I walked into the Pleasanton Mobile Kangaroo location with my father and his Mac laptop and asked the employee at the front counter if he could tell me how to change the password on a Mac computer. Rather than answering my simple question the employee rudely told me I needed to pay him $65 before he would tell me anything. I again asked if he could just point me to the right screen icon to navigate to the change password feature and he again rudely refused to tell me without a $65 payment. Then, another customer walked in and the employee dismissed me and began assisting the other customer. My father and I left the store and while sitting on a nearly sidewalk bench I figured it out on my own in just a few minutes by googling for the instructions. Had the employee been helpful we might have purchased a service agreement because the store location was convenient, but given the service they get this review instead. I do no recommend them because of the employee's attitude.

Plenty of parking here, not a super busy or crowded mall. I had to cancel a service and was able to handle it over the phone. They now have a service where they call you back instead of you waiting on the phone. They will text you updates on the wait estimate and when they are going to call you. It was pretty accurate. My call back was about an hour and 15 min. I didn't mind that compared to waiting on the line and they did call back on time. The customer service person was friendly and professional. Local to California which I liked compared to an overseas call center. If you need to return equipment, you can take it to this store location. They will also partially credit you if you cancel service before your prepaid date. They will mail a gift card. My advice, try to do as much online and then go to the store as needed. I used AI and that was helpful to get some info first.

We have paid $9/month for insurance on her basic phone for 2+ years that I was told I can buy it for $50; but, they won't assist me further. Basically, you'll get screwed over and over; given the run around between CS and the store; and still no resolution. Two people who may have been employees might have been helping customers but there was no conversation going on. A third guy came out of the back and exchanged hugs and back slaps with another guy. Then, he sat down at a desk and got on his phone. After several more minutes one of the other guys said, "He can help you, you know" pointing at the new arrival. The guy did a couple things and said he never saw a phone like mine (which is new) so he didn't know how to help me. No resolution. Maybe it was just an off day?
