DO NOT BUY FROM THIS "DEALERSHIP". I hesitate to even write this review, as I have not written a bad review on a company in years because I hate doing it. However, in this circumstance, I believe it is absolutely necessary to do so. My husband and I were looking to get away from the typical "car salesman/dealership" and found ClearShift after reading reviews and in short, proceeded to buy a nearly $30K 2017 Jeep Cherokee there a little over 1 month ago. We worked with Ed, the head salesman, and at first had a very positive experience. They were super nice and basically told you everything you wanted to hear. They pride themselves on not being a typical dealership, proclaiming their "honest way of business", refusing to negotiate a penny, etc. Their staff member who buys the cars & prices them, even came out and told us he was considering on trading in his Jeep for the one we were buying. We told him we wanted to take the Jeep to our family mechanic & he told us "we really didn't need to" (implying it was in great shape) but let us do it. Yes, our mechanic said the Jeep checked out (looking at big ticket items as they usually do during that sort of appointment). Fast forward to today with the Jeep still around 30k miles & zero accidents, we have spent a combined $1500 on the Jeep and it has been in the mechanic on two separate occasions (water pipe, exhaust, oil, & beyond). We are still waiting to find out the latest as it is at the mechanic AGAIN as I type this! We decided to call Ed directly and respectfully tell him what our experience has been and give him the same courtesy we would want to have been given if it were our business, and asked if they wanted to make it right prior to leaving a bad review. His response was that he "could have never have known" about all of this, shifting blame to our long time family mechanic & that they will not do anything. We are so disappointed in the car, but even more disappointed in the abhorrent customer service, after being led to believe they conducted honest business. They have proven that they will say whatever they need to to get you to purchase one of their cars, even fooling you into thinking they are not one of the "typical used car salesman", when in fact they are WORSE. This business takes pride in not being a typical dealership with consistent one liners of "we don't play that game" as a response to common questions, including why they left us with less than 1/4 tank of gas before we took it off the lot. It turns out, they didn't even change the oil either. Using humor & "charm" to avoid questions, and give you dishonest answers to others, it is so unfortunate to have been fooled by this team of salesman and company as a whole. AVOID the same mistakes we made. I NEVER thought I would say this, but do yourself a favor, and stick with the traditional car lots. SO unbelievably disappointed in every way. read more

Purchased a truck from Clear Shift. Bought it when it was bad weather so I wasn't able to fully see everything on the car. Soon enough I realized that it was a total rust bucket. Dealerships look over cars very well when taking them in or buying at auctions, so I 100% guarantee they knew about how bad the body rust was. This was not disclosed by any means, they sold it to me knowing that I would be completely screwed. Obviously that means they are not upfront with disclosures or honest. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I read reviews on both Yelp and Google and frankly I am very shocked at the negative reviews on this company. My husband and I were looking for an F-150 with certain specifications for towing. We reviewed what they had online and scheduled an appointment to look at the vehicles. The appointment was on Saturday which is one of their busiest days. My husband was working and I was a little apprehensive about going myself. The minute I walks through the door, I felt an ease with everyone who greeted me. The appointment was with Rob and I was early. Jesse greeted me and showed me the truck we were specifically interested in, but also showed me some other vehicles we had seen. At no time was I pressured. All my questions were answered. I went on a test drive by myself. The following Monday we met with Rob and proceeded with the purchase of the truck. The paperwork took us 45 minutes. There were some maintenance findings they wanted to take care of before we took the truck. BEWARE!!! I looked at a 2015 truck and it was a good price for the truck but then I looked underneath it. It was so rusted and I asked Ed the salesman about it and he acted like he didn't have any idea about the rust and just played it off like he doesn't understand why it was so rusted. I just wanted to warn everybody out there that their vehicles come from Canada and Canada puts different chemicals on their roads and in combination with the really harsh weather their vehicles rust very quickly and very badly. I was told the reason some dealerships buy from Canada is because of the exchange rate saves them tens of thousands of dollars on these trucks so if I were you I would just stay away from this place go to a reputable dealership like AutoNation and in the long run you're going to be happier and save yourself a lot of money. read more

I would just like to warn anyone looking to purchase a vehicle from this auto dealer. I purchased a 6 seat, pickup truck to get my wife, two infants, and two pre-teens safely and comfortably around. Aaron, the sales rep, provided me a multipoint inspection checklist that Autonation Ford did for them on the vehicle I purchased from them. The checklist was checked green for every inspection point performed on the vehicle (coolant leaks, oil leaks, suspension components, etc...). I took a quick peek under the vehicle and found that it was leaking a red-ish/pink-ish fluid. They assured me it was just residual from having had the fluids topped off. I know my way around cars enough to identify an active leak. Didn't seem right so I took a quick peek under the vehicle to find antifreeze actively dripping as well as the under side of the vehicle covered in oil. Their "sales manager" (bald guy in his 30s) came out to speak with me and assured me it was nothing to worry about. He looked under the vehicle and notice it was in fact an active leak. They took it back to Autonation Ford to have it looked at again and said they would get in touch with me the following day (I was interested in the truck and wanted to know more about it in the event that I purchased it). I called Autonation Ford personally the following morning to find out about the leak/s. They had no record of the vehicle having been checked in for diagnosis. The only record they had was for the oil change ClearShift paid for, prior to posting the truck for sale. I requested to speak with their service manager to I inquire about the truck, and why they had no record of it being there for fluid leak diagnosis. He advised me that they did see the truck, but that they found nothing wrong with it. Aaron, The Clearshift sales rep, contacted me within a minute or two of me speaking with the Autonation service manager. He advised me that they personally know a technician at the Autonation Ford dealer/service center that works on ClearShift's Ford vehicles and that the water pump was replaced by this technician. I found the new water pump under the hood, but no signs of oil that was leaking. He advised me they tightened the oil filter housing and that the leak stopped. I purchased the vehicle, assuming they fixed the issues. Just a short time after my purchase, my Ford F-150 I purchased from ClearShift smells like burning oil in the cabin, and is in need of a transmission and front differential, both adding up to $5,000 in just labor, no parts included in the $5000 repair estimate I received from Phil Long Ford of Denver. They found the underside of the engine is again, covered in oil. Clearly, Autonation washed off as much of the oil as possible to make it look as if it's not leaking. I would not recommend ClearShift Cars to anyone. Clearly, they have technicians and their managers in their pocket, checking everything off in green to achieve a quick sale. Not a good way to do business. Very deceiving. I will be contacting the BBB in regards to this matter as well as anyone else that can aid in finding justice for my family. read more

I KNOW ITS LONG BUT IF YOUR SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING SOMETHING HERE JUST READ IT!! Also this is not a real dealership. It's an office building and vehicles are kept at a different location. Well I was a returning customer and was hoping to work with the same sales person I worked with before but turns out he had left. So I decided to still give these guys a shot. My experience from the first time to this time was day and night. They don't do anything the same way.......I started out working with Patrick that was prompt and very responsive via email I made an apt and went down to check out a vehicle. However the only time they had was at 4pm on a Friday worst test drive ever ...top speed was like 8mph .......Somehow Patrick pawned me off on this guy named Chris. Chris was your typical pushy salemen and very unintelligent about the vehicles and financing. I wasn't sold on the vehicle I had originally chose and he insisted and pushed that I stick with the same vehicle. I asked to see other vehicles and he just out right refused to show me other vehicles....I felt Clearshift was just too lazy to run the numbers and show me other options. I slept on it for night am asked to come back the next day. I let them know I was running late (I live over an hour away) I was only 10-15 minutes late and some lady calls and said there booked for the afternoon and I would need to reschedule for Monday. I went done the street to John Elway Chevrolet and bought a nicer, newer truck with less miles for the same price. John Elway Chevrolet was also 3.5% cheaper interest rate. Clearshift refused to show me my credit score which is against the law but insisted 8% was the best they could do. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE LISTED ANYWHERE BUT HERE! Thank you Chris for destroying my Clearshift experience. And to the lady who called me to reschedule please work on your customer service skills you are rude and lack basic communication skills! read more

After five months of problems with the used Jeep Grand Cherokee I purchased from ClearShift, I now strongly suspect I was deceived by the dealership about the history and condition of the vehicle. The endless problems I have experienced with my Jeep are the result of neglect and accidents, which were not disclosed to me by salesman Rob Wojcik, who assured me everything with the Jeep was perfectly fine. The problems began almost immediately with a cascade of electrical system failures, rendering the car virtually inoperable. Of course, I had declined the dealership's warranty, so ClearShift would have nothing to do with me. However, after a lengthy and expensive investigation by mechanics, I was told the electrical failures were caused by rodents having chewed up the vehicle's wiring, which almost certainly happened while the vehicle was sitting on ClearShift's lot over the winter. But that was not all. Later, when I went in for the next scheduled maintenance, I was told that no factory required maintenance (such as brake fluid flush, transmission flush, etc., etc.) had ever been preformed on the vehicle, leaving me with the high cost of the very-long-overdue maintenance. Even after that, expensive breakdowns continued to happen with suspiciously high frequency. Finally, during one of my many visits to the mechanic, an auto body specialist observed that most of the Jeep's body panels had been replaced, leading him to believe the car had been in a serious accident. Repairs had apparently been done to conceal the fact that an accident occurred, not to address any underlying issues resulting from the crash. There was no mention of an accident or missed maintenance in the vehicle's CarFax report. Still, by all accounts, the car seems to have been badly abused and was only superficially repaired, leaving major problems just out of sight from prospective buyers until it was too late. I find it impossible to believe that ClearShift did not know the true condition of the vehicle they were selling. Even if I were to give Rob the benefit of the doubt and assume he was genuinely unaware of the disastrous state of the vehicle, I would have to fault him for the shocking degree of ignorance and ineptitude that would entail. Either way, I'm profoundly disappointed in my purchase from ClearShift and I would recommend any potential shoppers to look elsewhere. read more
