    Minestrone soup and malfatti

We wouldn't have found this place without yelp, as it is in an odd location. Don't let the restaurant front and lack of ambiance fool you. The flavors and the menu are very unique and authentic. If you think "Olive Garden ", this is not your place. Open your mind and tastebuds to the real deal. And along that note, Joanne is the real deal. This Italian woman, right from the Cittoni family will make your day! The only surprise I had that took me back, was that we were given two loaves of bread to go along with our meal for two people, then when we looked at the bill, we were charged $12.25 for the bread. I recommend this restaurant!

Spaghetti and meat sauce bread and a Pepsi

I was in the Napa area taking care of business had a taste for spaghetti and meat sauce so I went to this place and ordered spaghetti meat sauce 1 pint also ordered a half a loaf of bread and one Pepsi the order came up to $24.88 and the food was no good , it was awful. Best thing about the order was the Pepsi and the bread. The food was bland. The meat sauce didn't taste like meat no salt and the cheese and sauce had no flavor. Very disappointed took two bites and threw the rest in the garbage stay away from the spaghetti at all cost. I feel like I've been robbed without a gun.

They moved to this new restaurant in a shopping center. Come support them. I remember when they were in the little place behind the liquor store. We would get food every time we came to Napa and go to the river to eat. This new place is a complete restaurant with tables and chairs so you can take out or eat here. My favorite is meat sauce with baguette but the ravioli is also great. Have to come back and try something different. Authentic Italian food, family owned. Btw, yelp gives you the wrong address if you press on 'directions' it's on Imola Ave.

    Gnocchi and Malfatti

I'm a fan! Hubby is a Gnocchi man. My family recently moved not too far and got this place recommended by our friend down in OC. We got takeout at 11am on a Saturday and the Gnocchi and Malfatti are amazing!!! The 3 beans salad is so refreshing. If you're looking for authentic Italian takeout or catering. Give them a try!

This place is a hidden gem and I hope it's gets some attention here so we don't lose another authentic local family food spot! I drove over from Sonoma to enjoy some childhood memories with my son as we used to dine at the old Depot when he was a lil one. After Depot closed I'd grab some Malfatti and Gnocchi behind Val's liquor store and now their new location on Imola. We ordered a tray of that had all 3, ravioli, malfatti, and gnocchi in the meat sauce. We like to call it gravy and it's full of flavor with just the right balance. Grabbed a loaf of bread to dip in the gravy too and decided to grab a table inside. The owners daughter was so nice and showed us the wall of history she created to share as you walk in. We had great conversation and she was so warm and friendly. The place is very clean and simple tucked in the River Park shopping center.

Real Italian dining! Met the owner's daughter. She broke down the history of this place while I was waiting for my order. Extremely nice, real customer service! She suggested I get some Italian bread to go with the dishes we ordered as we took a tray back to San Jose I declined because we had just bought a bunch of pastries so I was thinking I'd had enough carb overload today. I regret not getting the bread to go because everything we ordered was amazing! The best gnocchi and ravioli I've had. I'm big on Italian food and really picky about the sauce and flavors, how the pasta is cooked. It was our first time trying malfati and I have to say 10 out of 10. Everything was 10/10

    Spaghetti

First time trying Clemente's, I'm beyond impressed. The spaghetti is phenomenal. True comfort food, real food, and authentic. The service here is amazing as well, Joanne is so sweet and welcoming. I appreciate the service and food. Super clean inside as well. Thank you!!

Ask the Community - Clementes Authentic Italian

My family has been ordering malfatti's from Clemente's ever since I can remember, but now we can't figure out where they are located anymore. Have they moved to the outlets? Where can we purchase Clemente's from now?

They are now at the Riverpark shopping center on Imola

She was attentive, friendly, and funny. And she knew exactly when to step in and offer great suggestions. The server assistants were also top-notch, stepping in frequently to refill our waters and offering to get us to-go bags when we finished our meal. The stellar service made the evening unforgettable and super-special. The food was also outstanding. I had the pork cutlet with capers and butter -- absolutely delicious! The cutlet was thin with a wonderfully crispy exterior and soft, buttery interior. The sauce on top didn't overwhelm the meat. The portion was so huge I enjoyed leftovers for lunch the next day. Other members of our party got the seafood and meat pastas (universally praised for freshness and perfectly cooked pasta). The appetizers were standouts as well, including the lightly fried olives with anchovies (a real surprise since the anchovies were mellowed by the cooking process but kept their savory deliciousness). The chop salad was also a revelation. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience. We will gladly return to Scala when we are back in Napa!

Everyone was super friendly and welcoming :) The interior was what you'd expect for a nice Italian restaurant. Cozy and clean! Good, strong drink. Clearly freshly made with quality ingredients. I'd definitely recommend ordering that! The price... well, it's not cheap. But, you're in Napa and it's a nice restaurant. It definitely has old world Italian charm with wine bottles hanging from the ceiling and dimly lit decor. We were there for a late afternoon lunch. Delicious without being drowned. The soup was hearty and well seasoned. My wife loved it so much we ordered a quart to go. That is saying a lot as she is not a huge fan of Italian cuisine. Now, I am kind of a pizza snob so, my expectations weren't that high. Wow! Was I wrong! The crust was crisp with a soft center. The sauce was perfect, not too much or too little, just right. It was a delicious pie. The perfect ratio between toppings, sauce and a crust that doesn't flop. Service was fast and friendly. If you are in Napa and looking for a really good meal that won't max out your credit card, this is the place. Oxbow is a neat place to visit, but the prices are in my opinion, extremely high. Try this place for reasonable, affordable and delicious Italian food.
