option inside of a Resort. That being said Food prices cost less than a normal resort. Really on par with most prices in Maui. The food is fresh and great tasting. Service is exceptional, We stopped in about 7 times at least and never had a bad experience. We found the Cliff dive a great way to end the night, Grab a few drinks have maybe a 2nd dinner (whos counting) And they had live music every night. For the price it is honestly a great value, anyone who thinks otherwise has not really traveled much. Ambiance being within feet of the ocean makes it a must stop into. read more

Andrea was our server and she gave us all the aloha spirit! She is a shining example of how friendliness can make a good meal great!!! The kalua pork was more delicious than I expected but it hit the spot after a long morning of snorkeling and body surfing. Andrea made sure our table had plenty of shade, even moved it a bit to keep us out of the sun. read more

The food, service and ambiance were amazing. The added bonus was the beautiful sunset.

food was amazing. great views. drinks were amazing; just tell them what you want, and they will accommodate. thanks for taking care of us! we recommend. you can order a drink here, or meal; either way they will validate your parking garage voucher so its $1 per hour for first two hours. something like that; saves money. read more

We went just before sunset and found a seat pretty easily at the bar. The bartender was friendly and we admired his and the other bartender's efficiency. They never quit moving in a fluid manner while being attentive to us and very friendly. We had the vegan taro burgers and fries and were happy that they offered a couple of vegan choices. The burgers came out in a turquoise lidded container. It was good. The fries were good too! I had a mai tai that I enjoyed. My companion had a pina colada type coconut drink that was also good. The prices were in line with Maui standard prices. There was a hula dancer and a guitarist that were very nice. There is also the torch lighter/cliff diving ceremony that is interesting. Plus the stunning Maui sunset. We will be back! read more

I like the name of this place, and the location is excellent! What a view - an open air restaurant/bar overlooking Black Rock and the ocean. You can watch the cliff divers. In addition, it is also overlooking the intricate maze of Sheraton pools and hot tubs. read more

We ate a quick lunch here while staying at the Sheraton. Obviously the best part is the ambiance- nestled in the pool area set up slightly higher than ground level and overlooking the beach. So it has that going for it. We wanted something somewhat light/healthy so opted for the chicken lettuce cups. Food was 1.5/5 at best. The texture of the ground chicken was abismal. Flavor was really lacking. Lettuce was crisp and clean. For $16 it left a lot to be desired. All in all this is a good spot for a quick bite but don't bother trying to be healthy. Get the wings or the nachos or something that's hard to mess up, and enjoy the view! read more

OVERPRICED if I'm Completely honest but what else do you really expect from a Resort! BUT the food is pretty tasty had the pulled pork sandwich and it was pretty good! The mahimahi tacones were also great! read more

I think this place is cool because it is inside of the Sheraton Resort, but the food is very much Resort food. I thought it was too expensive for the quality of food that we got, but the service was really great and fast. We ordered the mahi-mahi tacos, but they were very peaceful and lacked flavor. I thought that the pineapple salsa and the cream sauce they had would really make it pop, but it did nothing for the tacos. We also order the nachos and added Chicken on top of them. They're your typical bar nachos so I would say they were better than the Mahi tacos. I did see people with burgers and that looks not that exciting, however if you're drinking and need some food to put on your stomach nothing wrong with trying this place out. They definitely have good strong drinks, it seems like everyone around always says the mai tai but definitely branch out. By the pool they do have wait staff that will take your order and deliver your food. It could all be charged to your room if you're staying at the Sheraton! If you need something quick to put on your stomach, I think this is a decent choice. read more

This is a great little bar at the Sheraton with amazing views of Black Rock and sunsets over Lanai'i. It's outdoors, unassuming (feel free to show up sandy), and fun. The mixed drinks were strong - and they ought to be for hotel prices. But check out happy hour (3-5 pm daily) and things get more reasonable. A $15 regular mai tai is $8 on happy hour. The Drunken Monkey drink was delicious but not at all potent. As for food, stick to items that come from the grill! The grilled chicken wings were amazing. The burgers hit the spot. But if you order anything *not* grilled, prepared to be disappointed. The nachos were horrible! Chips were slathered in fake nacho cheese sauce, store-bought salsa and guacamole. We ate the grilled chicken and plain chips from underneath and left most of it untouched. read more

We have eaten here multiple times during our stay. We have done to go and dine in, and were satisfied with both ways. It's high quality, tasty, and super fast. The tacos have been our favorite. Large enough portions to share. Highly recommend. read more

Hotel food is expensive. You're paying for the convenience of not having to get into your car to drive. This swimsuit casual restaurant is pool-side with ocean views. We got the volcano-spiced mahi-mahi tacos (2) and island style chopped salad. Food was good. read more

Great views and loved the cliff diving performance! The food was also incredible.

With beach side seating and a nice selection of Brews i had a good experience at Cliff Drive Grill. This spot is located next to the infamous Black rock beach, known as a great spot for cliff diving and we had an awesome view to the divers. I ordered the Tiger Shrimp with coleslaw and I must admit it was top tier! Only reason I'm rating this 4/5 is because we also ordered a build your own burger but in short, there was nothing to build for the burger. I also got a Mai Tai and it was a bit strong but I won't complain about that! read more

By far the most alluring thing about this place is the vibe. It's an open air restaurant /bar on the western coast of Maui overlooking the island of Lanai. It's designed primarily for the hotel guests of the Sheraton, but you could walk up from the beach for lunch or early dinner. The food is good and reasonably priced. Service is fast and friendly. Can't go wrong with this location. read more

If your staying at one of the many resorts on Kaanapali beach just start walking until you get to Black Rock. You have arrived. I can't think of a better bar with a better view. I had time to kill and a few hours left as a single guy. I just went out for a walk and came upon the Cliff Dive Grill. I said I wasn't going to have a drink before the wedding but I gotta! Sorry Honey. I was sipping on Piña Coladas overlooking Black Rock and the Pacific Ocean. And I say Don't like Maui, oh no. I love her. Don't like Maui, oh no. I love her, oh yea read more

Since we were staying at the Sheraton, we ended up spending a lot of time here. Mainly because of its convenience and the beautiful sunset views. Of course, because this bar is located on the resort, it's on the pricey side. Drinks range from $10-15 and food is about $12-20. During our stay we tried the Sun-Dried tomato basil Hummus ($12), Huli Huli Chicken Wings ($15), Cliff Dive Nachos with Pork ($15), Kalua Pork Sandwich ($18). Everything we ate was good, hit the spot after a relaxing day at the resort. read more

Got there right before sunset and had to wait for a seat. No big deal as we were able to see the sunset very clearly while we waited. As soon as the sun went down the place cleared out a bit and we got a great seat. The sky was even better as the sun went down to dark so it was pretty great. The cliff dive show was also fun to watch. The drinks were good and the cheeseburger and fries were excellent but the wait staff were even better. Maybe the best we have had since being here a week ago. Totally nice and accommodating. This is a great place to watch the sunset especially after the sun goes down. We will be back . read more

A worthy stop to enjoy sunset! Came around 5, enjoyed live music and a hula performance, noshed on a burger and fries and chips and salsa plus their version of a pina colada and lava flow. Stayed through the ceremonial cliff dive from black rock! The burger was perfectly cooked and came with really good fries. The tortilla chips were warmed, a welcomed touch. read more

I am in Maui for thanksgiving and i Went here for lunch and the food was amazing and so was the view!! It is right on the beach. We went back for dinner since the buffet was sold out but we didn't want to eat non thanksgiving food, so we asked our server/bartender Cipriano (spell check) is there anywhere else and there was not. He saw the sad look on my face and was so helpful and went above and beyond to call and see if there was any way they could squeeze us in and then walked us to the sold out restaurant so that we can have thanksgiving food. Can't thank him enough! Mahalo! read more

Ahh nothing like Monday Night Football starting at 2:30pm in Hawaii. This outdoor semi-circle of a bar has happy hour, but it doesn't start until 3pm and doesn't include any food. You do save about $3 off beers and they have two fairly decent TV sets in both corners of the bar. They ran out of one beer, but I did partake in a few bikini blonde lagers, but the real bikini blondes were right over my shoulder on the beach. The place was not busy, so the bartenders were easy to contact and ultra friendly. The $14 nachos were huge and had enough of all the usual ingredients, plus grilled chicken breast, to keep anybody happy. They even layered the cheesec sauce throughout the nacho chip layers - nice touch. The beach, football and nachos and beer, does it get any better? read more

I have to start with the views as they are stunning. You can have an ocean view or a pool view or both. They have live music, ceremonial torch lighting and hula dance everyday. The menu is short and sweet. I was here for cocktails and had the Mai Tai, it was delicious. The hospitality was an incing on the cake. We were escorted to our seat by hostess but somehow forced out of our seats by a different family. Not only did multiple hostess' apologized to us, we were also given discount on our food for the "mishap". read more

The view for the sunset cliff diving and the live music made this worthwhile, but the food and drinks were just average.

Sauntered over here to watch the sunset and decided to grab some grub. I honestly would not mind coming back here if I ever need a safe bet for a meal :) Pineapple mango smoothie $7 -- this was delicious! Well I mean, it's a bit expensive for a small cup but I'm a tourist on an island so what can I say. Up Country Kula Kale Salad $12 -- kale, wild rice, quinoa, cucumber, tomato, sun-dried cranberry, beets, tossed in lemon honey vinaigrette. SO YUM! This has basically all the ingredients I love so naturally I had to order this. I think I can eat this all day with some tomato soup and baguette or grilled cheese. Actually, I think I can add this to the list of things I can eat alone for the rest of my life. The burger is a solid A in my book. It was $14 to start and since there's 2 premium toppings added that's $2 each. The beef was juicy and very flavorful, the Maui onions are of course the best, and the buns were good because it didn't get soggy. Needless to say the view was spectacular! It's an amazing location right by Black Rock. Quick by the way, the sun does not set at 5:30. More like 7.. Haha so don't go too soon or just expect to sit there for a while. The service was okay, nothing outstanding. I don't know if it's because it was because it is a busy time or what but pretty much our order was taken, food was served, we asked for our check and we left right after. read more

We went here for a quick snack while staying at the Sheraton and were overall very disappointed. The service was good and our waitress was extremely nice. However the nachos were absolutely terrible, especially for 12 dollars. The cheese was your standard sporting event liquid goop, which was really really disappointing. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at the Sheraton Maui, especially at Cliff Dive Bar! We had planned to eat elsewhere as much as possible during our stay, assuming the food would be sub-par resort food, but were proven wrong. My husband had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and I had a chicken skewer. Both were tasty, but the best part was the kimchee miso aioli...SO GOOD! I had to fight my husband over it - he kept dunking his sandwich in it. Not fair! I came home from the trip hoping to find a recipe for it online, but so far no luck. I'll be dreaming about that sauce... Yes, it is pricey, but that is to be expected in Hawaii. I would have preferred my mai tai to cost less than $11, but what are you going to do? I'll tell ya, you're going to order a $11 mai tai and happily sip on it while watching the torch lighting ceremony at sunset - that's what you're going to do! read more

Location is a 5. Food is 3.5. I enjoyed my da'kine burger. It was good but not $19 good (so pricey!) Wasn't overwhelmed by the drinks. No fries, so sandwiches are served with chips. Awesome outdoor bar located at the Sheraton hotel - just steps away from the beach, so you can only imagine how beautiful the views are! It's also right next to the Black Rock jump, if you're a daredevil and doing the jump, I highly recommend coming here before or after. We had the pork nachos which were great. The Lilikoi Chichi was probably the best drink I had during my entire time in Maui! It was the perfect, blended, tropical drink. I loved the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. I wish I could have it again now. The service was also great. The waiters/bartenders were friendly and on top of things! read more
