I found Sew Good Embroidery after an extensive search here on Yelp for embroidery shops that do small quantity orders and quality work. There are many shops, but not many that are willing to do small orders. I'm glad I kept searching. It led me to John. I sent over an email on Wednesday, called to set up a drop off time on Thursday, dropped the items off Friday (we ordered our own garments) , and they were ready for pick up on Tuesday (yesterday). The process was seamless. He is very knowledgeable about his business. He recommended certain changes and they were spot on. We sent him the svg file and he was able to digitize it for the embroidery machine. We had a variety of garments embroidered, and they all look great! The stitch work is exceptional. The shop is a quaint little space off of Clayton Road. There is street and lot parking available. You do have a flight of stairs to get to him. Definitely worth every step lol. From the moment you elk in, you can see for yourself his work. From delicate doilies to leather motorcycle gear- the embroidery is top notch. He is closed on Sundays and Mondays. He opens at 11am. Overall, a 10/10 experience. We will be using him for all of our embroidery needs!! read more

I had a bought new white coats and needed them embroidered ASAP so through Yelp I found John and decided to give him a try despite the low volume of Yelp reviews. I am so glad that I decided to take a chance because not only are his prices very affordable, but he does great work. Getting here was tricky because his shop is tucked away. The first time I came here I missed it completely and had to make a U-Turn. If this is your first time, when you see the sign for "Diablo Valley School" turn in and park in their lot. Then go to the side of the building and go upstairs, that's where John's office is. John was very easy to work with. I told him what I needed, he told me the cost, I paid for it and then went home, and then came back during said pick up day and everything was ready. When I came to pick up my order I had my son with me who was asleep in the back seat and everyone knows that you DO NOT wake a sleeping baby. So I called John and asked him if he could walk down my order, which he kindly did, which totally earned brownie points in my book. Overall, great experience and I will definitely contact John again if I need any tailoring or embroidering done! Additional Info: - Since it's just a one man shop, he tends to take his lunch anywhere between 11:30-1:30pm and since the lunch hours are not set I would call ahead of time to make sure that he is open and there. - He does take cash and credit card. Great experience! I got a bamboo toddler blanket embroidered for Christmas way early. Just $8! Called ahead to see if John could do it and he asked me to bring it in and then said it wasn't an issue. I brought samples of the font I wanted.
