Great service, easy to understand explanations of what needed to be done, got in and out at a reasonable speed

Few week ago.. Scheduled an appointment to change tire pressure sensor and radio. Dropped off my truck in the morning before work and was supposed to pick it up at 2pm.. got there at 2pm and my truck wasn't even in the bay being worked on.. they gave some excuse as to why, then pulled my truck in and I ended up waiting there for 4 hours literally until they closed at 6pm to receive my vehicle back. Here's the kicker.. the tire pressure sensor is still not fixed and neither is the radio. So here I am today bringing to back to get the tire sensor looked at again! Scheduled my appointment for the morning and stated I need to pick up my truck at 2pm. It is now 3pm and my truck STILL HAS NOT BEEN BrOUGHT IN AGAIN!!!!!! Avoid this place like the plague. read more

When you see the reviews on this dealership at 1.7 stars really take that into consideration. They mislead customers when it comes to costs, and what to expect during appointments. I called and scheduled an appointment to have a recall fixed on my vehicle. I also asked for an inspection due to a noise that I was hearing. Two weeks went by before my appointment, so you would think that they would have ample time to order the part for the recall. Day of, I checked in and my name wasn't even the name they had on file for my car. That's the second time that's happened. They always put it in a man's name. First time it was my husband's name. This time it was my brother in laws name. Both were with me when I leased, then bought out my car. But why was is not in my name? Sexist maybe? While I was checking in I read a sign that said to apply any coupons while checking in, because cashiers can't apply them when paying for the service. It's 2026 and that seems a little concerning and harder for customers... but we will get to that part later. Makes it very difficult for customers when bombarded with the ridiculous costs. Obviously to screw customers out of getting a discount. So I pulled up coupons and saw one for the inspection, and the clerk told me I wouldn't need it because the inspection was free. So I pulled up another one that said 10% off bonus coupon. The clerk told me all I had to do was screen shot it and email it to them. So I did that. I then waited just a little over an hour and the clerk came and spoke with me about the recall and said they had to order a part that would be delivered the following day. I'm sorry, why wasn't the part already ordered when I scheduled the appointment almost two weeks ago? They explained that they have to "make sure it needs repaired first" where was that information when I scheduled? Then they did find out the other issue my car was having. Among other things they wanted me to have serviced. They gave me the invoice and the cost of what everything would be, (recall would be free) but wasn't even going to be repaired day of. Why make an appointment at all? Why wasn't this information explained when scheduling the appointment. I also saw a diagnostic charge of $207 that I had to pay right then. I was confused because I didn't know there was a diagnostic charge. That wasn't mentioned at all when they told me inspections are free. Nothing was mentioned about paying for a diagnosis. They never even used that word when explaining what I was looking to have serviced. Ok so I might be a little uninformed, but that's a lot of money even when they didn't do anything to my car except inspect it. So I asked the clerk once they walked me to the cashiers about the coupon I sent them . They told me I couldn't use it today. I'm confused as to why. Because nowhere on the coupon did it say it couldn't be used for a diagnostic charge. My vehicle is only a 2022. It's barely 5 years old. Overall the invoice charge with all they want me to have serviced including the noise situation was $2300. I shouldn't be having to put that much money into a vehicle that's only 5 years old Basically I made an appointment, wasted not only my time, but also gas, which in today's economy is expensive. And paid over 200 dollars for them to tell me about a sound my car was making. I couldn't use the coupon I showed even when I followed the correct steps to apply it. And now I have to find time on another one of my days off to have my recall fixed because "they don't do recalls on the weekend". My only other day off is Tuesdays. I'd rather drive around with my broken part then go back to this dealership. I honestly won't. I'll go somewhere else. And I'll tell anyone I know looking for a vehicle to avoid this dealership as well. read more

I bought two vehicles from this location. And have services both vehicles. But I am not sure the service department does what they say. I can't prove that my oil change was even done. I can prove that the service tech doesn't check air pressures. And if he did check. I can prove he didn't adjust the air pressures. This could be one of two things. Lack of training Lack of caring. I'm not sure if the tech was trained. And I can't provide the tech even cares. Very disappointing. read more

Karen saw two young people and proceeded to say they needed to sign a purchase agreement in order to test drive the car and tried to bully them into signing it multiple times. she said this was the process for buying at this dealership and that the car wasn't onsite but as soon as the paperwork was signed she would have the car delivered for a test drive. the paperwork, which I have a picture of, was a purchase agreement. crazy shady was to do business but luckily in this case, young didn't equal stupid, as she obviously hoped. shame on Karen and shame on spitzer for allowing an employee to behave in such a predatory manner. read more

Dropped my truck off for an oil change and to get a recall fixed at 10:30. As I was waiting for my ride to pick me up in the waiting room, I watched them back the truck into the garage door shattering the glass pane. Nobody came to talk to me about anything or apologize. Came back the next day to pickup the truck because they didn't text me saying the truck was ready until 5:00 the day prior. Upon picking up the keys, they just pointed me to a general direction of where the truck was parked (truck ended up not being parked in the general area they said it was) they still didn't bring up the fact that it was backed into the garage door. I checked for damage (thankfully wasn't any visible damage) and went back in to speak to a manager about that fact that they were planning on covering up this incident and not telling me about it. They said the managers were in meetings. The lady from the fleet department (the lady that hit the garage door) says "there's no damage, it hit the hitch". When I asked if they were planning on discussing it with me they just said the same thing. Never once was there any sort of apology. Also, after leaving and reading the invoice, they didn't even fix the recall, just ordered parts for it. At no point was that told to me. Won't ever be coming back again. read more

Took our 2023 Ram in for an issue with the transmission. We dropped it off Tuesday so they could diagnose the issue. We told them we needed it back that Friday. Friday came and we heard nothing. Called, left voicemails, no return calls. Drove to the dealer (a 40 minute drive) to pick up the truck & they told us it needed transmission work that was covered under warranty, so they were keeping the truck. Told us they were hoping to have it back to us by Wednesday. My husband told them we needed a loaner because he was going back to work from vacation. Of course they told us they don't have a loaner, but we could pay out of pocket to rent a car. So now it's Tuesday & we had to call AGAIN to check on the status of our truck because no one called. Now they're saying they're hoping to have it back to us Thursday or Friday and they are still claiming there's no loaner. This has been the worst experience. The customer service here is absolutely horrible & we will definitely avoid this place in the future. read more

Literally can't stand this place. Bought my Jeep in May and was totally bamboozled by the sales people. Such a bad experience. Their service department also leaves much to be desired. I've had to take it in multiple times in the past six months, despite it being BRAND NEW. This morning I had an 8:30 am appointment because I got a letter in the mail about a recall. I arrived and they didn't have me in the system for my appointment. Thankfully, Sean M, the service advisor still was able to get me in. I had also asked for them to fill up my tires because they just became low last night. Apparently they forgot because they were not inflated upon me leaving. I also have to take it back to that seedy, disgusting part of town again in the future on a Thursday because that is the only time the waterproofing guy is in. my husband said that my driver side window was not sealed or shutting properly. Other examples in the past include having brought it in for service (I forget why on that occasion), but when I picked it up the oil change light had illuminated. Couldn't they have noticed and anticipated that and taken care of it? Apparently not and I had to come back again. One of the service guys, I think his name was Cory offered me an additional free oil change. read more

Took my car to Spitzer yesterday for a part for my oil drain cover and while they couldn't find it, my car seized up later that evening and was leaking near the oil drain cover. I was told because they didn't technically perform a service I was responsible for the systems diagnostic. I told them I would be taking it elsewhere and sending them the bill. Edit: Shortly after leaving this review I was called by the dealership and accused of lying and told this review was disputed. I was simply asking for them to look at my car. They told me to "never come back and that I was no longer welcome as a customer." If you leave a poor review be cautious when they call you. It will not be to apologize but to berate and harass you. If I could leave 0 stars I would. It's scary Spitzer lets their management get away with acting like this. read more

The service center is awful. I bought my jeep Wrangler from them and 2 weeks later had it on for service and 2 weeks after that and them a month later. All for the same issue. I was at the service center for 6 days straight, they said they fixed it when I had it the on Friday and my the time I got home the same issue so I drove back only to find out all the tech.were gone,but they did pod it and the same codes came up that they supposedly fixed...Took my jeep back on Saturday asked to talk to the manager I was told that would be Paul, well I sat there for over 2 hours and Paul Never came to talk to me,they claim my jeep is fixed again we will see.. So beware if you take a vehicle there, I don't think they know what they are doing. At one visit they said my issues with the jeep were because the battery in my key fab needed replaced.. Really???? Then when I said to them if they could check the AUX battery in my jeep they said my jeep doesn't have one.... Bullshit..Yes it does. Then the next day when I went there because the same light were on the dash that have been there since about 3 weeks after I bought it. They said maybe something is tripping the AUX battery.... I said you told me yesterday that I don't have a AUX battery...They didn't know what to say...well good luck to anyone who takes there vehicle there..I have already made a complaint to corporate.... read more

I would like to take this opportunity to express all the gratitude I feel towards Ted Sawicki at Spitzer CDJR. He was extremely helpful in seeing me through the purchase of a much nicer Jeep Cherokee and a voluntary repo on the Jeep Compass. I am getting much more respect as a driver. People are letting me in much sooner, etc. The Jeep Compass I was driving was leased for 3.5 to 4 years. I had to purchase it or give it back and I wasn't ready to do that. However, the second year of ownership more and more things were becoming irritating about the Compass. The last straw was when the starter went out. If you never want to replace a starter in a Jeep, I highly recommend that you disarm the start/stop feature by pushing the "A" button each time or maybe take other action. Beware, dont take your car here! If I could give no stars, I would.. Firstly Lucas ohh Lucas is a terrible service rep and worker. I have never seen someone lie so much. Lucas just fabricates stories to tell customers so they will not ask more questions.. He is totally unprofessional.. This dealer has had my truck for almost 4 weeks for a cracked gauge cluster lense, and for the entire four weeks, I did not get one call from Lucas or anyone from this company. Everyone in the company seems to be disconnected from one another.. I see other folck leaving reviews about this guy, lucas, yet the company keeps him around... If it were my company, my company would have standards. Im missing alot of details here but just to sum it up how crappy this place is, on my service number that they use to identify my car in the lot, they wrote the number on the back of someone's resume.. There are a couple good people in the company. For instance, parts managers and employees are great in caring when it comes to service. They are excessively short-handed and do not make phone calls to update on vehicle status nor do they ever answer the phone. It turns out the operators who will hang up on you if you vent any degree of frustration after having been transferred by them to a dead end number and happened to end up talking to them again when they don't hang up on you. They are very tart and snip snippy and act all all professional and non -personable. Today is June 11th 2025. I dropped my car off for a 9:00 a.m. appointment yesterday to have the air conditioning evaporator replaced under warranty. Not only did the entire day go by without them giving me a call, but today I called them in the 10:00 for an update to which I received a voicemail. Then the 4:00 p.m. hour came and I called again because I never received a call back. It was the operator who told me that in 20 minutes time someone would call me back. It's been 20 minutes now and I haven't received a call back. This problem has been going on for weeks plural. read more

I purchased a truck from this dealer. They had placed a different window sticker on the truck that didn't match the vin and options that were supposed to be on the truck were not. They sold my previous truck not even 18 hours after drop off violating Ohio law and refused to take the new truck back. NEVER EVER use this P.O.S. Dealer. They're a scam and if the sales department isn't enough just try and deal with the service department. HA! Service here is very slow and very poor. They had my car for a week. Took it in with some electrical issues and after charging me over $175 they said that they cant diagnostic the solution because the battery the battery was not fully charged. They wanted $600 on top of the $175 to replace the battery and then MAYBE they will be able to diagnostic the issue. Now that i changed the battery for $200 by myself they said it will be another $175 to try and diagnostic the electrical issue. IS ONLY THE ONE HEADLIGHT IS NOT WORKING ALL THE TIME. read more

I am very disappointed with the service I received at Spitzer CDJR on Brookpark Rd in Ohio. I brought the car in because it would not start (I wasn't sure the extent of the problem, so I had it towed in). They determined it was just the battery! Good new right? Wrong! They quoted me $800 because the battery is located "under the back seats" and the labor is "extensive." First $800 for a battery is robbery no matter where it is. Second they 100% lied to me about the battery placement (it's under the front wheel well, but they thought I was an idiot) and said well "it could be in a number of places we don't know until we see the vehicle." Nope. It's the same in all models of my vehicle (Newer models have a second battery under the front seat - but none have them "under the back seats.") I called and spoke to a different person who said they didn't know where the battery was but they could transfer me - it was the same guy who lied the first time. I then had a male call (I'm female) and they told him that it was in fact under the wheel well. They called it a "miscommunication." I'm disappointed that they want to get more money out of me based on my gender. I definitely won't be back here! read more

Can't say enough about the service here. They really saved my arse TWICE. Both were actually complicated repairs. Someone put a tube of fix a flat in my gas tank. Had it towed to local Firestone and they couldn't even look at it and they recommended this place. Spitzer was able to drop the gas tank scrub everything out and get my car up and running in less than three days. Another time as my electrical navigation system where again another garage so they couldn't even touch it and they couldn't find a thing wrong with it but I brought it to Spitzer and they diagnosed & corrected the electrical issue. Two times other shops couldn't or wouldn't touch my Jeep but both times Spitzer came through. Lessons learned going forward read more

Don't take your car here!!! I took my Jeep in on a Wednesday and it was not worked on until Friday. I asked them to fix the driver side window. I needed the wire under the steering wheel to be Re-attached like the Jeep dealership had done before for $70. Lucas (worse customer service rep) told me it was the motor in door which I disagreed with. He argued that it was and I needed to pay for new motor. I said no to new door motor but when I got my vehicle back, the lock in the driver side door no longer worked! Lock worked fine on Wednesday when I dropped it off. They had to have disconnected the lock in the door to make me buy a new motor for the door to fix window!! SCAM!! They also want to fix brakes for $3000 and got angry when I said I wanted a second opinion! They kept saying it was unsafe to drive but it was safe to drive when I drove it there. They said that I had a grinding noise which i didn't have until I got my car back on Friday! It's a scam with these people!! For 3 days I called Lucas but he did not return my calls. I asked for the manager, he was always in a meeting and never called me back. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else!! read more

Can I give ZERO stars? DO NOT GO to this dealership. Took my car in for something very simple, should take 2 hours and $200. Two days later they haven't even looked at my car yet. YES, i had an apporintment. First, when I dropped off the car, the Service Manger was yelling at his employees in front of me and other customers, VERY unprofessional. Then the employee starts to yell back at the Manager, and telling me he wished they would fire him because he had so much dirt on them. Once again, VERY unprofessional. Later that day called to see what was going on, "Ill call you back", he did not. Next day called three times, on hold 15 min. Took my charger here 3 times . Only becauae I had no choice. Each time was beyond a nightmare . This time takes the cake . Charged 170 for inspection when they only checked one thing and was told it would be a full inspection. When I questioned it I got several different stories amd was ultimately told they charge an inspection fee per section of the vehicle ! Was told the car needed over 5000 in repairs and I and my son in law questioned this and my son in law had to argue repeatedly, it was a fuse . One simple fuse ! Lucas , holy hell Lucas, rude ,lier , a**hole . And that is being very kind. This dealership also did this a year ago with a jeep we bought from them. Was told numerous things that added up to thousands of dollars . Questioned them ,insisted on seeing it ourselves. Was told a jeep specialist was looking at it .then it was narrowed down to two very small repairs needed . There was more wrong they never mentioned that was fixed by someone else . They can be under remodel but they are just polishing a turd ! Will never deal with this place again read more

Do not take your car here. Terrible customer service and don't care about it either. I had my car towed into their dealership. It needed a new engine, it was undriveable. After having my car for almost two months. I was looking at my app at the mileage from when I dropped it off to what it was now. it had over 600miles added! I asked them about it and they said the needed to make sure that the engine worked properly. I get that but 600 miles?! They also lied to my face when i asked if they detailed my car. I will never go back to this place. I contacted the corporate office about this and are investigating it. Save your sanity and stay away!! read more

zero stars!!! customer service non-existent. 15min diagnostic work that consisted of visual inspection: lock mechanism fuel tank door, water in taillight, exhaust leak (broken bolt at cat.) = 154.00 just to be told not covered under the warranty they sold me. BTW-all of the above issues I informed them about prior to their "diagnostic inspection" long discussion with service manager, unfortunately no help. I would have been satisfied with a compromise on the charges. I'll keep it simple. Five of us in service area waiting room. One leaves after service and returns ten minutes later, shaking. We ask what happened, he said wheel fell off as he was turning to get on I-480. They forgot to put the lug nuts back on. I could go on and on about how we all urged him not to sign anything they gave him. I could go on and on about how difficult it was just to make an appt. I could go on and on about how old and dated interior seems. And I could go on and on about terrible communication I experienced. Instead I'll just say: This place is dangerous. It should be shut down. Everyone should be fired. You could be seriously injured after having work done here. read more

So rude, and disorganized. I used their online service to book an appointment for an oil change. They did not have a lot of available time slots and were booking a week out, so I chose my time for the next week. The night before my appointment someone calls and said I needed to come 30 minutes before my appointment time. I moved childcare around so that this was possible. Then, the morning of my appointment another person called and said actually I needed to be there within a couple of hours. I expressed that I couldn't and that I had a confirmed appointment and even re-arranged childcare in order to make the RECONFIRMED appointment and then woman simply said there was nothing i could do. She said I could come at the time she says or don't get my oil changed. Perhaps one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. read more

Horrible customer service. Had work done here before and not even a year later, having the same issue. I told them about other things that needed addressed and they failed to fix them. Now that I'm out of warranty they tried to blame me for not driving it into service when the problem arose. I did do that and they told me everything was working properly when it was clear it was not. Horrible communication as well. They had my car all day and the only reason I got updates was because I called. Little did they know I was planning to buy a new Jeep from them but that sure isn't happening anymore. AVOID this dealership like the plague. This is the second time i've dealt with Spitzer (the last time was the dealership in Mansfield) and they screwed me over twice now doing the same damn thing. I checked to make sure they had a new 2018 Charger Daytona I was interested in and lo and behold it was LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE 2 HOURS BEFORE I GOT THERE. I go in and tell the salesman (who was so transparently fake in his niceness, it was obnoxious) that I am there to see the 2018 Red 392 Daytona. Right away, oh that car isn't here, it's a demo. WHAT????!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me? It's listed right on your webpage. It's a 52 THOUSAND DOLLAR CAR. Why the HELL is it a demo? And why do you have it listed AS NEW on your webpage when someone is driving it and PUTTING MILES ON IT, which means NO MORE NEW. That is just terrible, terrible business. Two years ago, I was shopping for a 2016 Charger R/T and went to Spitzer in Mansfield and damn if they didn't do the SAME thing to me. I get there and lo and behold -- THE NEW CAR I WANT IS A DEMO. I also did not like their salesman or manager, both of whom were morons. I ended up buying my new Charger R/T at another dealership and here I am, almost two years later looking to trade it in for a new Daytona and yet ANOTHER SPITZER DEALERSHIT screws me over. I went in to trade in 2 cars for a new or used Jeep Wrangler. I already had financing and knew what car I wanted. The sales man Tony was trying from the beginning to sell me a Jeep compass telling me that their was now way I could afford the wrangler. I did not ever get the trade in value on either vehicle and never was told the price of the wrangler, just that there was no way I could afford it. He tried repeatedly to convince me to buy a compass. I was not interested in on and told him that. Then I asked for my keys back, he stalled and staled then tried to sell me a different car. I told him I was in no hurry to get another car and I would try somewhere else. He still held my keys tryin g to convince me to buy a car, I was standing next to my truck trying to leave. I finally got my keys back after asking 8 times. I left with out knowing the trade in value on my truck or SUV and no Idea how much they want for the wrangler. I will not be back. I am very pleased with the way they took care of me. Alli was very helpful and knowledgeable. I felt like he was fighting for me. He didn't want me to leave disappointed. He made sure I got the best deal he could get for me. I left with a new car and a big grin. Alli is also very friendly and understanding. Had me comfortable the whole time. I will do all my car shopping with him. Wife is interested in a new car also. So I believe he will see me sooner than later. read more

Went and got my car "fixed " spend over 2,000 cash for repairs also including a fuel injector . I got it back recently and there's now more lights popping up on my dash and the same problem is occurring again just last night as I drove my vehicle and almost broke down on the side of the highway .. could t get pass 60mph . Another scam car company that doesn't turn there phone lines on when they open 9am ! It's either a scam and they just wanna keep mailing people or they have people straight out of highschool working on cars . read more
