I called Rickenbaugh to inquire about a used Mazda3 and asked for a salesperson to talk to. My call went to (I don't remember whos) voicemail and I left a message with the feeling nobody was going to call me back. A half hour later I received a call from a salesperson asking me if I had got the information I needed about the car I was interested in, which I had not and asked them if I could come look at it. They were very friendly on the phone and told me to come on down to check it out. When I arrived they had the car nice and clean and parked right out in front. I met Dave Sloane who was extremely friendly and outgoing. We looked over the car and went for a test drive which was fun, it so happened that Dave and I shared the same sense of humor and I had a great time. I decided to buy the car and Dave told me there was no haggling, they price the cars the lowest they can and I was fine with that because it was a great deal in my humble opinion. There was none of the "shuffle me around to the finance guy" business, I spent the whole time in Daves office doing paperwork and cracking lame jokes which I think he got a kick out of. It took about four hours, but that was mostly due to my lack of planning. I had no proof of insurance for my current car so I had to call the insurance company to set everything up which took a while, and there was a lack of communication from my credit union which was annoying but none of this was the dealerships fault. Dave was very patient and was happy to look up all the phone numbers and things I needed while I was on the phone. Overall a 11/10 experience and I would absolutely recommend Rickenbaugh to anyone looking for a car and very positively recommend asking for Dave Sloane. Buyer Beware I will never shop at this place again. I bought a used car from them a few years back. I knew it was a used car so it would require some work. Luckily I saved myself $800 right off the top by having a mechanic examine the car before purchase. There was an oil leak. Rickenbaugh told me it must have been missed. Then after owning the car for only 2 weeks, I could feel the strut rattling a bit. When I took it to a different repair shop they said they struts needed to be redone. The mechanic then proceeded to show me how the front strut had been bungee corded in place to prevent it from rattling as much. When I went back to Rickenbaugh they of course said they knew nothing about it and then proceeded to tell me that they could not service the car because it was not a Cadillac or Volvo. I warn everyone to avoid this place like the plague. If you want to get taken to cleaners then by all means enjoy. This place is the worst car dealership I have ever dealt with. Pathetic! Found a used XC70 and went in to check it out. Made an offer that was agreed to and I was due to pick the car up in the morning. For the sake of safety, I asked them to please check the wear on the rotors and let me know if they needed to be replaced (I didn't ask for a lower price if they did). Call @10am the next morning to pick up and they tell me the car is SOLD! Some lady walked in and paid full price (I talked them down). I must be living on a different planet than the other reviewers on this site! Admittedly this is an "old" downtown dealership with the resulting limits on what they can do with their facility. It's also consistently well lit and clean. My experience with Rickenbaugh has been uniformly professional and satisfying. I've purchased two new cars and had all the normal interactions with sales, financing and service. Joe in service is as knowledgeable and reliable as any service person I've ever met. Plus, you can tell he's totally supported by the organization. I especially appreciate the always free rental car even when my car is only there for 4 hours. And for those who "dis" the CTS, do a "value for money" comparison. I think the car stands up well to its competitors for $12-15,000 less. read more

I have two separate concerns. First - I have been trying to schedule an appointment with the body shop to get my Chevy Tahoe hail damage fixed. I have called and spoken to people with the Rickenbaugh body shop no fewer than five times. Every time they say they will call me back. I have never received a call back. Second - I have taken the same vehicle into the service center, paid hundreds of dollars getting the vehicle services to find out they didn't change a filter they charged me for or something similar. When I have tried to talk to someone to get this addressed they continue to punt the problem to someone else. Terrible customer service and unreliable. I wish they would try harder but it's clear they don't care. read more

So I was in getting my 55K Volvo in for service and I went over to look at the new Cadillac CTS V and the Wagon because it is time for me to buy a new car. (I buy one every three years.) I've never had a problem on the Volvo side of RIckenbaugh, in fact Dwight Davis in Service is the best service person I have ever had from any company! Five Solid Stars for Rickenbaugh Volvo. Anyway, I go into Cadillac looking for a CTS V and somewhat a CTS Wagon. After about four minutes of looking around a somewhat young salesman came up to me and asked if I had any questions. I told him that I am interested in a CTS V, S80 R, M3, or a C63. He did not acknowledge that he even knew what those cars were. I told him I have some concerns with the build quality of this 60k automobile. Looking a little miffed, he asked me what I meant. I told him that the car has a lot of plastic, especially in the center console and dash, not to mention the car seat literally rocks. (If a car seat rocks a few centimeters right out of the factory, what other bolts are not tightened down in the car.) (I also noticed the typical GM bureaucratic part sharing with things like a hands free fob. However you still had to turn a knob meant to go where the key went for the ignition. In addition the car had non electric headrest with serious play in it. I don't know what to tell you, I came in after Bob Lutz "May the Best Car Win" marketing competition with the CTS V as a "world beater." ) I know a lot about cars, i subscribe to 4 car magazines, read autoblog.com and fastlanedaily.com four times a week, and watch Top Gear religiously. All of these sources suggest that American cars don't compare to European cars. They all say sit in the car and look at the build quality. Push on the passenger door sheet metal with two fingers and see how much it moves. I have to say they are right because I sat in a M3 and C63. I did all the same tests and the Cadillac feels like a car that should have a sticker 15K less. The Cadillac may have a good engine and suspension but unlike the European cars, everything else is far worse on the Cadillac. Anyway, the salesman became very snide and offended. He said, "It's clear you don't like what we have to offer." Then he walked off riled. I do marketing for a living and the salesman should have at least tried to be suave. He could have tried to up-sell me into another model because if I'm looking at a 60 - 70k car at 33. It is clear that I can clearly afford anything on their lot. Maybe there is a more expensive car that has better build quality. At very least he could say, "Check us back in a few years or come back in a year and look at the CTS V Coupe, it's supposed to be outstanding." Personally, it amazes me that that you walk into a premium American show room after 2 nightmare years for the American auto industry and they still don't get it. They still act like it's 1975. They are going to build a non-competitive product and you, the consumer, are going to buy it with a smile. read more

Bought a new Caddie at Rickenbaugh this last week (from Peter D.) and have nothing but great things to say about the car, the dealership, and the sales process. Aggressive prices, fair money on my trade, a clean deal in the finance office and off I go in my new car. I will recommend them to anyone who will ask as I feel they really break the car buying stereotype of shady deals. They may not have the fanciest new building in best neighborhood, but they are a Denver mainstay and can be trusted. I look forward to working with them all again. read more

Not pleased with Infiniti service at Rickenbaugh Infiniti I had a problem with the service department at Rickenbaugh Infiniti. My 2009 G37X died on me on Monday night and the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. These occurred simultaneously. I was able to pull over, restart the car and drive home; however, the check engine light remained lit. I had the vehicle towed to Rickenbaugh Inifiniti after it was discovered the DTC P0605 fault was tripped. In my first discussion with them, they denied that the ECM had an 8 yr/80,000 mile warranty. I had to perform research to determine that there was indeed an 8 yr/80,000 mile warranty and had to educate them on this. Once the car was there, they claimed the ASCD brake switch caused the P0605 fault. However, they said the ASCD brake switch would not have caused the engine stall I encountered. They said a dirty mass air flow sensor can cause an engine stall, but that it would not have caused the P0605 fault. Thus, they had no explanation for why the engine stalled simultaneously with the P0605 fault. Furthermore, they seemed more interested in upselling than in resolving the engine stall issue. They recommended changing fluids, replacing wiper blades, replacing filters, etc. In the meantime, they seemed content to write off the engine stall and ECM fault as a one time failure. All in all, I was not impressed with the Service Department at Rickenbaugh Infiniti, would not recommend them and I will not be return. read more

DO NOT get your car serviced or repaired at Richenbaugh, I was referred to this repair shop by MetLife after an accidents as one of their preferred mechanics, and have had an incredibly awful experience with their auto repair team. After 2 weeks in the shop, we were returned a car with a bent steering rod that was super dangerous to drive. The clutch is also barely working after being damaged in the accident, and their mechanics claim that there's nothing wrong with it. No calls have been returned when they are promised, no accountability. I'm now having to take the car to a second repair shop to be fixed, since Richenbaugh can't get it right. In addition, when I called MetLife to complain about their recommendation, they told me that Richenbaugh Collision has been REMOVED from their list of recommended shops because of a high number of complaints from customers. Don't waste your time here. You will wait weeks for your car, staff will not communicate well, and your car won't work when you get it. read more

I own a 2006 Cadillac CTS and it is one of my favorite passions in my life. I drove it from California to Denver when I moved with no issues, but I knew the day would come when I had to choose a place to have it serviced. You see I have very unpractical wheels for Denver, 22inch with low profile tires to be exact. As awesome as they look they tend to go flat a lot. While walking out to my car the other day my fears came true when I noticed I had 2 flat tires, but the worst was when I went to start the car it wouldn't turn over. I called AAA to help me out and we almost got the started but didn't succeed. I decided to have the car towed over and give this place a shot. I filled out a service request online and was able to get the car dropped off on a Saturday. Steve quickly gave me a call explaining that he had a skeleton crew working and that he would get to it first thing Monday, he apologized for not being able to provide me with transportation but i lived downtown so I didn't need it anyway. I explained the issues and he said he would try to find me some wheels I can purchase for use in the winter time (this was music to my ears). Monday comes around and I get a call from Steve, he explained that I lost compression in my cylinders from not starting up my car for while (it was 2 weeks) and this happeneds in cold climates. He was able to get my car started up and wanted to keep it an extra day to just be sure this was the only issue. Come Tuesday the car is ready and it was NO COST! I also noticed that he filled up all of my tires, cleaned the car, checked the check engine light, and reset my computer. This was AMAZING, I am still blown away at the level of service. Rickenbaugh Cadillac will always have my service and my highest recommendation. read more

I took car in for 22,500 service. Everything went well and Walter called early afternoon to let me know service was done. I thought I would get down there earlier, but had issues at work and couldn't leave when I thought. Bottom line I got there after closing, however, they offered to close out my account over the phone and leave the car outside and arranged for the courtesy vehicle to be left in the lot as well. Even though I got there shortly after closing time, that was a huge relief and avoided me coming down the next day. Thank you. read more

Horribly unprofessional service on the used car sales side. I test drove a cadillac escalade last week and was appalled how arrogant the sales person was AND how unprofessional things were handled. Although the sales guy was nice enough, he was very poorly informed about the vehicles and went on and on about his personal life during our test drive. I completely understand not knowing the ins and outs of all the cars on the lot when dealing with used cars but at a cadillac dealership, a sales person should know the gas mileage of an Escalade hybrid versus non for a Cadillac vehicle. Don't you think? I made the mistake of parking my car on the new cadillac side, which resulted in me needing to bring it around for them to take a look at it for trade in value and the guy had the nerve to say if I wanted something to drink, i should grab it from the fridge over there on my way out. NOT WHAT SOMEONE WANTS TO HEAR WHEN THEY ARE MAKING A LUXURY CAR PURCHASE OF $40K and $50K+. With that being said, I had a very nice experience with the gentleman on the new side, that escorted me personally to the used lot then introduced me to the sales person. As we approached two men on the used lot, one of which was smoking a cigarette, only one greeted me and the other walked away. As it turns out, the other was a manager. I left that dealership feeling as if I was annoying them by coming in to look at the car. And I also had a feeling that they thought I couldn't afford it and/or was wasting their time. I'm pleased to say we went all the way to Dellenbach Cadillac in Ft. Collins to make our purchase of an Escalde Hybrid which ended up more than Rickenbaughs asking price but a night and day difference. I would never go back to this dealership again, EVER. read more
