I found Jay Adam's, owner at Classic Kitchens etc. through a YouTube video on shear walls. I had a wall removed in my home, not knowing it was a shear wall. Once I was made aware of it and knowing the safety concerns, I started looking for contractor & structural engineer all inclusive as I wanted a team with a good working relationship. After getting multiple quotes and vague answers on what these other contractors plans were, I reached out to Jay. Jay scheduled a site visit that following week, let me know what his game plan was. He provided multiple options of how we can make the structure safe. Jay is super knowledgeable and intelligent. In about a week, he provided a quote. Jay was flexible and understanding that I wanted to spend as least as possible and really did his best to accommodate my requests. Jay was upfront with the numbers, when he expects the payments with contract drawn out by his staff. Jay worked with our city to submit all necessary permits, scheduled all inspections, negotiated with city through revisions they were requesting to continue to advocate for me. In 2019, we renovated the exterior of our 1977 tract home. Last year we decided to redo the interior. Even though I have 40 years of construction management experience and ran the exterior remodel myself, I didn't do residential work and needed to find a contractor to do it. After checking out several contractors and not being comfortable with them we met with Jay at his showroom. We had a good idea of what we wanted but had not selected all the colors or materials. We went to his showroom which has a huge selection of everything that you need to renovate your home and at various price points. We then made an appointment with Jay and went home and looked through the brochures we were given. The meeting went fine and working with Jay was easy. He helped us with material selections and Enrique put together estimates for what we wanted; complete renovation of both bathrooms, the master vanity, removal of all flooring and replacing with vinyl plank flooring throughout the house except for tile in the bathrooms, vanity and master bedroom closet. We removed the fluorescent light box and task light in the kitchen, drywalled over it and added 8 LED recessed can lights. Other than that, paint and flooring, we kept the kitchen as is. We also replaced the linen cabinets, china hutch, wall base and paint. The contract was signed in early January and work began on March 20th (lead time to get the cabinets and all materials prior to start of the work.) That gave us enough time to pack up the house and move as much as we could into the garage. Throughout construction, we had to move some things in the house and the construction crew helped us as required. (I never slept outside of my bed although my wife had to sleep in the guestroom with the dogs until the master bathroom work was completed.) The key was to do the master bathroom, vanity and closet first as we lived in the house and needed access to a working bathroom. As they were working on the second bathroom, they started removing flooring and installing the balance of the cabinets and started painting. Ernesto, their field superintendent worked with me on the schedule and quality control. The field employees were skilled in their trades and made the project shine! After nine weeks of construction everything was complete. All in all, we were very pleased with the quality of the materials used and the quality and care exhibited by the field crews. read more

So happy we found Jay with Classic Kitchen Etc. We met with several contractors prior and had just signed with another company. I called Jay (last min) We spoke for over an hour, and even though I told him we had already signed, he STILL took the time to talk to me and suggest things to share with the signed co. We asked him if he could come over and give us a quick quote and discuss our project and he did! 2 hours after meeting with him, we paid to get out of our contract (true story) and signed with Jay. Our project turned out better than anything I could have imagined! Jay & his crew went above and beyond to meet all of our expectations! After a couple of bids, we chose Classic Kitchens for a partial kitchen remodel and added a bar area. I was unhappy with our atrium/dining room with a load bearing post seemingly in the middle of nowhere. We wanted to turn that small area into a bar area. Jay (owner of Classic Kitchens) came up with a plan for the bar area that turned out better than we imagined. In addition, a custom designed wine rack was created for the area, and we were very pleased with the way it turned out (one of my favorite things besides the 48" range). Jay was very thorough in describing every aspect of the kitchen and bar design and provided renderings to help us with the process. We had a few changes/additions during the process, and they didn't hesitate to accommodate our requests. Even though we only did a partial remodel in the kitchen, they matched everything to perfection in the kitchen and it looks like a total remodel. Jay is very knowledgeable, and we were very comfortable with every aspect of the remodel. Ernesto (Supervisor) was very helpful, kind, and kept us informed at every step of the process. The tradesmen were professional, respectful of our property, and polite. They arrived on time and cleaned up everything when they left. We were very impressed with Jay and his company. We searched awhile for a contractor to remodel our master bathroom. The search included only quotes from licensed/insured contractors. A friend referred us to Jay at Classic Kitchen after having her kitchen remodeled. She was very pleased with the result. We requested an appointment for a consultation. Jay met with us, listened to our desires, and then provided some great design ideas. He submitted a quote with the renderings in the time frame promised. We were really impressed with the renderings. The quote was little higher than the others, but Jay uses quality products and the best cabinetry. Jay walked us through the proposed project from start to finish, which was reassuring and well worth the extra cost. After we made the decision to hire Classic Kitchen, we met Jay at his showroom which has most of the products needed for remodeling. The most difficult part was choosing tile, flooring, and colors. But Jay and his staff help you with those decisions. We signed the contract in March 2023 with a start date in May. Jay estimated it would take 6-8 weeks for completion which was met. From the beginning of the project, we could see the expertise of the crew, all of them very professional and talented. The supervisor, Ernesto, was on the job site consistently to ensure the quality of the work and that the project was on schedule. We wanted a walk-in shower with a bench. Jay designed a walk-in shower with a bench per our request. However, during the construction process, we wanted to make a change in the location of the bench to provide more space on the shower floor. But we couldn't come up with a feasible design until the project manager, Enrique, showed up with a suggestion. It was perfect! Classic Kitchens recently remodeled a bathroom for me. Initially I found Jay through Houzz when I was just looking for another quote to compare with the company I was planning to hire. As soon as Jay showed up, he was making suggestions and talking about some of the details for the project that three other companies totally disregarded. All of the things would need to be addressed eventually, but only Classic Kitchens thought of everything from the first interaction right through the last. The different experts that came in to do their work (tiling/plumbing/carpentry/paint/drywall/electrical) were all 100% professional, kept me informed daily, and were totally responsive to any needs or concerns. I am very particular as a DIYer about the process and the attention to detail. These guys completely exceeded my expectations. I added a few things as we went along and Jay and his team were completely agreeable with the changes on the fly. As for the costs, Classic Kitchens were not the most expensive but they were comparable with the most expensive. Throughout the project they proved why they were worth the expense. Especially after comparing stories with other friends that have gone through similar remodels. The project was slated for 2-3 weeks and ended up taking 4 weeks because weather didn't let some materials cure in the expected time.
