I just purchased a new (to me) vehicle from Carmax this week. I spent the last couple months doing…read moremy own research, then all of December in negotiations with Mike High Acura just to have the WORST experience and they sold the car from under me. The first car I bought was through Carmax and it lasted me 10 years with no problems and I was ready to go back to Carmax and upgrade to something a bit bigger, better in the snow and a more luxe driving experience. Munir helped me with my first couple test drives, made sure to ask me what I was looking for and for why so maybe he could bring some options to me. I had Munir then transfer a vehicle from a neighboring Carmax for a test drive (that I was 90% sure I was going to love and purchase). This transferred vehicle only took two days to ship in and be ready for a test drive. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue working with Munir since he was not scheduled that day and Chris Sioros took over the last half of my shopping experience. Chris was fantastic and super attentive to any questions I had and even helped me arrange a Lyft from work to Carmax so I could finish my purchase and leave in the car. I absolutely love my new car and the helpful experience that Munir and Chris gave me. I'd say that the only small downside to my experience was that, I had come back from the test drive and was approached by a completely new employee (sales or management, I'm not sure) and was a bit aggressively questioning which choice I would make, stressing that I should purchase now and that they wouldn't hold the vehicle for me (3-5 standard holding time) and that the bank took 3-5 days to process so I was urged to finance through Carmax and then come back with a check. I was trying to explain that I had already communicated with my bank and that the funds would be available and I would be bringing a check but it felt like I was just being pressured to purchase the car and finance it so I "wouldn't lose the car". The whole point of me shopping at carmax was to NOT be pressured by an aggressive salesman when I know exactly what I'm looking for and for what price is in my budget. This employee almost ruined a sale for the salesmen that were fantastic in helping me because even though I wanted a new car, I didn't need it and I certainly didn't need to feel pressured into it when I'm spending $40k. All that to say, you catch more flies with honey and I don't need to be approached by anymore employees unless they were working with me directly. Anyways, my pick up last night was very easy. I did most of my paperwork online, final walk through and a few more signatures when I got there and handing the check over and I got the keys! THANK YOU CHRIS AND MUNIR for getting me in my new car!

Absurdly bad experience with this dealership. Make your own choice, but I will never go back…read more Bought a new '26 F150 Lariat through them via a broker, and added in a Sportliner bed rug, available from Ford Accessories. First, they charged $825, which is $200 more than most dealers. Then they mucked up the appointment time by an hour and a half, leading to 3 hours at the dealer for what is supposed to be a 30-60 minute job. They utterly butchered the install. They carpeted OVER the front bed hooks and Boxlink plates. They carpeted over the drainage tubes for tonneau cover, making them inaccessible. They carpeted over the tailagate, despite explicit and repeated instructions (including that day!) not to since the truck had a ProAccess tailgate that would be rendered unusable. They miscut the holes for the storage bin, bed lights and ProPower port and did not secure them, leading to gaping, misshapen holes, and room to stick your hand in behind the loose carpet. See pics for all of the above. After pointing this out, they refused to take responsibility. They claimed they "had" to carpet over the tailgate, and that they did not cut any holes...it arrived from Ford that way. Two other dealers looked at their work and said these rugs do not come precut, and they had never seen such shoddy work. (This is my third F150, and my third Sportliner...I know how they are supposed to look.). The only solution and end result: I paid a reputable dealer to rip out the ruined Sportliner and throw it away, bought a new one, and had it installed correctly at another dealership. It was done in an hour and for hundreds of dollars less. Caveat emptor.

Regarding those who deserve the bad rap: this week I had one so-so and one terrible experience with two dealerships. Old-school practices, dishonesty, bait-and-switch, being treated like a "little lady" who hadn't done her homework. I had thrown my hands up in disgust and decided not to buy a truck until several months later, after I'd gotten the bad taste out of my mouth :-( Enter Michael Malone, Maverick and Aaron at Alpine. These guys were heroes. They offered a great price on exactly the truck I wanted, they kept their word, they communicated regularly without being pushy/needy/creepy, and best of all, they treated me with respect. The feel of this dealerships is entirely different than the others: these folks act like family. They're human, not money-seeking vacuum cleaners. I felt both relaxed and energized by the experience. They proved that I could trust them. They took their time with me, but didn't make me wait hours to get the deal done. Even Anthony, the finance guy, was a gem. Alpine is the third-largest GMC seller in the country. This is impressive, and even more so when you realize their location doesn't front on a major arterial: they're kind of tucked away off of Wadsworth. What Alpine lacks in location it clearly makes up for in price and customer service. If you're looking for a GMC or Buick, do yourself a favor and visit Alpine, and ask for Maverick or Michael. You can thank me later :-)

Disappointing Experience with Alpine Buick GMC and Serious Questions About the Value of CarBravo…read moreCertification I purchased a 2024 Subaru Outback Premium from Alpine Buick GMC on October 3, 2026. The vehicle was advertised as CarBravo certified, a designation that should provide buyers with additional confidence in the vehicle they're purchasing. Unfortunately, my experience has left me questioning just how much confidence that certification deserves. Within two weeks of purchasing the vehicle, I encountered a problem with the driver's power window. When wet, the window would stop partway through closing and automatically reverse, leaving it unable to close properly. This is not merely a cosmetic inconvenience, particularly in Colorado, where having a window that reliably closes is a basic expectation. The vehicle has since required service for this issue. Additionally, the vehicle was delivered without an owner's manual and with a missing rear floor mat. These may seem like minor details individually, but when purchasing a vehicle advertised as certified, I expect greater attention to detail and preparation before delivery. I also purchased a prepaid maintenance plan as part of the transaction, adding to the overall amount I invested in this purchase. My concern is not that a used vehicle can develop mechanical problems. Of course it can. My concern is what a certification program is actually worth to the consumer if problems and missing items become apparent almost immediately after the sale. CarBravo certification is marketed as a reason to purchase with greater confidence. Consumers deserve to know precisely what has been inspected, what is covered, and what assistance they can realistically expect when problems arise. I purchased this vehicle expecting a professionally inspected, properly prepared used car backed by a recognizable certification program. Instead, I found myself dealing with a malfunctioning window and incomplete vehicle equipment almost immediately. I would strongly encourage prospective buyers to look beyond the CarBravo branding, request the complete inspection documentation, verify every aspect of the warranty in writing, and independently inspect the vehicle before purchasing. A certification badge is only as valuable as the standards and accountability behind it. Based on my experience thus far, I am deeply disappointed in the quality of the vehicle preparation and the confidence that Alpine Buick GMC's CarBravo certification was supposed to provide.

When I tried to cancel, after finding this out, they couldn't give me a full refund even though they had assured me I could go near where I lived to get my oil changed. Then they said they'd give me a discounted additional key fob to offset my partial refund on the service plan but even though the manager has now taken over my issue it's still taking forever to come in...you can't tell me it takes 6-8 weeks for a key fob... It stinks. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when they're deceptive to sell a service plan and then you're stuck.
