So since I moved to Arizona, there has been sun damage on the hood of my car, the roof, and the trunk. I tried to talk to someone there and ask for a quote on paint. I called a few times and they left me a message on my phone. I didn't listen to the message entirely, however, when I called, the person was hard of hearing (understandable) but then when I explained my situation and just asked for a quote he rudely explained to me what kind of paint damage happens on cars and how they are a year out because no one wants to work. I get that, however, the way he said it was inappropriate, even for someone just inquiring. I do not recommend this business to new customers at all. read more

Ahh, I forgot that I had reviewed these guys already for mechanical work. Well, I was so happy with the alignment, I came back when someone backed into the side of my Corvette that I had just bought. It didn't even have a license plate yet. I knew where to take my car. Joe takes care of mechanical work and his brother Mike takes care of the body shop side. Once again, wow. Mike took care of making arrangements for payment from the other guy's insurance and after dropping off my car, even drove me to the rental car agency. They did amazing work. The car looks great. Later I thought I found some small nicks (I love this car so I'm trying to keep it in great shape) on a hood decal that MIGHT not have been there before. I wasn't sure and asked what he thought. Since I wasn't sure I offered to pay for the replacement decals and installation. He wouldn't let me, not even half. He decided to just take care of it for free. Wow. Now I felt bad since I really wasn't 100% sure that it was from them and no matter how many times I offered to pay in full or half it didn't matter. So yes, everything from the guy backing into me turned out great. Then, months later I hit a curb pretty hard and damaged my front splitter. It's carbon fiber and it was cracked beyond repair. Well, I knew where to go. This time there was no insurance involved and once again, great work and again he was just a nice guy. And he gave me a smoking price. I am so happy with this shop I'm now trying to think of other things I need painted. I have a motorcycle helmet that I dropped and am going to bring them to clean up the scuff and my wife's fender has a pretty big ding on it. I can't recommend this shop enough. It makes you feel a bit better about this sometimes messed up world when you find an honest shop that does great work. So, guys, I'll be back! read more

From the sweet woman Jerry at the front desk, to Michael. Not only did they deal with the long lag time from my company insurance, they went ABOVE and BEYOND. Michael and his team not only gave me my car looking brand new... they even gave it an interior/exterior facelift. I had minor scuffs on the exterior and they buffed them out. I was told several times by another auto repair shop that my Honda CRV needed both front and rear struts to the tune of almost $2,000. I had Joe give me an estimate for the same work sight unseen which was $500 cheaper, however he questioned whether the work was necessary. We took the car in, he inspected it and said while he`d love to make the profit, the struts were fine and didn't need replacement. Did a little bit of damage to my car and was pointed here by Xtreme Motorsports down the street since Xtreme doesn't work with insurance companies. From now on, I will be bringing my car to Classic for regular maintenance and body work. Corvette owners, I recommend at giving this shop a call as they always have several Vettes of all eras in their (clean) garage. I had to have a couple of body panels painted, two wheels replaced, and some suspension repairs. Luckily, Geico covered me with a rental car while the work was getting done. Classic called me up and said my car was ready a week or so later, so I returned the rental and went to pick up my car. To my surprise, they ordered and installed THE WRONG WHEELS. Although extremely frustrated, I left the shop as I had to go to work and didn't have a rental. As the day progressed, I noticed that there was also a rubbing sound coming from the bearings and I was starting to become furious. I had to call the shop and tell them I was not happy. I spoke with Fran and she stayed on the phone with me for like 20 minutes while I vented all my concerns, bless her soul. After I unleashed hell, she said "Listen, I've been in the business for 20 years and customer service is my number one goal. We WILL make this right for you, Faraaz". She had me bring my car back that same day for them to take a look at the wrong wheels their supplier ordered. I was greeted by the mechanic who worked on my car, Michael. He apologized profusely as if he put the wrong order in himself, and then proceeded to reassure me that Classic would take care of me and that I should not worry about anything. I was happy about this, although still pretty pissed off that I didn't have a rental for while they fix this mistake. While I waited for the new parts to come in, I brought my car back several times to fix a few smaller issues. EVERY SINGLE TIME I brought my car back, Michael put down his tools, walked out of the garage and greeted me personally. THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE, AUTO SHOPS OF TEMPE, TAKE NOTES. Michael has set the standard for me as far as auto mechanics go. I even learned that all of the employees are one small family--Fran I believe is the mom, her husband (dunno his name) is very intimidating but still friendly and fair, and Michael's brother (forgot his name, too), although probably the quietest of the bunch, was very knowledgeable about my car in particular. He said he even owned a few in his lifetime. Anyways, they called me the other day and said the parts came in and fixed it next day. They even found another issue that required a replacement part. After I told them that I'd be really inconvenienced with not having a car for two days in a row, they rushed the part for me and FIXED IT SAME DAY INSTEAD. Right on. So Classic, you DID make it right for me, and I thank you for that. So sorry that I had to be "that guy", but I have a lot of pride in my car and I just need things to be perfect. After reading all the reviews on here I'm glad that I chose Classic Gold and would not hesitate to recommend them. I needed to have my front bumper replaced due to a minor accident on the freeway. Not only did they have the lowest quote out of all the shops that I went to but Mike was a very personable guy and was honest as to what the costs would be. Two days later I came back to pick up the vehicle and the front bumper looks as good as new. I also didn't realize how much wear and tear my old bumper had encountered so it was probably a good idea to get the bumper replaced anyway. The customer service here was excellent. The ladies at the desk were helpful and had no issues sorting out a rental car for me while my vehicle was at the shop. I also had no idea that they also do regular car maintenance including oil changes so I'll probably come back here for that. read more

I took my car to Classic Gold after they were recommended by several members of my Corvette club. After they "fixed" my car I had to bring it back to them three times because it was overheating. Once they finally got that fixed I have found over the past two years as I've been fixing things they supposedly fixed that instead of buying new body fasteners as they were supposed to they kept and used the old ones that had been part of an accident that caused over $13k in damage to my car. I've also found defects in the paint, a used fan control module that was part of the fan that had been completely destroyed (this cost me $1600 total including rental car costs to fix), multiple used parts that insurance paid to have replaced were used instead of buying new parts, and my exhaust is crooked. These guys are crooked, don't care about their work, don't care about their reputation (I belong to the largest Corvette club in Arizona), and only care about getting paid even if they have to cheat the insurance company and customer to do so. I will never have my car back there, and will tell everyone who asks to stay far away. read more
