Place is probably one of the better bars on the Miami Beach Ocean Blvd strip. Came here to get a taste of Ocean Blvd as it has been a while, and still the same crowds as before. When we walked up security was strict on having mask on prior to entering, but after you are inside it's as you please. Hostess was able to get us a good table with views of the center bar and dj that was cool, and to the side of us Ocean so we had a great view. Ordered a few beers and drinks, waitress was always on it and helpful, and the djs music wasn't bad. Place also has a dance area and pool for those who really want to get down nd party too. Overall cool spot, would be back and worth checking out for someone who hasn't been here. read more

Came as a group of 5 for a bachelorette party. We had bottle service and a table. The service was really slow - we waited forever to get our champagne. Also, the appetizers were not great (nachos and mozzarella sticks). But, everyone who worked there was friendly. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you actually want to swim - the pool is tiny. The place is also not particularly clean, there's dirty water everywhere. The music was great though! There was a DJ and she was great, and so was the emcee. Came here to ring in my 29th birthday! We got here around 11pm so we could have drinks at midnight to celebrate. There was no line and just a few people in and around the bar. There was HOWEVER already a girl puking her brains out into a nearby trash can but hey it was also spring break so go girl. The bartender (wish I had her name!) was so nice and made amazing drinks! I got this berry lemonade vodka type drink and it was delicious! I wish all places could make this drink. It was dangerous. I had about 4 in an hour. Went to the bar to watch the game the frozen drinks are all amazing also got the kids my peach drink I recommend. Had the bang bang tacos must try for sure the but chips and salsa are the hidden gem for sure !!! Must have the chips as salsa!! Krissy took great care of me and my 2 girls as we arrived at 1:30am on a late flight. Michelle welcomed us with strawberry daiquiris. Update: This place fraudulently signed a transaction I paid cash for; essentially double dipping. Will be reporting this to the BBB. Shame on this place. Bottom line This place has a very lush and vibrant scene -- yes, even in COVID-19! But the prices here are exorbitant and IMO not enough to justify the visit unless money is of no object. On a Friday or Saturday night be prepared for long wait times and cover charges too. Be wary of their 'hidden charges' policy. It's absolutely insane! As a consumer, I always want to be informed exactly what the costs of everything are. That's why there's a menu, and I can compare and contrast. Well, if you're knew to Miami Beach, consumers have to adjust to 'hidden fees' that might be levied against them. We're beyond sales tax, but 'resort fees' 'service fees' and whatever else you wanna call it. Some charge between an extra 5-20 percent. And then there's Clevelander. And get this: You're charged an additional 30% surcharge, resort fees, just because. To add insult to injury, on some days Clevelander will also levy a cover charge. This place is outright committing highway robbery. So that eight dollar inflated bud light costs now eleven and twelve dollars. If you're not too careful you easily drop over a hundred dollars for a few drinks that normally would cost you thirty or forty bucks in total and just about any other restaurant. And since bartenders have absolutely no incentive to hustle since they're essentially being tipped 15-20% no matter what, this actually hurts customer service in the long run. Yeah, it's a complete ripoff. But the scene is actually interesting; especially on Sunday game days. You get people coming here of all flavors, shapes and sizes. The majority are tourists, but you also get a good crowd of natives here as well. Not gonna lie, It's actually a pretty good place to meet people of the opposite sex and possibly get their number to hookup later -- assuming that's your thing. Update: I had an extra 30$ mysterious charge to my credit card. Gonna have to contact my CC to clear that up. read more

We walked miles (yes probably 2 miles lol) along South Beach to get to the Clevelander. This is a pretty cool place! Managed to hit happy hour at 4pm so there were drink specials and $8 appetizer/picky foods. They get you on the drinks.... special might be $6 but they ask you if you want the $2 extra alcohol shot. Otherwise you're drinking just a sugar drink I think... hmmm... But who cares. We had fun! It's a great place to people watch. There are also cool cars cruising up and down the street. Service was great. Just watch it when you get your bill - they automatically add in 18%, then still suggest a tip at the bottom. read more

Idk what to say. Comparing July 2021 to July 2009, Clevelander was surreal. There wasn't a night when the bar wasn't packed with a line to get in -- day or night -- once upon a time. Man, COVID has really hit these tourist spots. But, I'll be fair and review this place in an appropriate 2021 context. With that said, tip your servers well!!! Went looking for a spot to grab a drink and a bite. DJ was good, so we stopped in. Decided to get salads.... needed to get some greenery and roughage for a change :) Both salads were surprisingly good, considering the whole menu has elevated bar food vibes. The pool is so cloudy & dirty you couldn't see the crud on the bottom {see pics} We were solicited three times in one day for illegal drugs on their property. It was loud no matter where you went in the hotel. This hotel is not by any means on par with the other hotels in the area. There are so many better choices when visiting South Beach. We tried to discuss our concerns with Mariano the manager on site but he said the hotel was full and they couldn't make any exceptions for our requests. Absolutely the worse service for drinks and eats. Security folks at the entrance having people lift their shirts (woman included) above their belly is laughable. Meanwhile you could have a weapon in your back or ankle and never have it detected. Security folks are a joke and rude to customers. Waitress for our table during a slow time was horrible, meanwhile, you have three bartenders all on their cell phones while customers are waiting to be served. But unfortunately on a slower evening the 2 bartenders took an excessively long time to get to me and my sister to get drinks. So much so that we were skipped over as new people kept coming and going from the bar. A man had even left the bar without a drink because they took so long to get to him. We stayed at this hotel and also attempted to hang out at the bar/pool. The hotel room is small & cozy but it does the trick and was clean. The front desk hotel staff were so rude. They were very busy the day we came though so we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now... the pool staff is just ridiculous. They all tell you a different story regarding the cover charge and where you can sit. Also they automatically charge you 20% tip on your bill so none of their servers try.
