If I could go below 1 star for the service department, I would. After taking my truck in to fix a 4-wheel drive service alert, I found the same service alert remained on my dash. A local shop found a code relating to the 4-wheel drive on several GM vehicles over several year span. I independently found a GM service bulletin providing guidance to address a recurring 4-wheel drive issue across numerous trucks over multiple years, including mine. Classic minimized the GM bulletin and insisted they didn't miss anything despite driving my truck to check the brakes while the service alert shined from the dashboard. Their confidence is also curious because I have the email in which I told them about the service alert and they said the written service request I left with my truck was not available. They courteously told me that I would have to pay more money to let them hold my truck for over a month so they could "get to it." I will never use them for any purpose again. read more

This review is for the service department. I've been a handful of times and each time I go I feel ripped off. For example, I took my Chevy Tahoe in for an oil change and to see why my service light was going off. $274 later, my service light is still on and nothing was fixed. They even charged $15 to patch a tire, something that most other places do for free. $150 to diagnose the issue, which they really didn't. I was not told I would be charged this ahead of time. I am ashamed to say that it is not the first time they've done this to me. I am not sure why I keep going back to this place. Their reception area staff is very nice. My check engine light came on right before I was about to leave to drive to Austin to move my daughter. I take my Denali to Classic (my preference of dealership) and they tell me it will be 2-3 weeks to have the P0711 transmission error code fixed, and there are no loaner trucks available for 2-3 weeks. My truck is completely loaded with my daughter's things and she was already on the road to Austin. My husband calls Van Chevrolet and Vanguard GMC ... they both say they can have it fixed in 3-4 hours. My truck is now at Vanguard GMC being worked on so that I can get back on the road today. I was sent to another car lot on William D Tate to find the vehicle I wanted, once I found it, I was told to drive the vehicle while the salesperson drove their personal vehicle back to the car lot on 114. The price was high and I only had a certain amount to pay with a pre loan check. I offered to pay the rest in cash. I asked if the salesperson could ask the manager for a specific price, they said no, and I said humbly that I could not afford any more and thanks for the time and then the salesperson left. I was looking for a pre-owned Corvette not intending to buy but just viewing what was available. Engaged with the salesman and saw a beautiful 1995 low mileage Corvette. I asked about the mileage and he said 11k, I also noticed a large deep scratch above the driver side door that he said could be buffed out. I then asked about final pricing because I hate the salesman game they play and he brought me to his "director" that sits in a perch about three feet above the floor level so they can look down at you. I asked him why should I buy from you instead of Sewell, he thought awhile and said customer service. I thought lets see if they walk the walk. I knew they wouldn't come down on the pricing because of the market. After a day of thinking about it I called back and told him I would take it, he forwarded the invoice and noticed the actual mileage was 13600 not the 11k he told me. I asked about it and he basically pretended that he didn't know what I was talking about. He told me his finance guy would call me within the hour. Apparently this must be a very busy "pre-owned" dealership because I never received any call until the next day. He asked about financing and I told him I would pay in cash. The finance guy then sent over some maintenance packages I could look at. I selected two within two hours of receiving his email and waited for the final price. End of day comes and still no final price. I sent a note to the salesman informing him I have yet to get the final pricing (need time to get the cash) and he said he would send it shortly. End of day comes and I get the final pricing around 5pm, no follow-up call. Long story short, maybe I am old fashioned but I thought all night on how I was treated throughout this process. Only receiving information when they were ready and it was convenient for them. Discrepancy with the mileage and no explanation, if you make a mistake just say so but that silence spoke volumes. I truly can't say enough about him or Classic, all my trucks have been bought here and I have always been taken care of, my first vehicle was purchased in 2005 and latest 2015, since Vaughn has always taken care of me, however due to the pandemic and the dealership having to close for a bit I was forced to take my vehicle else where for the first time and although I've heard stories of how women are taken advantage of, never did I think I'd be one of them! It's a car dealer. Need I say more? Well in my opinion they are the most capable near me. Perfect? No. But it is what it is (they are an auto dealer/ commission/revenue driven). I have rarely had a stellar experience with any visit to their service department. At least 75 percent of the time they either failed to either complete all of the items I brought my vehicle in for or they did not have my vehicle ready when promised. A thorough review of the service order/ completeness check is a sad item for me to have to perpetually scold them on. 50 percent of the time my auto was not washed as promised. The service advisers I have experienced are somewhat immature and novice. Friendly yes, but again immature and novice. *As a contrast another very large very well known/respected family owned GM/ Cadillac store has the owners grandson employed as the service advisor. That store "gets it." I suggest a mystery "shopper" visits the service department/drop off/ pick up line - and critique the entire process on a very regular basis. It is pretty clear this is not being done. The physical store aesthetically is polished to the hilt. Their service department is not. I would however make another purchase from them and will continue to have my auto serviced there. read more

You would have thought I stabbed him in the back or something! He basically told me he couldn't help me unless I was ready to buy that day due to turn over of the vehicles. At the very least I would have expected a long explanation and his card and a firm hand shake, but instead a proverbial boot out the door and "come back when you have money to spend" feeling. Worked with Alex Rivera, he took $1000 deposit (plus $30 fee lmao) for a new Chevy Colorado and just lied about when the vehicle would be coming in, which never showed up. I considered getting a used ZR2 that had a "172 Point Inspection" performed and when I show up the dash looks like a Christmas tree with check engine and system caution lights. They didn't even do the inspection. Went to go get a refund on my deposit and they lied about that too. Still haven't gotten my refund. First time car was said to be completed it was not. Had to escalate my concerns to the manager, whom then said would get the issues taken care of. Get a call the car is ready yesterday and on the way to pick up the car at 7am, we get a call that the car is not ready to go and would be a few more hours. I brought in my truck to get the first service done. When I pulled in about 8:45AM I waited a minute or two and a service agent came out, took my keys and wrote down my name and phone number. He said it would take about an hour and a half for the service to be done and he would call me when it was ready. I left and after not hearing back at 12:20PM I called and the service department receptionist said the truck was ready. I asked why nobody called me and she said it was just finished a couple of minutes before. That seems awfully coincidental. So I return to the dealership and they were closing the cashier desk. Nobody had told me they were closing at 12:00PM. The cashier was not able to find my info in their system. I told them who my service advisor was and they went to his desk to find my non-existent paperwork. They entered the basic info into the computer but then they didn't know where my tuck was. They had to call the service advisor on his personal cell phone to find out where the truck was. It turns out they parked my truck UNLOCKED out on the front of the service department parking lot WITH THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION. I was disappointed in my overall experience and disappointed that is how they chose to care for a customer's personal property. read more

I recently took my chevy silverado to grapevine for a blinking check engine light. My service adviser (Y.C.) says that there was a line of people, but they would evaluate the problem in 3-4 business days. After a week of waiting (with no loaner vehicle) with no communication or update after multiple times of me calling and no returned calls, I contacted the service manager who was then able to have the service advisor finally call me to providd an update. His update was I would need to wait 3-4 weeks until my truck saw a shop due to me being 27th in line, which I previously had no knowledge of. After I confronted him about not giving me any updates, he asked if I would like to receive an update everyday going forward (sarcastically). I let him know I would get my truck in the morning and take it to another chevy dealership. He made sure to tell me to do my research before I take it elsewhere causing myself further dissatisfaction and then end up bringing it back to him to move further back down the line. I took my vehicle to another local chevy dealership, had an update the same day, and currently have it back in my care as of less then a week. I do not recommend there servicing department for anything due to there lack of communication and poor customer service. read more

1. Ordered a new fairly loaded 2023 RS V6 AWD Blazer. They don't charge more than msrp (except for the extra $800 they tack on to tint the windows). I told them I wanted to upgrade to good tint but they tinted them with whatever anyway. Left flakey/glittery stuff all in the interior also. 2. Paid $1000 some odd dollars for optional gloss black 21" wheels. Apparently since I was only able to see 2022 models while ordering, I didn't know I was paying for super ugly 2023 black and silver wheels. When car showed up I said those are the wrong wheels. Said they'd make it right by ordering the right wheels. Four months later I called to see what's up with the wheels and now it's "we meant we'd give you a $600 credit for your super expensive ugly wheels and charge you $4800 for the wheels you were supposed to get and we didn't say we'd ordered them (two of us apparently totally misunderstood this guy - or it's just normal care salesman behavior). Wow I should have gotten that in writing or walked, I'm old enough to know better. 3. Bought an extended warranty in exchange for lower interest rate. DID NOT GET THE LOWER INTEREST RATE - I was notified of this WEEKS after purchasing! I have absolutely no use for an extended warranty on a brand new car and would not have purchased otherwise. 4. Salesman had me sign up for this and that. Should have paid more attention. Been getting spam calls and emails about satellite radio, car wifi (who needs this, you have a mobile phone right?), onstar (again, who uses this), whatever. Just annoying. I loathe car dealerships in general but this place really takes the cake. Two buyers with a large down payment and both over 800 credit scores, super easy sale, they still could not resist screwing it up. The car itself is lackluster given the price (over 56k). Lacks a lot of features my 2015 Honda has. Last GM I will ever purchase and obviously am done with Classic. Should have just payed the extra for the MDX. TLDR; they're just as bad as any other dealership, zero integrity here. Make sure you get what you want up front or walk immediately. Looking forward to more manufacturers going to direct sales and obsoleting useless car dealerships that do nothing other than increase the price for the consumer. UPDATE 1 - Dorian the sales manager left a voice message for me regarding this review. I called him back and left a voice message, never heard back. UPDATE 2 - The salesperson Chris (McConnell) also left a voice message at some point offering to powder coat the wheels for a discounted price of $650. Last I checked this is about what you'd pay directly to a professional powder coater. Recap I already paid $1000 for optional wheels, did not receive the wheels I was shown when ordering, now they want me to pay another $650 to make the ugly wheels a different color. Spoke to 3 different people over the past week about car repairs - One said we could pay by credit card no problem even if it the card on file isn't the same as owner of vehicle (happens all the time with family and friends helping each other out). One said the credit card has to match the name on title and if not, has to be cash or money order, which is just ridiculous! Not everyone has thousands of dollars of cash on hand. The other person said they don't know why it would matter either way and had never heard of this policy. Basically moved forward with the process trusting what the first person told us was accurate and now they are adamant we have to pay by cash?! This place is a mess and would give 0 stars if I could. Despite being a young individual, no questions were asked about affordability and I was treated with seriousness from the start. The thing that stood out most to me about the process was that after initially driving a Camaro 2SS 1LE on the lot, both PJ and Hailey helped me seamlessly build the exact Camaro I was looking for. They not only quoted me favorable delivery vs. other dealerships, but also stood by their word. My service experience was very good as far as the speed and professionalism shown by my service advisor Vaughn. If that was where things ended, I would be writing a glowing 5 star review. But, as with many things, they change when dealing with money. I received my credit card charge and realized that I was charged an amount more than what my receipt was for. After talking to my service advisor, he said that they add a charge onto credit card transactions to cover the credit card fee that they receive from the credit card companies. This 3% fee was not disclosed to me at the time I paid. This fee was not disclosed at any time during my interaction with Classic Chevrolet. This is not the way to conduct business. I chose Classic because it is close by my neighborhood and I was very impressed by the actual service I received. But, I will more than likely NOT be back and I will advise anyone that will listen to me to NOT take any business to Classic Chevrolet or to NOT buy a vehicle from Classic Chevrolet. I called Classic and they got me in touch with James Pickle. He had someone go get my daughters car and leave her a great rental. He went above and beyond with fixing the problem and taking care of all the issues including having it cleaned and full tank. Had it delivered back to her and kept me constantly updated. He tried saying it will not affect alignment, Come on, if you are removing suspension components it will through the alignment off. You can see the rear wheel is off. Ask any of your technicians!
