Excellent pest control service My wife and I have been using Clear Defense for a couple years now for my pest control needs and they've been excellent. Very professional and very prompt. I first reached out to Clear Defense during the midst of summer one year since we kept seeing the occasional roach or ants coming into the house. I called them up,  and scheduled our first spray. They've been coming quarterly ever since to spray the house exterior and occasionally respray an interior space for touch ups. We've also added their mosquito spray since we were eating outside and distanced with friends in the warmer months and wanted to minimize the mosquitos during the summer and fall. My wife and I have enjoyed having a pest free household thanks to Clear Defense. Their techs have always been friendly and easy to work with if you need to reschedule your sprayings. Our recent techs Jonny and Bretty were very nice and very detailed in their follow up emails about what they did during their quarterly visits. One of the best little details are the follow up emails the techs send out following each visit to let you know what they did, what pest control methods they used and any possible problem areas to keep track of. We also use Clear Defense at my office as well and they've been wonderful about coming in on weekends too so to avoid the days when clients will be there. My service technician Cameron was attentive and listened to what I had to say, the addressed the issue. He pointed out a place that needs to be filled or caulked to keep creepy crawlers out. In searching for a new pest/termite service after being let down by Triangle Pest Control, I stumbled across many good reviews about ClearDefense Pest Control. I'm an obsessive researcher & reviewer, and their reviews are glowing across their 4 locations (Raleigh/Durham, Charlotte, Greenville, & Knoxville). They're a locally owned & pride themselves on honesty & integrity with pet-friendly products that prevent rodents/bugs from entering your home. John-Mark called & emailed back really quickly (given it's Thanksgiving week & a couple other companies still haven't responded!). He was so personable & knowledgeable about the products they use, the type of service they provide, what to expect, and the mission/values in their company. I decided to set up an appointment & he was able to come out the next morning (today) for the initial service! He started with an introduction of what he'd do during the initial service & how their goal is to completely prevent bugs/rodents from wanting to enter the house (rather than reactively treating inside each quarter). He used boot covers inside the house & did a full spray both upstairs & downstairs, and then he covered the outside perimeter with spray & pellets. He used a dust spray in each crevice that looked like a potential entry point, and he even helped seal up 2 crawlspace vents to prevent entry! The initial service took ~1.5-2hrs, which was the most thorough I've EVER had from a pest company. The termite inspection & prevention service is scheduled for next Thursday & I'm excited to get that started with them too. The first quarterly treatment will begin in December, and they'll do another in a quarter. If you see bugs/rodents any time, they'll retreat for free (and credit your next quarter if you have 2+ calls!) All in all, you should definitely call ClearDefense for your preventative pest/termite control needs. Their customer service will blow you out of the water & the products won't let you down. We are very pleased with the attention John had on the ants in the yard on the second service but his first visit. After introducing himself very respectfully he spoke on the issue which was my major concern. He ensured me that he will take care of it. There were a lot of small ant mounds and a few large ones that was not there even before the first service. We are very pleased he took the extra time on the issue and explained to me what to look for in the upcoming weeks and if I see new ones don't hesitate to call. After hearing mice scurrying, scratching, and digging in our walls, we figured that ain't nobody got time for that. We searched around, but most places were primarily concerned about signing us up for expensive subscription packages. But ClearDefense did not. These folks were johnny-on-the-spot in coming to inspect my problem. They did not try to up-sell us an expensive subscription. On the contrary, they recommended an easy, cheap, one-off solution that has solved our problem. It's been half a year and no more mice! Guess who I am calling next time I have a pest problem? These guys are amazing. I called around to a few pest control places before deciding to go with Cleardefense. First, let me tell you... my husband and I are frugal but we decided to go with this company even though they cost more than other companies. I have NO regrets about paying more and going with Cleardefense. When I called the other companies they just gave me bare bone answers, but with this company they were thorough and answered alllll my questions. I'll admit... I'm a high maintenance costumer but these guys met my expectations. I called them after hours and they still picked up and went over prices, services, and discussed how'd they'd treat everything. Ryan came out today for our first treatment. Just like the other guys at the office- he answered all my questions while treating the house. He did miss a few cobwebs downstairs but nothing major. He explained that the solution they treat the inside of the house is safe and even used at the children's hospital. I am so happy with my contracted service from ClearDefense. I have a full service plan - inside/out plus mosquito (I have severe welts from any mosquito bites). When my technician arrived to do my mosquito yard treatment - he knocked on the door and asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I mentioned that I have been meaning to call because I have seen a few ants and a few spider webs inside, so I need an inside treatment. He said, "Well, I can take care of that for you right now if you would like." Yes, I do like! He efficiently took care of all of my treatments and was very personable as well. I'm a big fan of ClearDefense Pest Control! If you do not appreciate bugs like myself their quarterly bug service will be money well spent. Our yard has a ton of trees and is pretty lush, basically a haven for bugs. My husband and I joke that it's the best thing we have done since buying the house, at first he thought it would be a waste of money when I signed up for it (wrong!). We hardly ever see a spider or ant in our house. For the first visit they also brush off all the spider webs that accumulate on your house. I wasn't 100% thrilled with the job the first time, when I called they got Adam to come back out the next day and finish the job. Adam has been my bug guy every time, he is friendly and thorough. Recently we saw two mice running around in our finished basement. We called them on Saturday and Adam was able to get out here Monday afternoon. He looked around for possible entry points and took the time to explain to me in detail where he thought the issue might be and where he put traps etc. This is included if you are a quarterly subscriber. We recently also hired Dustin at ClearDefense to do our termite protection. Better safe than sorry, right? If you are a bug subscriber you get a huge discount on the termite plan. The termite plan is charged monthly as opposed to quarterly like the bug plan. Dustin worked his butt off getting the termite hotspots set up around our house. He was also very detailed in explaining the whole process to me. Highly recommend these guys! read more

We were just getting settled in our new Raleigh pad when the cockroaches came out to play. My husband barely got the word "EW" out, and there was a knock at the door. It was Clear Defense. They were in the neighborhood and saw that we were moving in, and offered their services. Their pricing was quite reasonable and they seemed really reliable. Chase set us up and sprayed the inside of our house, and Jae Wojna sprayed the exterior a few days after, since it was raining at the time. Their spray is people and pet friendly, and within minutes we were finding dead bugs. We have had the spray for a few days and have noticed a significant reduction in bugs, and the product doesn't even really stink! They followed up via email and phone, just as they said they would and were courteous and professional each time. Jae and Chase stopped at our house this morning and within just a few minutes of talking to them, we decided to cancel with our current pest control provider and hire them. They were extremely knowledgeable and they're products are much higher quality than what most pest control companies offer, yielding better results. The customer service was impeccable and they did a great job of explaining the entire process, including why their protects work so well. I love that they guarantee their work and will come out in between scheduled treatments if we see a pest issue. We've been using Clear Defense for a little over a year and are very pleased with the service. Our old house (with a different pest control service) was always riddled with silverfish and beetles even after treatment days. So far, I've seen absolutely zero silverfish and the only beetles I've seen have been in the garden. We also had a few black widow sitings before we hired Clear Defense. I am happy to report that I have not seen one since the first treatment from Clear Defense. I have been thoroughly impressed with this company in the few months we've had it so far. The customer service has been above and beyond every single time I've spoken with anyone. The original consult with Phil had an ABUNDANCE of information about their options, the types of treatments they perform, what they guarantee, etc. We signed on at a monthly rate for pest control, termite prevention/inspection, and seasonal mosquito control. We have pets and live out in the country, so the potential for pests (wood roaches, fleas, ticks, etc.) is really high. Being near some water sources, I was also NOT excited about mosquito season because I am always the first person to get bitten (it's not unusual for me to get dozens of bites if I forget to put on repellent). While it's still early in the season, and we just moved in in November (so I don't have a point of reference from last season in this same location), I truly believe that the outdoor treatment is doing a phenomenal job at lowering the mosquito and flea/tick population. I've only gotten one or two bites despite doing a few full days of gardening (including in the evenings when the mosquitoes are normally out), and my pets (while also on topical flea/tick prevention) haven't had a single pest on them that I've seen. When we first moved in we were finding all kind of bugs trying to winter over inside where it's warm, but within a few days of their initial treatment, we were only finding dead ones. I also love that the treatments are extremely pet and child safe, and the outdoor ones stay in the vegetation and don't leach into the ground water (we have well water here). As long as everything continues on the same way, we will absolutely be long term customers! read more

I have to say that I initially took this company for granted. When I moved into my house years ago I immediately started with ClearDefense. I was overall happy with my service but felt that the cost was expensive. The company stated that the cost of the product was due to the high quality of the products. However at the time I was not convinced. After two years I canceled my service and tried to go with a company that was significantly less expensive. To my dismay I have never seen so many bugs in my house in the entire time I've lived here. After six months I came CRAWLING back to ClearDefense! They were happy to take me back LOL. They were back at my house within two days. Branden Oakley was on time and polite as always. Now I can rest assured that my house will be bug free. Awesome service and pest control from these guys. I highly recommend! I was having a garage and inside spider issue which gives me the heebie-geebies and they took care of it! Fire ants?? Gone!! They even put these little sticky traps by either side of the garage track and you wouldn't believe the things that are getting caught in them, lizards, snakes, snails, and bugs all trying to get into my garage when it's down!!!
