Bought a 2018 Corvette Grand Sport from Classic. There have been numerous issues. The latest is the ride quality. It is horrible. There is a fix for it but Classic Chevrolet wants me to pay $350 to have it done. The car is less than a year old and has 11k miles. Well within the warranty period. They are claiming since the fix is an upgrade they have to charge for it. Lets see, the car has issues and I have to pay additional money on top of the $70,000 purchase price. read more

We purchased a 2017 Tahoe from Classic which makes the third vehicle in which we have worked with Jose Hernandez. We do not and will not ever dread buying a new Chevy vehicle because we know dealing with Jose is and will be a pleasant experience. As everyone knows this isn't always the case. Next time we need a Chevy, Classic is our place and Jose is our guy! We also felt like the gentleman (whose name I can't recall) that did all the final paperwork provided a very smooth and enjoyable experience. During the purchase of our last non Chevy vehicle we were heavily pressured by the finance guy to purchase numerous useless services. That left us with a bad impression of the dealership. Not the case at Classic! We did purchase an extended warranty for the Tahoe. Will be a Classic customer in the future. read more

Our salesmen Tim was great. We appreciate his responsiveness this last week when we had issues. However I can't in good faith leave 5 stars for this dealership. We had a major breach in privacy and it caused a lot of extra stress on our vacation. Beware your vehicle here has a GPS device on it that was added it this dealership, they try to sell it to you but we declined. They said they would remove it. We paid in full for our vehicle and the full GPS tracker was left in it with only 2 wires cut. The unit was still working and caused our vehicle to be disabled on our road trip in Colorado. The dealership agreed to reimburse us but it is very dishonest to place a tracking device on personal property no longer property of the dealership. Our vehicle was registered over a month ago and still no plates. They use an excuse of Covid-19 but I actually know they were registered and sent a long time ago. We called the dealership and still nothing. I am so fed up i filed a complaint with the state today. read more

After my last review Ally warranty concluded it was an early loss and the selling dealership had to of known about these needed repairs before I purchased the car and were financially responsible. Since my car was already taken apart at an independent mechanic, I wanted them to pay for needed repairs where it was but a manager at Classic named Bobby insisted it be brought back to them, which wasn't close either. In fact, when he called he kept talking over me. interrupting me as I expressed my concerns over the quality of their work and lack of attention they had already shown prior. He never took ownership for their errors but instead put the blame on me stating maybe I punctured lines during the test drive which resulted in all these leaks. Impossible. Insulting. Bobby eventually hung up on me so Ally helped communicate the deal. Ultimately they did fix 4 out of 5 repairs that the independent mechanics found and put me up in a loaner for the last week. I'll be having it looked over again but I'm confident if anything else comes up it will be taken care of. James P was the only person who communicated professionally with me and was timely in response. I do love my new car and the buying process was easy. Get the Ally protection. I almost didn't. I'm not sure I would of had the same positive outcome had I not had them advocating with me for repairs. Appreciate them making it right. I understand human error, I hope the techs who originally worked on my car and did a final inspection are trained better. read more

I had gone to a couple Chevy dealerships to try and find the truck my husband wanted, he was very picky and almost all of the dealerships because we looked young didn't really want to help us. I called in ahead to classic before we went in to make sure they had the truck and provided amazing customer service even through the phone! Not once did they ever doubt or make me feel like just a blow off customer. I was in contact with Mario V. and he helped me find the exact truck we wanted and not once did he ever make me feel like i wasn't a valued customer. Mario V. When you spend a lot of money on a brand new LTZ Chevy Duramax and you have been to the service department three times you question why you bought a new truck in the first place. Unfortunately the loan vehicles provided by Classic aren't the in great supply but the service department has been friendly so far. The clutch fan was replaced and this should resolve the fan issue. Taking a lot of time and effort to make this right. read more

While my vehicle was in for warranty work to correct a starter noise, they left my car outside and it sustained hail damage over the weekend. They were unwilling to help at all with the repair even though the car was under their care. By the way I had one of their loaner cars which I kept in my garage so it didn't get any damage. I wish they would've taken the same care with my car that I took of theirs. To top it off, the starter noiseWas not corrected... I cannot recommend this dealership to anybody. read more

But she called me every day just the same, even if just to reassure me they were working hard to have me back in my car by the weekend! My 72 year old brother was referred to this dealership by his girlfriend. Salesman Brent Williams was a friend of the family and they had purchased many cars here. Well they sold my brother a car with hail damage and did not disclose this. He did not see how the grill under the windshield was all busted. But after a couple if months leaves began to blow into the car from the vents. He returned only to be treated terribly and accused him of lying stating he could have been in a hell storm and is lying that he missed the damage prior to signing for the car. Also Brent knew there was only 1 set of keys but again not disclosed until after purchased. With a friend like Brent you do not need an enemy. It is shameful that Classic Chevrolet would deliberately take an advantage of a senior citizen. Shame on Classic Chevrolet! Avoid this dealership!! Not honest and poor customer service! read more

Let me explain why I have chosen 1 Star. I bought a Suburban from Rod, who was a great salesman and helped us find the right car for us in August 2019. In the process of buying the car it was mentioned that a customer's car had been stolen a week before from someone leaving the keys in the vehicle. Then roughly 10 months later I took my car in to be serviced (oil change and tires rotated). I explained that I would need to drop off the car and pick it up later that day, though it took less than an hour for the service to be complete. Mr. Yrenio told me it would be no problem to come back later. When we pulled up to the front of the dealership we saw our car parked off to the side with the front windows down and the keys sitting out in the open on the middle console. We had trouble finding someone to help us, but eventually we were told that we needed to pay $75.00 for the service. We explained that oil changes and tire rotations were included in the purchase of the vehicle. They made us go over to the sales department and get a copy of the paperwork and take back to the service department. How do they not have this in their system and why would they make me, their customer, do this? When I asked Mr. Yrenio if leaving the windows OPEN with the KEYS left in the vehicle is their normal procedure, he laughed and said YES!!!! I asked him how long was it sitting out with the windows open and he said it had been that way for a couple of hours. I told him I couldn't believe they would leave the windows down with the keys out in the open, especially during the DUST STORM. He replied that they have audio and video cameras... REALLY Classic Chevrolet... I'm a pretty understanding person, but this was ridiculous!! It's no wonder someone had their car stolen from your lot, you make it easy for them!!!!! read more

I suppose when it comes to car joints, everyone is on guard. I know of SO MANY scamster auto dealers -- that I don't blame the caution. But I have to say, my deal with Classic was straight up. Word. I went through the Internet sales department, which is really the way to go anytime you want to buy a car nowadays; You'll generally get a better price since they know you've been comparison shopping, and they'll ease off on the hard-sale tactics (but your mileage may vary). My sales guy was super easy to deal with. Friendly and a straight shooter. My company allows me "GM Supplier Pricing" so I went in with a fixed-price and it all seemed like a fair deal through and through. I would suggest getting in on the "supplier" fixed pricing deals -- anyone can get it but you have to do your homework on qualifying. It's worth it. They'll help you. Two points of minor criticisms, one which is out of Classic's control. Construction: They are building up the freeway outside Classic and it's crazy hard to get to the place, at least on the first try. Don't even try to use your navigation system or you'll find yourself pointed sideways at an Arby's lost in 1993. Second criticism is my Internet sales guy smelled a little Pal-mally; When my deal was through it took a couple days before my new car smelled new again after the ashy waff wore off. But summarizing what's important, Classic did me a straight up deal without hassles and bogus "undercoating" options. It was easy cheesy. And if you want to buy a Chevy, they have an insane collection of ~1500 new cars on the lot. Their inventory is mind boggling to consider. I believe they're the largest Chevy dealer in the US. The experience left my grin toothy. read more

I came in wanting to buy a truck, but wasn't really sure which one would fit my lifestyle best. I live in San Marcos, but my family was in town for a wedding, so I decided to bring them with for help making a decision. I ended up going with a V6 Silverado 1500 Regular Cab. Chad was very friendly, helpful, and patient explaining all of my options. Another important part of my purchase was getting a drop in liner that day, because I planned on using the bed of the truck on the way back from Dallas. Unfortunately, y'all were out of liners that fit, but lucky for me Chad offered to get the liner out of the bed of his own truck to put into mine so I wouldn't have to make the trip without it. The price we got on the truck was fair, and I felt that the trade in I did with them was also very reasonable. I could not be happier with my truck and overall experience. read more

My dad retired from GM about 15 years ago, so we get his "employee discount." While we were shopping for the car we ended up buying (a 2014 Chevy Sonic RS, fully loaded - holy 35 mpg, batman), when I let the salesmen know that I would be getting the employee discount they were quite rude to me, to say the least. That was not the case here at Classic Chevrolet. Dale was who helped me out, and he had a million trophies that showed that he was great at what he does. He was kind and helpful throughout the process. Car buying is probably my least favorite thing to do, because I hate to haggle, but they were finally able to get our payment to where we wanted it after a little bit of back and forth. I'm super happy with my car so far, even though we've only had it for a little over a week, and I'd definitely head back if we ever buy a Chevy vehicle in the future. read more

My car stalled out on me in the middle of an ice storm, totally unrelated to ice, and Randy went out of his way to get my car towed when another dealership refused to and get me in a loaner while they fixed my car. The turn around was QUICK and he even made sure I got my oil changed and tires rotates because it was time. Plus a car wash! He treated me like my Dad would have which is the most I could ask for. The last time I bought a new vehicle was 14 years ago when we lived in Wisconsin. On 12/26/2015 my family and I bought a black/black 2016 Chevy Tahoe LT from Buzz Smith and Hank Gaylor at the Grapevine, Texas location. I have to say, both gentlemen have been wonderful. Hank was instrumental in putting the deal together for us and Buzz has been phenomenal with his knowledge and orientation of the vehicle, along with his willingness to accommodate my follow-up questions since leaving the dealership on Saturday. I'm a tough critic, but Hank and Buzz deserve the highest of praise. I trust both of them and feel they genuinely care that we are happy. For my wife and I and our family, this vehicle is the 2nd largest purchase we've ever made. Its a big deal. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!! My cars check engine light came on 2 days after getting the car. They said they fixed it then I drive off and it came back on on my way home. Went back and they said they couldn't do anything. Then my ac broke a week after getting the car. Got the Ac fixed abs Nissan of Mickey. 3 weeks later my ac broke AGAIN. AND 1 day after driving the car it had a flat tire. There was a rip in the tire. Have never had this many car issues. DONT BUY A CAR HERE!!! They also said my warranty did not cover any of this so I had to pay OUT OF POCKET!! read more

If you need the Service Dept, go somewhere else. You'll thank me later. In March of 2021, I needed a tire replaced. I had Road Hazard warranty, but Suzie, my Service Advisor, told me I didn't have Road hazard. I explained to her that I did, & she finally found it. Then she said this was my last one to use (you only get 4 replacements in 5 years). But I had actually only used 2, so I should have had one more than what she was seeing. After I spent a couple of days on the phone with her, Finance, & the warranty company, they finally realized they had made a mistake in their documentation when I had brought it in for my second replacement. Earlier this week, I got a nail in my tire. I called Classic to schedule an appt to replace it, and I asked to make sure that I had a warranty to cover it (tire is $375). She said I did. I dropped the tire off, but on my way home Yrenio, my Service Advisor, calls me & tells me out of warranty. I tried explaining the situation to him, but he could not help me. Over the next 3 days, I spoke to several different departments at Classic, explaining what had happened in March of 2021. Finally, they again realized their mistake. Today, I went to pick up my new tire. When my tire was brought to me, Yrenio rolled it to me & said, "Here you go," & walked off. No apology for the mix up. Nothing. I even had to load it into my car (which is not a huge deal, & should not be surprising with the lack of customer service this dept has). I love my Camaro, but I will not be dealing with Classic ever again bc of how bad their Service Dept is. Very disappointing. Do better Classic. read more

I just had a terrible experience with this dealership. I tried to get in line for a 2020 Corvettte and was (supposedly) placed on the "pre-waiting list" by one of the dealer's salespeople. I had my credit card information taken for a large deposit over 2 months ago. I thought I was safely in line. After the official launch of the car by GM on 7/18/19, I was told that they would be placing other "regular" customers of the dealership ahead of me in line. So much for trying to plan ahead. I had to scramble to find another dealer to help me out. My takeaway: If your have dealt with these guys before, then you may be treated well. I have no reason to say otherwise. If, however, you might be a new customer to Classic, don't expect to be given any priority or reasonable attention. read more

Scheduled a service appt with their site over the weekend and, without asking me when best day/time, it scheduled for 9:30 tues. ok. Think may be transmission shift issue or electrical, who knows. Gal calls me 6pm monday, night before, and says "yeah, our transmission department can't even look at it for 2 weeks". So, basically we're too busy to look at your car regardless of what the problem is. Needless to say, will call other Chevy dealers in the area in the morn to find a service location home for my new car. read more

This is a review of their Preowned Dept. Ron Mabry is my hero! I had been looking for a RAV4, but put off actually buying for several weeks because I just didn't want to deal with some smooth-talking used car salesman trying to swindle me. I hadn't ever bought from a dealership and I was NOT looking forward to the experience for that reason. I found a RAV4 online and thru their live chat, asked if it was still available. Ron answered, said it was, and asked if I'd like to see it. I told him yes, but I had to check my schedule--he said just to let him know when I would be on my way so he could check if it was still there. No pushy emails, no phone calls, nothing! Awesome. I decided to take a look after work that day and my dad (who knows much more about cars than I) met up with me there. Ron was friendly, polite, and never once treated me like just "another dumb woman looking at cars". He and my dad talked about growing up in Texas, too. :) Ron took me for a quick test drive and then let me and my dad look at the car ALONE! It was so great to be able to just check out the car at our pace without having to answer a bunch of questions about numbers and striking up a deal! I decided to start negotiating, which is what I was most anxious about. Not to worry--Ron gave me a VERY fair price for my trade-in and we agreed on a number in about 30 minutes, all WITHOUT him jumping up to go "talk to his manager" or bringing out little slips of paper with numbers on it. Even the finance department was awesome! I had already been preapproved, but wanted to see if they could beat the interest rate I'd been given. Dallas Durgin (who is HILARIOUS) ran some numbers (which couldn't beat my preapproval), and never once got pushy, fast-talking, or tried to sell me a bunch of add ons that I didn't need. We were finished in about 20 minutes. This was, hands-down, the best car buying experience ever. The whole thing took only a couple of hours, which includes the time I spent waiting on my dad to arrive--haha! I can't wait to pick up my car today! I plan on returning to this dealership for our next car purchase. Ron Mabry and Dallas Durgin are the BEST!! read more
