I have used this shop three times over the past year. Every repair was done promptly and at the cost quoted. I've had my brakes replaced - you could tell the difference. My suspension and ride needed help; they replaced the stabilizer bar and other parts, significantly improving my ride and handling. Recently, I brought my car in to make the air conditioning colder. Whatever was done, I now have colder air conditioning, making my drive significantly more comfortable. They are friendly and demonstrate their attention to customer service and customer satisfaction. read more

He is a dirty lying POS theif. Replaced the same front end part, 3 times in two years to get to a "noise" when I looked back at my receipts and told him I wanted my money back, he refused and said I could get oil changes instead. The "noise" was still there. Hes a dirty con artist, DONT TRUST THIS POS!!! On one occasion his mechanic was giving me a lift home and complaining they were busy and the drunk mechanic called off again, so there you go. Do you really want a drunk repairing your car that you depend for your safety or the safety of your family and children, think about it! To top it off he's WAY overpriced. read more

Do NOT take your vehicle to this facility! They do the bare minimum in diagnosis once they "know'' what's going on, and offer NO reasonable explanation for not pinpointing necessary repairs beyond "replace your engine," or "you didn't ask us to do that." Their "diagnosis" for my '02 F150 was "no compression cylinder 2," without bothering to find out why. I mean, there's only about 5 possible causes for only one cylinder to have no compression! Another hour of work at most to track that down! I took my vehicle to them, planning to spend another $3000 to keep my $8000 investment in a new engine, new catalytic converters and various other parts on the road. Then, they don't even remember they performed NO REPAIRS, and send me a follow up text asking if everything is "great" with my vehicle. This is all compounded by a tire repair plug being put in the sidewall (big "no-no") of a brand new tire on a previous visit (never mentioned it to me, had to come across the plug myself a week later), and a power steering gear box they replaced that has had air trapped in it for years from yet another previous visit...absolutely shoddy work and horrible customer service in spite of their friendly smiles. They do slipshod work and will always blame it on someone else! I'll never go there again, and others would be smart to stay away also! read more

Thanks to Chuck and staff for keeping my car repaired and safe on the road. It was a big job but I had my car back the next afternoon. I appreciated being kept informed. Chuck explained and showed me what had to be done. Highly recommend!! read more

I totally got taken advantage of. I told them the issue with my car and they fixed something completely different and I paid $500 for something I didn't need and now I can't get what I actually need fixed. If your a woman be sure to make sure what they do to your car sill actually fix it because they WILL take advantage of you if your a woman. read more

Just another satisfied customer. Thank you Chuck! They have a great location and are willing to shuttle you if needed. I had them perform additonal work that could be a problem down the road. They were honest by telling me that it did not have to be done today. I had lost my last mechanic to illness and now have found my new one. read more

I recently moved to the Kamm's Corners neighborhood and needed to get the shocks and struts replaced on my 2007 minivan because they wore out due to the heavy loads I sometime need to carry. I got several recommendations and estimates for new front struts and beefed up shocks for the back, and based on the price and some reviews, decided to have the work done at Chuck's. I also needed front brake pads and rotors which he did as well, again for a very reasonable price. I made the right choice and I am extremely pleased with the results! The van rides better than new, even when heavily loaded, and I couldn't be happier! I only have the one vehicle and since the work took most of a day, I was able to get a ride home and back when the job was finished. My opinion is that Chuck is a straight-shooter, very knowledgeable, and will give you an honest estimate and a fair price. It's great to have a place that you can depend on to keep your wheels rolling and I highly recommend Chuck's Auto Center for anyone who needs auto repair service! read more

Chuck's Auto is the only one I trust to diagnose & repair my 9-year-old Kia Forte. As a 70-year-old woman, I'm a prime target for unscrupulous mechanics. Chuck has none of those in his employ. Chuck listens carefully while you describe the problem, and then clearly explains what needs to done, and gives you a fair estimate for repairs which are always performed in a timely manner. I have never had to return to Chuck's Auto for Do Overs as 'Chuck's Auto Does it Right the First Time. read more

Heroic service! Can't say enough about Chuck's responsiveness and integrity. Our 1998 Toyota Sienna sprung a radiator leak en route to our son's college graduation on the East coast. We limped into Cleveland on a Friday night while our son found Chuck's shop on the internet and telephoned him to explain our dilemma. Chuck's is one of just a handful of auto repair shops in the Cleveland area that work on Saturdays. He said he would install a new radiator for us if we brought him the vehicle first thing Saturday morning. True to his word, he fixed our problem and had us on the highway again by noon. Work was professionally done and fairly priced. Given our circumstances, any other auto repair shop could have sensed our vulnerability and exploited our situation. Not Chuck. He even entertained the thought of picking me up at our hotel room to get me back to his shop and us back on the road as quickly as possible. Chuck, you're a hero. I hope everyone who reads this post and needs his car serviced locally takes it to you! read more

I was recommended this auto repair shop by a friend. They did a great job, were quick, and were very transparent and courteous. Call in advance, however. Like many shops, they can't take walk-ins most of the time. read more

Chuck saved me when I was in a bind! While passing through Cleveland with another 6 hours of driving ahead of me, a seemingly minor bump ended up bending my axle. I could tell something was not right. I brought my car to Chuck, who had it diagnosed, fixed, and got me back on the road within a couple hours. Since I'd just had some work done on my car just a few weeks earlier, Chuck was kind enough to talk to my mechanic back home to discuss the specifics. Then he drove me down the road to a little restaurant so I could get a bite to eat while I waited. The service was quick, professional, and affordable. I got to my destination safely and just a little bit behind schedule. As an added bonus, Chuck even called me to follow up and ask if I'd arrived safely-- what a guy! If you are in the Cleveland area, I certainly recommend Chuck's. The service is competent and quick, and while it's never fun to spend money on car repairs, it feels good to support a local business with a kind-hearted guy like Chuck running the show. read more

I hate getting my car repaired (just like everyone else) but I like taking it to Chuck's. There is a knowledgeable staff that doesn't take advantage of me (no high pressure sales) and a friendly owner who is always there. I get my work done quickly, correctly and at a fair price. read more

I am a college student and not from the Cleveland area. I recently moved to Lakewood and I always take my car to Chuck! They do an excellent job and are always honest! It's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic so I am happy I found them! read more

I paid these guys 800 bucks to fix my A/C. I had to bring it back numerous times because they didn't know what the problem was. I got to a point where I didn't want to deal with bringing it back every other day. read more

They've taken care of my car and my fiances car for the last 3 years. Great service, great people, highly recommended.

My car wasn't running right and no dealership could get me in until the following week. I found Chuck on Yelp and called him and he took me in immediately. He is such a life saver. I took it in right before closing time and my car was diagnosed and fixed the following afternoon. I'm so appreciative for your speedy affordable job. I will be bringing my car back if I have any more needs. I recommend everyone go to Chucks. read more

Was recommended by a friend to check out Chuck's and the minute I walked in I knew I made a better choice. I was greeted politely and welcomed to make myself at home. I was able to go on a test drive with my car to point out the exact noise and problem I was having. Within 15 minutes my car was fixed and I didn't owe a thing! Would highly recommend chucks to anyone-- I felt comfortable instantly and feel like any other place could have justified charging me for the time. read more

The owner (Chuck) is very knowledgeable, honest, and personable. He is very good to his customers and will tell you what is really going on with your car (he is definitely not just trying to make a buck). His prices are very reasonable. As a single woman going to a new mechanic, I am always worried I will get ripped off or be disrespected when trying to get my car fixed. Chuck was quite the opposite of this. He is a very nice guy and won't steer you wrong. I highly recommend this shop! read more

I hadn't even had my car for a week and had issues with the brakes. After repeated trips to the dealership, and repeated assurances, the problem was never fixed. I took my car to Chuck's because I had heard great things about the shop. In just a few hours at his shop, the car was running beautifully. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable auto shop to take their vehicles to Chuck's. read more
