They downsized the auto show this year. About 1/4 the size with the same amount of people. Never going back

The buying experience for me was good. Sales rep was personable and the loan application process was efficient. The finance guy wasn't super-aggressive trying to get you to buy things you don't want like tire plans, warranty etc...It' a business and they are going to ask. But a lot of dealers can be super annoying with this and keep pressing you to purchase something extra after you decline the offer. Those are the things that I find detract from the buying experience and process so I found the experience more pleasant than normal. No complaints.

Four years ago driving to our vacation destination our 15 yr old Highlander started showing a lot…read moreof dash lights. There was a Toyota dealer nearby so we drove there. It was a Friday night and they were closing for the weekend, we would have had to cancel our vacation. We decided to trade so we could get on our way but the only car available on the whole lot was a Corolla Cross. Recently we received an invitation to a sales event that was going to blow us away at Victory Toyota, we even had to make an appointment for this event. We walked into Toyota and saw very limited inventory. We looked at two cars and I counted five salesmen standing around in various parts of the showroom. Not one person asked to help. I finally walked up to a young gentleman and asked if there were any Highlanders. He said there were THREE outside ( huge sales event?) and proceeded to walk us out with no keys. Should we just look through the window? Upon going back to get the keys I wanted to test drive the Platnimum. I joked to him that I had planned to retire next year but if we buy a car that is going to change. I told him that I pick out the car and my husband does the numbers deal. He mentioned that when we got back to the showroom he'd see if retirement was still possible after crunching numbers. They did a quick appraisal of our Cross and then crunched NO NUMBERS...the price you see is the price you pay, minus the trade. We bought our last Toyota at zero down , zero finance. This dealership wanted 4.9 %. That is around $10,000 in intrest for the Highlander. . Land Rover is advertising 0.9% for select models. . We will definitely be looking around. . Ten years ago when my husband was looking for a vehicle for work he stopped at a competitor's lot just to see what they had to offer. The salesman was out the door and ready to greet my husband before he even got out of the car.

The entire process lasted maybe 2 hours - this included time spent searching their lot as well as the Mitsubishi lot next door. Our salesman, Steve, was friendly, courteous and helpful. To be fair, I'm surprised by all of the negative reviews although many seemed to be service center related. The only gripe I have is that we waited about a 1/2 hour while they "detailed" the car but once we received it, the inside was still dirty, there was a specific piece of hair still on the dash and the car smelled like smoke. I'm assuming that maybe only the outside was washed, so we'll have to detail the car ourselves. Nevertheless, it's no big deal as long as the car continues to run well.

I purchased a 2012 Honda ridge line not even two years ago. despite the many repair and maintenance costs from the "certified used" vehicle comes a manufacturing defect where twice now a part of my roof has literally broke off while driving on the high way and hit other vehicles. Honda has a policy where they only fix "safety issues" for some reason they do not think my car falling apart in the wind and physically damaging other vehicles is a safety issue. they begrudgingly fixed it the first time after countless back and forth with their terrible "service specialist" and terrible management staff who couldn't care less about their customers. now its happened a second time after either failing to fix or install it properly or just straight up refuse to acknowledge this is a manufacturing defect that is a safety issue to me and other drivers. even though they recently fixed the issue themselves they now refuse to warranty the part or cover a portion of the cost. they do not sell quality vehicles. they do not provide any level of customer service. they do not stand behind the work they do to their vehicles and they do not care if your car is safe for you or the drivers around you. I will never own a honda again, I will never trust honda middleburgh again, and i will forsure never trust their mechanics to fix something. i suggest you do the same 1/21 Here's an update for ya. Honda replied lying about when I contacted them. I messaged my sales person the day it happened he told me to kick rocks. So after countless back and forth with management they decided to fix it. The second part of the blatant lie of a response they posted is the fact they are saying this is normal wear.... Ask your self has your roof ever flown off your car while driving? Has that happened to any one you know? Of course not bc no one else makes cars this poorly. They still won't help offering to pay 20% of a very overpriced part that has broke twice now is just insult to injury. Again they don't care that my car is literally falling apart while being driven despite me keeping up on all the maintenance. Literal scum bags.

I'm sure the codes were cleared momentarily to manipulate the sale. At the time of the sale, I purchased the extended warranty and Next Step was pushy about their shop doing the repairs. The car was with them for months often on because the repairs were so poorly done. The Audi dealership said upon the initial inspection after I purchased the vehicle, reported the repairs would exceed the value of the car, keep in mind this was shortly after the purchase because the check engine lights were on. The car was inspected by 2 independent mechanics after Next Steps "New Engine" installment and the overwhelming report is that the NEXT STEP should never touch a vehicle again. Bolts were missing parts were put in the wrong place, hoses weren't connected properly. The list goes on and on it was about a 10 page detailed report from each in evaluator. The independent mechanics were disgusted that NEXT STEP would take advantage of a customer because Audi prides itself on brand loyalty rather than making a quick slimy sale. Don't walk away from this place, RUN. It's more like NEXT "MISTAKE" rather than NEXT STEP.

Once in Maryland I had to change the tires as they were bald and Matt refused to replace them before purchase. Then I had the car inspected at the local Mercedes' dealer and it had a major oil leak that had to be repaired in addition to all the maintenance required at 60k miles. Next step Auto Sales does not service their vehicles before selling them. Their goal is to stick you with maintenance costs and not take any liability for the condition of their cars before selling them. The Mercedes' dealer quoted 4K worth of maintenance required after inspection. I purchased the car for 27k. Steve the dealer owner denied the oil leak even though Mercedes' listed this issue on their inspection report. Steve also refused to honor the dealer warranty that came with the vehicle purchase which includes the engine and was quoted for 90 days / 3000 miles. I would not recommend buying a car from this shade tree dealer. Customer satisfaction is not on their radar at all! They just want to get your money and leave you stuck with a poorly maintained vehicle. Very sad. Below are pictures of the air filter and cabin air filter of the Mercedes' that they claimed to have serviced before the sale. Laughable to say the least. These guys should change their dealer name to "3 steps back auto sales"! If it was not for them having the particular car I wanted with the options I was looking for I would not even have bought a car from a non factory sponsored dealer like this one. Not hard to see the difference in customer service and the vehicle condition when using a low budget shady dealer such as this one. Stay away!
