I've gone there previously when I had some issues with my Mac, but had sort of forgotten about them until I was face with the issue on my husband's laptop. He had a simple request.... can you get the battery replaced? I took it in and was great professionally by Sam who took a look at the machine and saw that while he could repair it, given the other issues with the computer (including a broken touch screen, an inoperable fan etc) that it made sense to purchase a new system. The difference in price between just getting the battery and getting a new system was so worth it AND not only did he clone the system (and help it get set up) BUT he also took the time to move the "better" parts from the old machine -- more RAM and upgraded drive. College student on a budget and had a broken laptop 2 weeks before the semester starts. Dropped off my laptop for a free diagnostic when other places I called said around $40 for diagnostic alone. After explaining my situation with Tim, he said he'd try his best and he went beyond expectations, not only did they work with my budget, they even got me my laptop the next after after the quote, which was half of what other places were trying to charge me. I had a totally top-notch professional experience with ClickAway and highly recommend this company. My computer had a file problem and Best Buy's offshore Geek Squad agent crashed my computer. I spent 5 days going back and forth to Geek Squad Santana Row and was horrified at the poor and incompetent level of service. I must have spent over 15 hours with them and still they could not get my laptop to where it was before the crash. It was devastating! A good friend recommended to me to pay the extra money to have someone from ClickAway come to my home and restore all of the things that were still not working. They sent Tim Chen, who is a brilliant and super-knowlegeable and skilled technical profession. He was super-fast and moved through all of the hurdles with great ease. He also made lots of recommendations. What a difference - day and night. I had paid Geek Squad for a yearly service, but it's not worth it. Going forward I highly recommend ClickAway, who also have branches in other cities. Tim Chen was amazing. I am going to make some technology purchases and will only want to take my service needs to this company. Although we initially called in for only a dead computer speaker on my wife's desktop, ClickAway's Jeff came to the rescue for my ailing laptop instead. He went well beyond trying to fix the many problems I had including speaking to three different Dell technicians to obtain the correct drivers, etc. He had to make a few trips to our home just to try to get my laptop remotely connected to my wife's printer. Everything seems to be in order now and as my laptop no longer intermittently loses the internet, prints remotely and is much faster than ever before. GIANT RIP-OFF, DON"T FIX, DON'T TELL YOU WHAT"S WRONG! AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF. Avoid working with the technician named Ed. This is a review for the store off Union Street. I was charged twice for fixing "connections" which took over 2 weeks. It took two weeks for diagnosis and 2 more for fixing but the connections are still barely working. It is almost impossible to charge my laptop. I was charged $650 but originally they wanted to charge me $850. THEY DID NOT FIX IT. IT"S EXTREMELY HARD TO CHARGE MY MAC PRO LAPTOP OR USE IT FOR MUSIC COMPOSITION AS I KEEP LOOSING THE CONNECTION. ED, the repair guy never responded to any requests for an explanation of what the problem was, nor did the store. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF IF THEY CAN, I thought this was a good place but I was charged $1,000 to fix a broken screen and then the connections weren't properly fixed so once again they wanted $800 for that 3 months later. I never write reviews but people need to be warned about this store. read more

Well, I bet this is a common story. I tried to fix a problem for a couple hours and then the printer still didn't frint from the laptop. I'm sure I made it worse. I called these guys as I usually do for complex issues. Tim fixed the configuration problem and more. I had an issue with sharing my 365 account that was IMPROPERLY set up, an issue I created but had not resolved. These guys set have set up my computers and peripherals for over 20 years. Great service! I went in because my phone had a fat crack on it. They repaired it and cleaned it up within the hour and I was out the door with a fresh phone. Price was $200ish and I thought it was reasonable for the hassle free service and great detailed work. I dropped my phone in the pool a few hours later and it's still working great! When our 2 printers were all broken down at the same time, we were desperately looking for some quality repair companies. On Yelp we spotted ClickAway which has great ratings. We brought our printers to there, Tim greeted us at front dest, checked in, and told us next day afternoon they should have the diagnostic done. Surely the 2nd day Tim called us, explained briefly, then we came in. One printer is BASICALLY FIXED as its nonfunctional paper has been set to switch to paper tray 2 which is totally functional. The other printer is basically too old and not worthy repairing. All those powerful advices are FREE OF CHARGE. We are very grateful for their efficient, professional, honest, and kind services. 5 stars for Eddie and his managerial skills ONLY. I had used ClickAway in the past (different location) so I decided to come here since I was close to it. Long story short, I didn't have the greatest experience to start. First off, one of their reps (not Eddie) did not call me back as promised. They had my laptop for 5 days and I had to call 3-4x to follow up, which I should not have to. Finally on the 6th say, I got a call back after having pulled teeth. They had my laptop for a total of 6 days, only to tell me that the cost would be shockingly higher than anticipated. I was frustrated because 1. It should not take 6 days to get a callback and 2. He was not transparent with the price range and I was in complete shock. I made it very clear I was unhappy and just wanted to pick up my stuff and be done with it. Within minutes, I received a call from Eddie the manager. He was wonderful. I myself am a manager for travel medical insurance and my #1 goal is customer satisfaction and ethics. Let me tell you - he did everything a good manager should do. I was honestly impressed. He listened to me. He did not speak over me. He did not argue with me. He was extremely empathetic and truly understood where I was coming from. He explained the process of data backup, not to convince me of the price but just so I have a better understanding of how the pricing works. I let him know this was never communicated to me and he took immediate ownership of the situation. I expressed that I was not at all prepared for the cost and he actually worked with me on a price that worked for my budget, since the work had already been done and he preferred that I left happy. So to answer your question, yes I am happy with ClickAway since they have great leadership (Eddie) and he cares very much about the company's reputation he took my feedback seriously. My desktop computer crashed while installing the latest Microsoft update (windows 10 home). Apparently the USB wifi device driver did not update thus the update failed and I ended up with a real mess. Tim was able to save the data on my hard drive, install the latest version of windows, and set my computer up so it was just like it was before the failure. My iiphone screen was shattered in a drop and I needed to get it replaced. I called Clickaway, they had me come by the same morning to inspect it, and with proper social distancing and safety precautions inside the store, I dropped off my phone. This business is the best in Bay Area, if you are looking to get your computer repair this is the place to go to.  My work computer suddenly stopped working. I took it to them and Eddy was helping me.  After 3 hours he called me and told me there are some hardware issue and my HDD was failed. I really panicked. All my 8 year business files and  documents were saved on that Hard drive.  Eddy said it would be 50% chance that the data was recoverable. Called me back next day and gave me one of the best news in my life. He said they can recover the data for the great pricing which did worth. I was ready to pay even more because of their importance.  Data recovered and transferred to New SSD hard drive. computer was setup with new HDD. These guys are life saver. As eddy mentioned these SSD hard drive runs much faster than the regular hard drive.
