Scam? You tell me. Just don't use them! We've given this company over $27,000 since 2020, and I can confidently say we will never use them again. Most recently, they came to our home to flush out our tankless water heater. During the flush process, our shower suddenly started leaking out of control. I asked the young plumber if he could take a look at the leak (which started at the same time they were working), and he said he had to leave for lunch and another job. He did call his boss, who showed up an hour later. In the meantime, we asked the young plumber to at least remove the shower plate -- he didn't even have an Allen wrench. We were showing him our Allen wrenches but they weren't the right size. My husband and I had to turn off the water ourselves, as the water was pouring out even though it was turned off. When Jose, the owner, arrived, he immediately started claiming we had all kinds of major plumbing issues: that one of the faucets didn't have hot water (not true), that our shower pipes were leaking in the wall (also not true), and more. Needs to be noted that the young plumber also said we didn't have hot water where the shower was profusely leaking(not true either). Jose also said he couldn't identify the brand of our shower valve -- then took the valve with him to "figure it out." Later, he claimed he still couldn't identify it and suggested we replace it entirely. I asked him to return the part -- he said he'd charge me to bring it back. Seriously?! He took our valve and now wanted to charge us to return it? And he also took the inside large washer. We later brought in another licensed plumber who immediately identified the brand just by inspecting the inside plumbing. He also confirmed we did not have leaking pipes in the wall and that the rest of the issues Jose listed were nonexistent. Jose quoted us nearly $1,000 just to replace our kitchen faucet (not including materials!) and nearly the same for the tub/shower. His full quote was $4,200, and he also pushed a $6,500 water filtration system, claiming that was a great deal. (For the record, I looked it up the average range was from $850-$4,500.) We ended up hiring a highly recommended plumber who did everything -- kitchen faucet, shower, tub, and other small repairs -- for about $800 total. When I told Jose I wanted to get a second opinion, he got very defensive and told me I shouldn't compare him to a handyman. I explained that I was getting quotes from other licensed plumbers, not handymen. Lastly, the new plumber also pointed out that the tankless water heater All Clear installed was missing a valve for the return line which is a standard part of most kits. Shocking. In addition years ago they wanted a lot a money for a sump pump and I found the pump much cheaper on the internet, so we told them we would buy the material(pump) ourselves. Bottom line: We would absolutely not recommend this company. After years of business and thousands of dollars, they proved themselves unprofessional, overpriced, and misleading. read more

Courteous, professional, and got right on the problem we had with our shower and hard water corrosion buildup problems, fixing them within the day. Neat, clean, and great at helping you understand exactly what is going on. Also did a sewage pipe inspection based on the drainage buildup they observed. We were lucky. Only two of us in the house for 30 years. A family would likely have had a major backup in the sewer. Signed them up to fix this as well. read more

First of all, I think I have written 3 yelp reviews in the past and I am sure they have all been good. Unfortunately I have to write this one as Clear All failed to do a job they charged me over $1000 for, but also decided that somehow I was to blame. Very unprofessional and not a good business practice. When they were out on another job they pointed out that my front sprinkler valves were leaking, and this is not only wasting water but also increasing my water bill. I told them to fix them and they installed new valves, which they purchased and charged me for as part of the job. They billed me $950, which seemed a lot but as I said they were good in the past. About a month later my gardner pointed out that the valve controlling the sprinklers in the front yard was not working automatically and when he tried to turn that one on manually, it still did not work. I called Clear All and they sent someone out on 3/3/25. They pointed out that the spring in the valve was not working and it took them about 2 hours to fix it. To my surprise I was charged $225 for this visit. I told Clear All that I shouldn't be charged as the original job was to fix the valves and that they had purchased and installed the valves themselves. They told me that they couldn't be responsible for the valves and that the issue was my "hard water debris"! This, not even one month after their job! I agreed to pay for the second visit, again, because they had done well in the past and it is hard to find (what I thought) was a good plumber. But a week later my gardner again told me that the sprinkler valve in question was not working, even if manually operated. I called Clear All and they came out to address the situation. They spent about 6 hours at my house and when I spoke to them about the problem they continued to look for other excuses as to why the sprinkler valve they were working on did not function. They actually told me at one point that there were too many sprinklers on the valve in question! Again even though the valve was working for years before they tried to fix the leak-not a faulty valve. When they left they showed me that the sprinkler valve in question was working and, since I could see that water was coming out and covering my front lawn, I assumed they had succeeded in addressing the problem. They did not bill me for the time spent which at this point I took to be an acknowledgment that the issue was their own inability to fix a problem which had not existed before they replaced the valves. Later that week my gardner again told me that the spinkler valve in question was not working, even if he tried to open it manually, and I call Clear All. They did not return my call, and so I called again. No response to this call either. I then wrote an email explaining the situation and I did receive a response. However, the response was that there would be no acknowledgment of their inability to fix the problem they created, and again they tried to deflect the blame to other causes- which makes no sense, since again it was never an issue before they replaced the valves. I think this behavior unprofessional and rude given that I was a returning customer. It also makes me question their competence and abilities. Beware. read more

The office girl kept promising us that the estimate is almost ready, just needs some adjustments. After 2.5 weeks of calling, they decide to quit and reply by text that they can't handle our price. After reporting this contractor to the state licensing board (CSLB) for having try to extort more money out of me after guaranteeing a fixed price, the CLSB found that this company did indeed "violate one or more violations of the California Business and Professional Code." Furthermore the CSLB will be sending this contractor "an advisory notice which explains the nature of their concerns and emphasizes the importance of proper conduct and notes that future complains may result in a more severe administrative action." Ask yourself this question: do you really want to do business with someone that the State Contractor Licensing Board found violated their Professional Code and may be liable for further actions? read more

The only reason I'm not giving a rating of one is that I had used them before (just a month before in fact) and had been happy with their work. I had them come out today for what I thought was going to be a routine faucet replacement. The plumber (same one that had been at my house last month) almost immediately started giving me a ton of attitude when I started asking how much time and money I was looking at, as any reasonable homeowner would do before committing to having work done. I had what I thought was a small job (replacing shower control cartridge), but another company looked under house, to access hot/cold shower water supply, and backed off when found crawl space flooded from broken or cracked drain and sewer line piping. Called Clear All Rooter, and was very satisfied with the job they did. Jose explained situation with pipes in detail and showed pictures. Gave go-ahead for replacing under-house drain and sewer pipes Tuesday afternoon, and job was completed Thursday afternoon. Much appreciated job being completed so fast. Separately, on Thursday afternoon, discussed with Jose condition of main sewer line out to street, decided to have that replaced also, and that work was completed by Friday afternoon. Overall, work completed quickly and professionally, thorough clean up, fair price, explained fully, and 'threw in' few small fixes: shower control, house water filtration connection, water heater draining. Even came out following Monday and fixed leak in pipe to outside faucet. Not a happy situation to have plumbing work unexpectedly 'upsized' so much, but happy with work this company did for me. read more

So I had set up an appointment for today at 11am and received a text saying tech would be out here at 10am it's now (9:51) I called to let them know I may run a little late being that they are showing up early to provide me with an estimate of a new sewer install pretty good size job but guess the owner didn't care and wanted to reschedule for another day. I don't understand the logic I may have been a few minutes late but would arrive to job site. I understand they must be busy but they gave me a window of 11 to 1230 wouldn't it have made more sense to wait a few but guess not whoever's running the show doesn't seem to have much common sense. Stay away!!!! Their fees are ridiculous and the staff is super unprofessional and defensive when you're simply trying to understand their billing. Overlapping labor charges for the same tasks, additional $1,300 for something called "company earnings." They more than doubled the bill with BS and their only explanation was "it's the cost of doing business." Don't even bother with this place. They probably pay Yelp to strengthen their ratings. I am so glad that I picked a good plumbing company, from the many choices out there. Spoke to Erik on the phone, and he was able to get service for my mom's house the same day. Called 5 other companies before this one, and Clear All Rooter has fair rates and willing to do a same day job. Christian was the plumber that came over my mom's house, and since I was not there, my mom dealt with him, and she called me very happy to tell me how nice he was, easy to talk to and that he spoke Spanish. My mom is extremely picky, so this was amazing news to hear. I spoke to Christian several times during the afternoon while he did the job, and he was very detailed about explaining the situation with the plumbing, always took the time to take my calls, answer all my questions, fixed the problem quickly and gave me great recommendations regarding the problem. There's not a lot I can say. Christian and Jorge were prompt, courteous and quick. A part was broken under the sink that was unforeseen. He and Jorge quickly went to get the part. The total working time was very quick. It was less than an hour. They also cleaned up under the sink, which other plumbers don't do. It also was smelly so they sprayed simple green to help with the odor. Next plumbing issue, I'll call them! Thank you so much. The worst!! Came out once late said they would come back and do the job at noon two days later Did not show! After we called said they were not coming after all and were too busy to do the work. Really?? Not the kind of company you want to do business with. Then they respond to my review with jiberesh - the facts are (1) showed up late the first time so we could not squeeze the work in after they were late and (2) they said they would be back Thursday at noon - no one showed. On a Saturday, I had a broken shower handle and the open pipe was spewing water everywhere. We managed to shut off water to the house which was of course another problem if this went on too long. My plumber and handyman were both out of town, so I turned to an online search of strangers. The first one that was able to come out was Christian at Clear All. He recommended breaking through the adjacent wall to replace the old pipes and shower hardware for $1,200-$1,400 and was not sure he could do it before Monday. The next plumber, A-1, replaced a spring and washer in the handle for $325 and voila, it was fixed in less than an hour. I feel like Clear All was trying to take advantage of someone with an urgent situation who would likely not take the time to get other quotes. Alternatively, it might have been that Christian was not so knowledgeable a plumber. Either way, ethics or experience, I'd beware. read more

My boyfriend and I bought our new home in January of 2014. Shortly after that, we began having issues with the plumbing. The kitchen sink would back up with nasty black water. This same smelly, sludgy water would also fill our bathtubs, toilets, and also out into our back yards. We had plumber after plumber come in and snake the pipe but it would only last a short period of time. This went on for over a year and it was getting frustrating and expensive. After getting ridiculous quotes to even look at what the issue could be, I put the word out to friends on possible referrals. Finally I got Art's number from a friend of mine and I am so glad I did. Art came out to assess the issue and basically informed is after years of neglect by previous owners, we had to had a broken underground kitchen line which unfortunately connected to the sewer. Art was able to give us a decent quote for the work and came out the on the next weekend when we were available and did the job with his crew in less than a day. The work was great, the price was affordable, and Art was professional and a pleasure to do business. I didn't feel like he was trying to rip us off, as many other companies had in the past. Love this company. I originally called Clear All Rooter to get an estimate for a main sewer pipe liner, which 3 other plumbers told me I needed. Jose, came out assessed my situation and told me, not only did I not need a liner, but he could replace the main sewer line completely by bursting a new pipe, and give me the same 25 year warranty I would have gotten for a liner. He literally saved me over $5k AND the price included replacing the bricks that had to be cut into on the porch and the concrete that needed to be replaced in the driveway. The night before July 4, we had a completely backed up kitchen drain. I think it was my fault because I put some carrot peels down the disposal (which I have learned is a disposal no-no!). We tried plunging and draino but nothing worked. We called these guys and were very lucky that first thing in the morning, they were able to come out. Oddly, the drain had cleared itself overnight! (Lesson learned, always check again if your drain is clogged again before the plumber comes.) We truly appreciated their honesty (free estimate and they just recommended we could snake or camera as a maintenance option). We decided since it was not still clogged to skip that. We had a leak under our house, and in order to repair it, they had to cut out some of the old galvanized pipe which had been left under the house when the new copper pipe was installed years ago. Then they had to replace the leaking section of copper pipe with approximately 10 feet of new pipe. This took about three hours. The workers were neat, clean and did a good job. I thought the price was a little high ($950.00), but after doing a comparison with other plumbers in the area, they were about mid-range. I would probably use them again, but I'd get other bids first. read more

Came out for a free estimate on our water heater. He Did not ask me before turning gas line on that I would be charged since he turned it on and the water heater started on its own. Then I was told it would be 125.00 because he did work. The water heater went out again within 2 hours. I called and the owner was rude and could care less. Smacking his lips and breathing hard responding rudely. I guess because I am a woman since once my brother got on the phone his attitude changed and he said he would send a refund ( they had already cashed my check) . It has been 13 days and i still have not recurves a refund. How does a business charge someone on a free estimate without first making the customer aware they are about to be charged. read more

My toilet was clogged, and my regular plumber was busy, so I called clear All Rooter. They warned me they might break it while trying to clean it out, and indeed he broke my toilet. I had to buy a new toilet, which they installed, but at my expense. 2 1/2 months later, it was leaking through my ceiling in the middle of the night! I called another plumber who fixed it told me it was incorrectly installed. I asked Clear All Rooter to reimburse me for the $150 I spent to fix it, and rather than taking responsibility, he yelled at me on the phone and he wrote, "Me I am done with you and the lies."
