Our family was looking for something fun to do on a Saturday in Concord, and this place had such great reviews that we decided to check it out. Finding it felt like stumbling upon a speakeasy--tucked away in an industrial area off Monument. When we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest staff member who answered all our questions and made us feel right at home. My 3-year-old was especially thrilled to meet the resident cat, Spacer (who's apparently a bit of a space enthusiast), and was even allowed to pet him! The place is spotless, the machines are in amazing condition, and the prices are totally reasonable. It's such a cool, unique spot--whether you're looking for a fun family outing or a quirky date idea. We had a blast and will definitely be back!

The Pandemic has calmed. The Flipper Room is open. The Machines are plugged I once again. Check their website for hours and various tournaments. I came out for the Launch Party for Sterns James Bond 007 Pinball Machine along with 32 other pinheads competing for glory and WPPR's. While I may not have done so well, it was fun competition. Kudos to Mike and Kate for putting it all together (with some help, of course).

This is one of my favorite places to play pinball on Earth. Hands down the greatest themed game rooms and the nicest people you will ever meet. Bring in your posters and Mike and his team will frame them for you.

The Flipper Room has been on my radar for a long time to visit and play the pinball machines. They are located in a small industrial area within the space of the Framing Shop. Once inside, you get the sense that there is a lot of love for unique-ness that is pinball. Most of the games cost between 50 cents to $1 to play a single game. And there is the more cost effective play of 3 games for $2. Pretty much all of the games require quarters to play so you need to change your paper money to coins. This is kind of a drag especially if your dropping singles in. The change machine does take $5, $10 and $20 bills. It will only put out $5 in quarters and give you back your change in $5 bills. So, if you put in a $20, it'll give you 20 quarters and three $5 bills back. I was hoping they just had a pay per time desired, enter and play the games until your time is up. I'm sure it's so they can collect $$$. My daughter and I spent a few hours there so it got to be expensive. There are a few pins that were down for maintenance but the ones that were up were in great condition. They have a clipboard on the change machine to note any issues you may observe for them to address. I noted three items and the gentleman at the front was very aware and took care of them while I was there. He was nice enough but not very welcoming to his space. It's ok because the games compensated for that. I like the place for the number of pins available and I would come back to play certain games.

I was in attendance at the flipper room on Sunday. I'd been here once before and the machines were flawless, and these machines are in mint condition. Pinball is great. I love to play. The idea of a Pinball Party was brilliant. The taco bar was a stroke of genius. Shout out to the two ladies running the grill like a well oiled machine. Check out my reviews.

Now, i love video games but this place has some really fun and cool pinball machines! I liked the variety of pinball machines going from old to new, and it's really cool playing the old ones because that have a satisfying "ding" sound every time the ball hits a bell knowing you scored some points. The staff was also really friendly telling us that some of the machines have a deal where the certain amount of money you put in is the amount of plays your will get. I would come back here to try to set some new high scores!

Ask the Community - The Flipper Room

    Do you have Pinbot pinball?

Not right now, but we are always rotating games. We have almost 80 games in the rotation so check back often ;)

Is it kid friendly? For 7 yr old?

Yes, absolutely. In fact we even have a kids league for 5-12 year olds called The Little Flippers.

There is a great selection of pinball games you can play for 25 cents, it ranges and goes up to newer games for about 1.

The shop is odd, because it has a pinball gallery teeming with boisterous kids in the same space, only separated by a partial partition. I was forewarned about this on the phone. There is very little natural light in the shop. Not a pleasant environment for framing art unless you have a kid you need to entertain while you shop for frames. I really liked a particular frame and was given a very high quote, close to $500 for 16" by 20", no mat or glass and 4-5 week turnaround time. I aready have many custom framed pieces and know what costs can be- this was too high. I was able to find the identical frame for half the price elsewhere with a 2-3 week turnaround. I do appreciate that I was shown this frame. I'm not sure if I'd have noticed it on my own. I wish I could give a better review but high prices and slow turnaround are deal breakers for me.

With luck on my side, I was able to score a signed Alex Wood authentic jersey. My friend insisted I get it framed, so I looked around my local area and came across this location. Reading the reviews on here as well as other places, I had to give it a try. When I brought the jersey I , Austin assisted me right away. He asked me what and how I wanted things to be framed and informed me of the different colors that would match the jersey. At first, the price was higher than I budgeted, but he was able to shorten the dimensions of the frame by readjusting my jersey a bit more to a price I was comfortable with. He also asked if I wanted a name plate to help display the name of the jersey and I agreed with how reasonable that price was as well. Austin was very transparent with the entire process, from how long it takes and what he planned on doing, to the cost of each step of the way. He assisted me in keeping things at a fair budget and I appreciate his customer service and friendliness. I picked up my jersey the other day and I am amazed at how it turned out. The nameplate looked awesome and the jersey is on full display with the signature as well. The worker who finished my transaction was also helpful and showed me the proper way to hang it. All in all, I highly recommend this place to get your stuff framed. You pay for high quality material and service and I know I will be back again for any future projects I could have to be framed.
