Let's play the game "Never Ever"... never ever will I eat at Ciccio's. Why you ask? The absolute inflexibility of the chefs. Because of food allergies and intolerances I asked for a pepperoni and mushroom pizza without black garlic or hot sauce but answer was no. You can get a mushroom pizza or a pepperoni pizza but each had things I can't eat. I asked if it was a matter of "can't" or "won't" and was told won't. So we left. I feel deeply sorry for the server put in that position and was certainly empathetic. Great news are there so many other great choices in Yountville including pizza places.

We signed up for the ' Chefs that are really Italian' special event at Ciccio's. The grabbed the only option left of exterior seating , in an enclosed porch area, with heat lamps - this was fine as we had dressed appropriately. The special event was presented as a very cost-effective way to enjoy numerous tastes, including their famous pizza. The area in downtown Yountville can be challenging for parking, but we were fortunate enough to find a spot in the area. We were pleasantly greeted and Our group of three proceeded for our early seating. The event included six courses that began with some of their special house marinated olives, which were excellent. Many of the courses were served family style, but not necessarily appropriately portioned, (some less, some more ) for three people. It became apparent that servers were repeatedly bringing out the wrong dishes for our table of three. The restaurant has a nice wine list, as well as limited options options for beer and soft drinks. Unfortunately, our first round of drinks was incorrect and getting forgotten coffees at the end of the meal was a challenge. In addition to portion sizing, the timing of courses was definitely off as we began receiving hot dishes before we finish the previous course, and at one point, an entire course had been skipped - oops ! Special request add-ons were overlooked, and then arrived late, making for a very bumpy dining experience. Generally, our servers did not seem to be very familiar with the menu to the point that they didn't recognize what was missing, both on the special options, as well as the general content of the menu itself. Hot food was coming out and getting cold before we could even finish the previous course. A somewhat frustrating experience having requested several times to the staff to appropriately pace the food. Overall, the food quality and flavors were very good (four stars) and it was unfortunate that service had to distract from the overall experience. Experience was not on par with the value, even with event pricing.

Strawberries and Mascarpone, with Balsamic Glaze. The basil came after the photo was taken.

I have never had a better flavor explosion than I did when I ate here last weekend. And guess what, we came back this weekend for more! The service from the jump was great. They were attentive, sweet and not over the top. Just a good amount of "top". It's a cozy open dining room, definitely a tight squeeze, so if you do any shopping drop it off at your Air B&B or in your car first. The smells, the flavors, the spices... THE BREAD! From pizza crust to Focaccia. I asked a lot of food questions while I was here, and it turns out the sourdough starter the chef uses... that baby is 16 yrs of TLC. And can I brag about the Caesar salad. I have never had a Caesar that has tasted so fresh, so crisp so delicious in my life. Every level of freshness hits your palate in layers and worth every bite. Okay, now our dessert: The Mascarpone with Macerated strawberries, drizzled with Balsamic. OH SH!T! Simple, elegant, Heavenly. Although, I may have insulted the chef. Even though this precious, delicate cup of heaven was perfect just the way it's made, but I wanted a twist. So I asked for fresh basil. With confusion in their eyes and much hesitation, they let me have it. I chopped it up and sprinkled it all over and it was DeVine! If you have here, even for a day, do not leave without trying Ciccio's, take it to go if you have to (it will not taste the same as fresh) but just as amazing. Hi Chef, I am back this weekend (12/23/25 to 12/28/25), if you hear that a crazy woman is asking for basil, I am doing so without offense. I just really love basil, so much I gave my dog the name! Salute.

We were craving pizza and our concierge, Maria, at Harvest Inn where we were staying recommended we come here! And I am so happy she did, it hit the spot! We started off sharing pesto pasta, it was a special not on the regular menu, and was amazing!! We finished it all. For our main dish we shared the pepperoni and clam pizza. They were both really good, but the pepperoni pizza was out of this world! I'm still craving it weeks later lol. Laura was our waitress and she was adorable! Not only was she super attentive, but had the best personality... she was infectious! We loved her and she made our experience 10x better! We will be back for more pizza!

Was recommended Ciccio the last time I was in Yountville. And after my dog sitting gig in Napa & a quick trip to St. Helena we decided on the way back to eat at Ciccio, yes, on a busy after Christmas evening. The signage is small but I guess the building used to be a market because outside in large print is, Market & a small signage of Ciccio. It was dark so not as easy to find even w/GPS, but it's on the Main Street. I enjoy sitting at the bar and we arrived just in time with no reservations & as one couple was finishing up at the 6 seat bar we got their seats. Perfect timing. The reception at the front was very welcoming and attentive. We sat and perused the menu and decided on a bottle of Italian region wine. Wines are not a bargain here but this was least expensive and I like a good Italian wine & it was. Went perfect with our radicchio salad my only complaint is to use less red wine vinegar and more olive oil and tear the pieces into smaller pieces. Too much vinegar to olive oil ratio makes for an easy choking episode and I will add let the vinegar sit on the chicory at bit longer to soften the radicchio some. Heck I would reinvent that salad. A quick sauté of the radicchio so it's a bit charred, then olive oil then a little balsamic vinegar, pears on top. Done. Ok, ok it's not my restaurant. Next was the tomato Pizza with creamy fresh dollops of burrata, fresh oregano & garlic, it was perfection, the crust and vision my only comment would be to make sure the burrata is just a bit warmer. Not put on cold to the warm perfectly crusty pizza. Since we had some red wine left we decided on the chocolate ricotta dessert, it was a dense slice of cake. A chocolate yummy perfection. No complaint here. Ciccio is a lively fun place, it's not a large restaurant but it's full of diners and staff, Jessica the mixologist and her sidekick Danny were whirling around like dervishes, making cocktails on the fly, opening bottles of wine, smiling, entertaining and serving us at the bar and the tables in the restaurant. So much great energy and glad we stopped by.

such a cute little restaurant in yountville! we were very surprised at how busy it was on a random thursday night, so i definitely recommend making reservations before coming in! me and my husband decided to order from their restaurant week menu and we were not disappointed. we ended up ordering the chopped salad, the focaccia and stuffed peppers for appetizers, mezze rigatoni for our pasta, the mushroom pizza, and we chose the vanilla gelato for pine nut oil for dessert! the salad and starters were SO good! honestly the perfect portion between two people. i'm a bread girly and the focaccia was literally so fresh n yummy. the peppers were also delicious, but be warned they are spicy as it's chili peppers and not bell peppers like i thought LOL my husband and i both chose the rigatoni for our dessert and that was probably my favorite thing from the night, but i do love a white sauce pasta hehe... we were both a little disappointed with the pizza. it was okay, but we both thought it was kind of bland and couldn't really taste the mushrooms! overall, the food was great and the staff was amazing (especially the general manager who was walking around and helping everyone out all night)!

Very cute spot and they get busy quick! We went for an early dinner around 5:30 after wine tasting because Ciccio was a recommendation from one of the sommeliers at the winery. At 5:30 it was already half packed. They have a small parking lot next to their restaurant so we parked on the street about a block away by the park. We got the agnolotti pasta (which is their prawn stuffed pasta) and the sausage pizza. It was our first time having agnolotti pasta and it was okay but probably would not get again because portion size was a bit small for the price and it didn't wow us. The sausage pizza was good with the fresh vegetables. Crust was well made. Quick and friendly service and the vibe is casual but also fitting for a date night.

Gigi was such a fantastic, knowledgeable, and fun server. We told her to surprise us and she was super fun to play along! We loved our experience and time here. Tbh, I thought it was just a whatever, Italian food. I love Italian so it didn't matter where we go The kicker is the fresh ingredients you could taste with each single bite, the complexity with sweet, acidity, spice, all perfectly blended. Super fantastic job ciccio

We had dinner while staying in Yountville for a few days. We tried it a couple of years ago and it still very good! Service was excellent and the waiter was nice, although a bit pushy with the specials. A little off putting. We ordered the special steak, pesto fusilli, special risotto. All delicious! We started with the Cesar's salad and had the braised cabbage as a side. We finished off with gelato and the ricotta chocolate cake. The place is open and very homey. Bravo to the chef!

Great service, nice ambiance, and stellar location. The tomato pizza was fantastic although it was a lot of food. Would recommend anyone eat here who likes to explore good food.

Visited Ciccio for dinner service on a slower Sunday evening. This is a Michelin Bib restaurant located in downtown Yountville. The inside was very quaint and homey, staff greeted us immediately, & server was attentive and kind. We were given complimentary glasses of sparkling wine to celebrate. While they are known for their pizzas, we decided to share two pastas and bread. The focaccia was delicious but pastas were lacking in depth of flavor. The noodles were borderline undercooked, there wasn't enough bolognese sauce, and was rather one note overall. With this, everything did taste very fresh! We could not have nicer things to say about service but note was to stick to ordering pizzas in the future.

This place is dangerously good. If I could live here, I would! Small place in high demand, so get your reservation in early. We ended up sitting at the bar, where Ashlynn made fantastic recommendations (and drinks), and we all had an amazing culinary experience. The focaccia is perfect - crunchy exterior crust with a pillowy soft finish on the inside. It was so good we ended up ordering another. Our group also tried the braised & chilled octopus, which was delicious. Then came the cheesy gnudi with black truffle shavings added, as well as the rockfish with pumpkin Italiana polenta. Mmmm so good. We finished off our feast with a slice of the chocolate ricotta torta and a bowl of vanilla bean gelato topped with pine nut oil. The gelato was the chef's kiss. I wish I had room to eat more, but we were all stuffed to the brim as it was. For a moderate spend Michelin, you definitely get your money's worth here. Would absolutely return.

I'd recommend trying Ciccio for a nice meal out! I was able to call ahead for a reservation, and it was easy to get a table for two. The outside looks like it used to be an old market, but the inside has been nicely redone. We sat outside, and the service was friendly and helpful, especially with suggestions since it was our first time. My favorite dish was the meatball and peppers -- super fresh and flavorful. We also had the pepperoni pizza, pasta, and a seafood dish. Everything was great quality. I'd definitely come back!

Instead of going to our usual spot (Mustard's Grill), we took a chance at trying this restaurant since we were staying at the hotel. We were on a roll with the appetizers and complimentary cocktail that hotel guests get at the restaurant. The wood-fired charred octopus was perfect--super tender, crispy ends, perfectly cooked--by far my favorite dish at dinner. We also really enjoyed the sourdough bread and butter; crispy edges, soft center, and wonderful flavor. Then came the entrees. I had to try their NY strip, and my husband threw a curveball last minute and went with the duck. I don't know how he knew but he ordered right... My steak looked more like tenderloins, and as soon as it came out, I could see the overcooked, dry edges. About a quarter on each side of both steaks were well done and tough to chew. On top of that, the mushroom sauce and potatoes were super salty. I let the waiter know, and he asked me if I wanted a new one, but even if they made me a new one, I just didn't like the rest of the dish...so I declined. For an $81 entree, I think it should be damn good and properly prepared. Especially with the chance we took from our tried and true restaurant of choice. For dessert, we ended with the budino. It was strong on the caramel flavor, had a nice creamy texture, but I wished we were having the pork chops and lemon meringue pie at MG. Would rather the apps have been bad and the entree + dessert be the showstoppers. What makes it worse is we were 1 of 3 groups there; they weren't busy at all. At least I know now...

In both appetizers, the sauce was phenomenal and elevated the dish! For the entree, I had their vermilion rockfish. The fish was perfectly cooked and once again, the laksa broth gave the dish that extra satisfying flavor profile. For dessert, their tiramisu and butterscotch budino capped a fantastic dining experience. Chef Thomas Keller is known for precision, discipline, and an almost obsessive attention to detail. His style is refined, technical, and rooted in classic French technique, elevated with modern creativity. Every course reflects that philosophy, clean flavors, flawless execution, and zero shortcuts. The restaurant holds three Michelin stars, the highest distinction, and has been considered one of the best restaurants in the world for many years. We secured a reservation for four at 7:00 PM, which in itself feels like an achievement. There are not many tables for two, so getting a reservation for a pair is extremely difficult. The best approach is to try for a reservation of four or more for the main dining room. Larger groups may find private dining easier to book. The evening runs long, over four hours. It is not rushed at all. By around the sixth course, I was already full, but the progression keeps you engaged. Each dish is small but rich, layered, and intentional. They add additional complimentary courses to the experience! The experience starts in the waiting area inside the restaurant with a welcome toast. Once seated, you are given personalized menus, which adds a thoughtful touch. At the end, they send you home with custom cookies and a chocolate bar, small details that reinforce the experience. For my birthday, they went further, surprising me with a bottle of sparkling wine engraved with my name. That level of personalization felt genuine. Logistics were straightforward. Parking was easy, we parked across the street. The dinner was prepaid through Tock, which simplifies the process. There are also optional add ons to the tasting menu, like truffle mac and cheese and wagyu beef. Tip is already included and you can add additional tip if you desire! They are also flexible with dietary needs, one person in our group was vegetarian, and the kitchen accommodated seamlessly without compromising quality. Overall, it is one of the best dining experiences of my life and I will definitely go back again. I would choose an earlier reservation next time so dinner does not run so late into the night. As basic as this dish can be -- everything was fresh, crisp, cold, and the sesame miso black garlic dipping sauce was wonderful. We also grabbed the tuna tartare and I had the soup du jour which was a divine garlic & parmesan soup. The soup was excellent -- perfect amount of garlic without being overpowering, really well-balanced and smooth, and the parmesan added the perfect little bite. For entrees, my wife and youngest split the chicken parmesan sandwich, my 15 year old went with the filet mignon with asparagus and mac n' cheese, and I did the seabass (duh) with coconut rice and a lobster hot & sour broth. The chicken parmesan was "good" -- nothing special according to the ladies, but the truffle fries made them quite happy. The filet was "excellent" -- perfectly cooked, a nice mushroom cream sauce, and the veggies and mac n' cheese were tasty. My dish was the highlight -- seabass perfectly cooked, rice was great, and the lobster broth was exceptional. I basically licked the plate. We were totally full for our "light" lunch -- but had to dive in on the desserts based on how good everything was. The GF Chocolate torte was unreal -- SO RICH -- we only ate 1/2 of it between the 4 of us -- but was great. The rice pudding got a "solid" score from the ladies and the cheesecake was awesome. It was really a great meal -- good bar scene -- will definitely work it into our rotation going forward.

My least favorite was the vanilla rum. It felt pretty basic and not very vanilla tasting. Earl grey and pistachio were some of our favorites from the box! I love that the box came with a picture map of the chocolates so you knew which one was which. Each one was beautifully painted and it really made the box of chocolate as a gift feel special. This was a great place to stop to pick up a sweet treat!
