Back the next day doors locked again during opening hours. Sill not in a hurry. Came back day three was finally able to get my clothing. Next time to pick up clothing a few weeks later. Computer system was down and couldn't get clothing. Came back a second time. Gentleman working was in a surly mood, not at all friendly. They have signs up to be kind to their employees because of staffing and pandemic related issues. But the staff also needs to do the same. Picked up my clothing today. I was so happy to see the young lady of color. ( I really have no idea what is PC today ) She is always so friendly and funny and always makes me laugh even at something as mundane as a hypenated last name. I have been a customer for over a year. Sterling cleaners has had some challenges the last 10…read moreweeks. The front counter ladies are excellent and unfortunately, they spend a great deal of time looking for clothing that has been misplaced and racked in a different area than the computer says. I brought in 3 shirts and when I went to pick them up only one was ready and they said the other two would follow. I received a ticket for the two that i was owed. Looking for the shirts went on for a month. I was finally called by sterling and they told me the shirts were given to someone else and that person brought them back. I went in to pick them up and they were no where to be found. Management handled this so poorly, they took another week to research. I was told they would have to look at video and totally disregarded what I was saying in addition I had two of her employees verify what I was saying was correct. Finally they admitted they could not find them and offered to reimburse $15 to $20.00 a shirt. I not sure where you can replace a dress shirt for $20.00. I was also told by management I picked them up and she remembered waiting on me. She has never waited on me. This situation could have been handled more professional and it took me 3 trips to get an answer. Management basically told me I was a liar which I find amazing when the two employess backed me up. I have moved on and will not do business with Sterling due to management. What a shame the front counter ladies are excellent. I think people should know the $15 to $20 replacement policy on shirts if they lose yours.

Mike Cento is a true craftsman. He took 2 pairs of shoes, resoled them, cleaned them up, polished…read morethem, etc., and now they are like new shoes. One of the pairs, my Footjoy Classics Spikeless, stopped being produced in 2009 so I wasn't sure how difficult of a project this might be for Mike. Turns out they look better than they did when they were new! More support, better constructed, and they look brand new. Mike took a pair of shoes that were literally falling apart and brought them back to life, even better than before. These Footjoys look better than anything Footjoy sells these days! Mike did such a great job that I dropped off another pair when I picked up my last 2 pair. And I have about 3 more pairs of shoes that are in need of being recrafted, Cento Shoes will be wear I am taking them. The price is right at Cento Shoes and they carry all the good and necessary shoe care products to keep your shoes in great shape and well nourished. Jennifer who works in the front of the house is just amazing and super kind.
