I had a pce done at Clayton Valley Framework. Craig is as honest as you can find. Really nice guy and a true craftsman. He walked me through all the alternatives and did a first-class job. Don't waster your time. go to Clayton Vallet Frameworks! read more

Craig is great. I've taken him many challenging projects including a 150 year old flag, antique photos and most recently, a matchbook collection. As usual, he did an awesome job framing them. I never have to worry about how he will treat my valuables and know he will preserve them for generations. Highly recommend read more

Love their work across the board. I wanted a dope frame for one of my favorite artist first and only double disk album and they delivered 100%. read more

Craig and Austin are professional and really know their craft! I had repurposed a large borderless mirror with backsplash tiles. They recommended a frame that I never would have picked, figured out a sturdy hanger for the back, and then delivered it to my home and hung it for me. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's my go to frame store now. read more

Simply put, Craig is amazing! He turned our frames around quickly at a competitive price, had a great eye for our color schemes and style, and even hung them for us. We will absolutely use Clayton Valley Frameworks again! read more

Craig is a genius. I had no luck anywhere finding a frame for a special print and had almost given up. Craig came highly recommended so I traveled from San Francisco to his shop. Within minutes of my arrival, he pulled a suggestion & voila! It is perfect (& I am quite picky!). I'll never go anywhere else. read more

Went in to have a canvas print framed. Everyone was incredibly helpful, and they were able to present about 8-10 different options for a very specific niche (pirate-themed/nautical, no gold) frame. I brought the canvas in on a Tuesday in order to have it for Valentine's Day. They were very clear there was a chance the frame wouldn't arrive in time, and I explained that wouldn't be an issue, but true to their word they called on Valentine's Day in time for me to pick up the framed artwork (done perfectly!) and bring it home to a very happy spouse. The work wasn't cheap, but it wasn't a ripoff either, and if you want professional artisanal work, you probably shouldn't be bargain-hunting. I wanted the artwork properly showcased, and these people know their craft. I'll be returning in the future for all my framing needs. read more

Excellent service and high quality work. Strongly recommended. Reframed and rehung a large (5'x 4') painting.

Let me get straight to it - my rating is not 5 stars: 1. The frames, the work, the esthetics and quality: 6 stars 2. The business owner, Craig and his team who are so helpful, have great eyes for design and style, and are just a pleasure to do business with: 7 stars 3. The customer service: 6 stars 4. The dog at the shop: 6 stars My first time to ever get my prints framed. Although it's hard not to pick Clayton Valley Frameworks over a dozen others in the Bay Area, just based on Yelp reviews, I was still nervous. I love my prints and I've waited a long time to frame them and hang them in a great place that they deserve. Finally that time came. Working with Craig and his team to pick the frames and the matting was so easy. He is a great listener and consultant and always centered the design around what I wanted - he is one of the easiest person to work with, and my sampling population is quite big. The framed prints came back looking so beautiful - beyond what I could imagine when we designed them together. Craig delivered and installed them on a Sunday (hence the 6 stars customer service), he is so precise and efficient at it. Who would think making my dream come true would be this seamless!!! Thank you very much again, Craig! I pledge my loyalty to your frame shop!!! read more

We found Clayton Valley Frameworks on YELP & they did not disappoint! After moving to our new, smaller digs we knew we'd have less wall space for art & framed photos. One particular needlework piece was over 50 years old & needed a total facelift & updated frame. It's gorgeous & has an updated, more modern look now! Another watercolor piece that had been poorly framed years ago, has now been revived beyond our expectations. Thank you, Craig & Clayton Valley Frameworks for your excellent work & assistance in making our "tired" artwork look beautiful once again. We'll be back! read more

Very high quality framing. We couldn't be happier. Reasonable pricing. Highly recommended!

Craig and staff have been providing me framing services for about 30 years now! His framing recommendations are spot on, and the finished work is always beautiful and high quality. If you have a cherished item to frame, you can't do better than Clayton Valley Frameworks. And for a bonus, Craig is such a nice guy! read more

We recently had a picture framed and I was more than pleased. It was actually 2 pictures that I had matted on one frame, one picture was of the International Star Registry (where a star was named for my Dad in his memory) and then a picture of the galaxy showing his star. First of all they were extremely polite and helpful. I had a lot of detail done to the picture and it came out absolutely beautiful, it was a memory to my Dad who has just passed away. I would definitely use them again. Thank you again for an outstanding job. Doreen Oberg read more

Wow!!! What amazing customer service! I called multiple frame shops in the area in an absolute panic to get my wedding anniversary gift framed. The artwork came in late and I only had 3 days turn-around time. Everyone quoted me 2 weeks. Craig said "no problem! we make miracles happen!" And he did!! He helped me select a gorgeous frame and had it done in 2 days!!! He literally saved me! My 5 year anniversary was perfect and my husband loved his gift and commented on how gorgeous the frame was. I have found my framing shop! I can't thank Craig enough for his excellent customer service. It's something I've found lacking in the East Bay and he has renewed my faith that it still exists. He is my go-to guy from now on! read more

I had a large canvas photo that the photographer had mounted poorly (twice). I took it into Frameworks in hopes they could re-stretch and mount it. Instead they proposed mounting it on a board, and further offered to do it while I went to grab a bite to eat. When I got back it was all done and looked great. All at a fair price. Very helpful and service-oriented. read more

After receiving a painting from a friend as a gift, I had to find a place to stretch and bind it for me. First, I went to Michaels who would not give me a precise estimate, only stating "it will be $200 at least"and claiming they would have to cut some of the painting off. Due to the poor customer service I decided to try elsewhere. Thank God I found Clayton Valley Frameworks! The woman who helped me was extremely nice! She gave me the total price I would have to pay to have it bound and stretched ($117), and when I said I saw they had a yelp deal she automatically gave me the 25% off ($84 total)! She told me it could take 3 weeks to complete, but will probably be finished earlier-it was finished in less than a week! My painting looks beautiful and they did an amazing job-nothing was cut off from it! I will definitely recommend them to friends and family! What a great business! read more

I was so pleased to find Clayton Valley Frameworks in my neighborhood shopping center. I didn't normally need framing service, but this will be my go to place for all of my future needs. Craig and his team took on the task of stretching and re-framing two large and well-loved canvases (including one measuring 6' x 5'), and did a stellar job on both. From the minute we arrived at the shop, it was clear the paintings were in expert hands. Working with Craig was a pleasure all the way through the process, right till the spectacular end when the completed canvasses were delivered and installed. I can absolutely vouch for Clayton Valley Frameworks' truly excellent service and craftsmanship. read more

I have been using CVframes for over 20 years. The work is always perfect and Craig (proprietor) goes above and beyond my expectations every time. The quality of his craftsmanship is unmatched by any. The attention to detail and top shelf materials yield consistently lovely works which stand the test of time. Every thing he has ever framed for me is as beautiful today as the day it was framed. Craigs full service approach makes framing projects simple, fast, and reliable. I have seen work done by franchise and/or discount shops, and the difference is very noticeable... Loose fittings, unsteady corners, and art/photos which "float" warble or warp often results from these lower end shops. I heartily recommend Clayton Valley Frameworks, you won't be disappointed...CVframeworks Rocks! read more

My husband and I were so pleased to give local business our money. We took many months trying to decide whether to frame a large piece in our Clayton home. We couldn't even fit the thing in our car. Craig picked it up and dropped it off for no extra charge. The work is impeccable. If you are framing items that you care about, there is NO other place to go. If you want a frame that won't look like everybody else's, there is NO other place to go. I think we've had four pieces framed there by now. The frames are warm and unique. We're just thrilled. The staff there is wonderful and the owner brings his dog in. I'm a sucker for a place with a dog. read more

Both times to this business showed me why they receive such outstanding reviews. I was not only helped with the special project I had, but was given the kindness of their expertise without being charged. I suspect they realized the meaning of my framing project as a memorial to my youngest daughter that now hangs in my fitness/martial arts studio. Regardless of their reason they provided expert solution and consideration beyond my expectations. Thank you again. read more

I brought quite a few frames that needed repair into this shop. They did a great job and the price was right.

I had what I first thought was a hair-brained idea for a birthday present/housewarming gift to give my girlfriend for our new house. As it turns out transforming a funny idea into a great one is only a matter of finding the right professionals to help you do it: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1116919511662686&id=137609822926998. Craig really went above and beyond working with great care on an unusual project, and he even met an aggressive deadline to get the gift ready on time. I'm so lucky to have found a framer who dedicates themselves to their projects. I certainly will not be taking other framing projects anywhere else! read more

This buisness is the GREATEST! I took a piece in months back to have framed, I didn't know what I wanted and left it up to him (Craig). It was fantastic and looked great. After my Mom just passed away I found high school honors and her jacket letter in a box, she never mentioned her school activities to us kids.I took all her stuff to Clayton Valley Frameworks (Craig) and just told him do your thing. When I picked it up I was speechless (if you know me that doesn't happen) it was more then I could have ever wished for. If you need anything frames this is your place! Thank you Craig, you went above and beyond. read more

Clayton Valley Frameworks has a professional staff second to none! They are experts in color coordination which is critical when having multiple mats framing a piece that will be viewed by hundreds of people in a busy gallery. The store has numerous frame selections and the staff has the patience to work with you in exploring options until you are satisfied. They aren't hesitant in voicing their opinion on your choices but having voiced their concerns, will proceed to complete your instructions in a timely professional manner. The store is convenient to most East Bay communities and parking is always plentiful. Craig and his staff can be trusted to do an excellent job from the framing of a basic snapshot to the matting and framing of a costly work of art. Warren - Martinez read more

Saw a photo a friend posted on Facebook and fell in love with it. I had to have it. So I ordered a big print of it but didn't know where to get it framed. I looked here and saw that Clayton Valley Frameworks had received a bunch of good reviews and thought I would give them a shot. I was not disappointed. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and was extremely patient with me. They gave me a bunch of different options and were really good about making suggestions but not telling what to think. This is a fine balance and they did it very well. I'm a very opinionated person-esp. about art. I know what I want when I see it. If they had hung on me or gave me rapid fire suggestions I would have gotten frustrated- but they did not. They made a suggestion and then they let me look at it and think about and then they came back in a few mins to check on me. It was awesome customer service. In the end I was super-stoked about the result. It is awesome and I get compliments on it all the time. Even from people who are not fans of the sport say, "that is an awesome image and very well framed." I understand you pay for quality- and they are top quality. I could have gone cheaper but I was terrified that the art would look it. Framing isn't cheap- so get a quote. I spent more then I wanted to- but I know thats my fault.
