Now it is 2:30pm, the problem is solved. Firstly I appreciate all the help honest reviews help me choose this company Secondly when I called this company, a lady answered the call and quickly explained how it will be repaired. Then within 20 minutes, I got call from technician who said an estimated cost. After 30min, Vlad arrived, checked and patiently explained very clearly that it is city responsibly and we could get city to snake it for free. We finally still chose Vald to clean it out for us for simplicity. Vlad did clean out and also clean the place afterwards with care. The whole process is smooth and professional. I had an overflowing main sewer line on a Saturday. They wouldn't quote me over the phone--which I can understand. They did arrive within an hour, which I appreciated. However, once on-site, I was quoted $316 just to snake the line, which seemed outrageous but I was desperate. After about 40 minutes of trying, the technician said he was hitting something on the city side and didn't want to risk getting his snake stuck. He then immediately suggested coming back the next day for hydro jetting at around $600. I asked, "If it's on the city side, shouldn't I call the city instead?" He replied that if the cleanout wasn't "up to code," the city wouldn't touch it. I told him I wasn't sure--it had been there since I moved in. Still, he kept pushing hydro jetting. Luckily, I decided to call the city. The city came out within an hour. The city technician quickly diagnosed the issue, confirmed it was definitely on the city side, and unclogged it within 30 seconds using a simple tool (not even a snake). They even sent out a hydro jetting crew within 45 minutes, who not only cleaned out my line but a large portion of the main city line as well--all at no cost. Bottom line: I understand businesses need to make a living and upsell services. But based on my experience, this company either tried to take advantage of someone in a vulnerable situation or they are simply incompetent. Either way, I would not recommend them. read more

I called them At about 8 o'clock this morning, they said they would get somebody between 10 and noon. The plumber was here exactly 10 o'clock. I explained the problem. He went upstairs and gave me a reasonable quote for what would happen if they were able to snake it and what would happen if they weren't. Fortunately, the snake worked just fine. We had an excellent service call from this third-generation family business. Their estimate was free and included checking the proper draining of the toilet, sink and shower that showed no backup at the head of the clean-out sewer line. So there was no longer a blockage which was the reason we had them out. They even recommended a better flushing toilet , like an American Standard Champion line, that had bigger flapper and drain openings. The technician was over smart and thought it was one valve which had issue I have a live photo of the original leak and now a video of the issue. Both in which the valve keeps dumping water in the bowl. From black pipe originally and now from the new valve he has installed. So issue is still same water keeps coming in the tank. I had explained to the guy same thing. He said he understood but insisted the problem is with the fill valve My warranty company has a max limit which they paid. Now these folks are saying it's a new issue and not accepting that the original issue is not fixed. And so I have to pay out of pocket again. This is really sad I am down $355 -- $125 out of pocket and $250 cap from warranty read more

I had a stopped up toilet so I went to Yelp and based on reviews I called Clear Drain. Glen came within one hour and looked at the problem. He gave me a estimate of $575 to replace the wax ring and snake 75 feet of pipe Which sounded high to me but we had to have it done so I gave him the. Go ahead. He said he would return the next day. He arrived at the promised time and went to work. He was done in less than one hour. The work was done expertly and I paid him. I just think the $575 for less than one hour is excessive. , I am recommending them for the quality of their work but with holding one star for the cost. read more

Prompt service. Called at 3:00 pm on a Friday afternoon, was told that they could arrive between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. Two men arrived at 4:30 pm. I explained that I had tried to snake the main line with a 100' rental and could not clear the line. They stated they had two 75' coils and could go to 150'. A price was quoted and accepted. Work began. An obstruction was hit at about 120'. They ( Vald and Jay) continued out to 150'. The snake was retrieved and the pipe was clear of water. I tested the drain by running the shower and flushing toilets. All was well. Clear Drain Plumbing might be a little expensive but the service with an excellent attitude makes it well worth the money. read more

Really poor service from them. We called them to fix a ruptured tap outside my house. First came in and did a half repair saying they'll come back later. Had to be called twice to come back and continue with the job. Then doubled there charges saying we had to come twice. Stay away. read more
