I came to Clark for help with a rodent issue. Unfortunately I caught a rodent in my house without any help of their efforts. What I can say about Clark is this : My tech is honest. Because I live In a town home with shared walls he said the problem needs to be addressed by the homeowners in the same building. I'm not exactly happy that he can't do exclusion work on my home just because he can't do it on the other homes. He is always on time. I've read all these horrible reviews about technician showing up two hours late. Fortunately with my technician Mike that is not the case. I signed up for peace of mind service. So far I've only had to call him out once in between regular services and that is when I caught the rodent. It has been two months since I have signed up for their service. They address any other issues that I have which is nice also. When going with smaller companies you have to pay per pest problem. So all in all I have to say with Clark the customer service has been great. However I'm not so happy about the inability for them to do exclusion service work. I can only tell my story. I don't have an account with CPC. I am a neighbor of a client who is serviced by this particular Clarks. It freaks me out when I see them coming, I am a cancer survivor and i always wonder about the chemicals. The Technician, his name is Jim Holzkamm, not only explained the chemicals and gave me literature stating the makeup of the spray they use, he now comes and knocks on my door so i can close my windows. When I am not home he leaves me notes as when he is coming back. Have you ever heard of such wonderment? Well lately I haven't experience such kindness, customer service, compassion. Our landlord has used Clarks for years, and when my current household moved in, we discovered a pest problem of the furry variety (mainly nesting in neighbors' blackberry bushes). We also had a lot of questions for Clark's since we garden and were concerned about the chemicals being used to deal with ants and spiders outdoors. Our Clark's service person Alex has consistently been polite and friendly, has cheerfully answered our numerous questions, and worked with us to adjust his house and yard treatments as we added more veggies and landscaping. He's always open and willing to share information, and is extremely responsible about making sure his co-workers know what's going on with our account and yard specifics in case he's out during service calls to our house. He and another co-worker even made additional unscheduled visits when we had pest problems re-occur. Great, friendly service and excellent communication from this company! read more

I really liked my Clark Pest Control service. They arrive during the time window they give me and if they are late they call and let me know. My technician is always courteous and answers any question I have. When I call the office to setup an additional appointment it's done quickly and without any issues. If people read these to make a decision about signing up then let me give you a little information run down. It's called CONTROL...not total elimination...it's right in the company's name. So lets start with CODY F. So what story should we believe that they do nothing or the spiders come back "in a few hours"? It was explained to me that spiders are one of the most difficult pest to control due to the spiders nature and during certain times of the year when they are most active that i would see them return in a short period of time. Also if you live by water or a wooded\undeveloped area you will see more activity. My technician informs me to call to setup an appointment if it gets crazy...I do they come out, even on Saturdays to take care of the problems. I was having a party one weekend and they came out the day before to make sure everything was looking for my guests. They also do interior treatment for spiders, but if you don't tell them...how are they suppose to know...i don't think they read minds. Also from the way you wrote your review you aren't a nice person to deal with on the phone or in person...just saying. As for CLIFF O. I had an Argentine ant issue a few years back...the technician came out did a treatment and told me that he may have to come back for another treatment to ensure that all the nest were destroyed. I was told that it may take several days for the issue to go away and might see even more ants after the treatment as the nests will be disturbed. He also took me around my property to show me the things that I NEEDED to fix, like raising my potted plants off the ground, to keep a space between my foundation and plants. so when they need to treat they can do a better application He also informed me that Argentine ants are all over this area and when they invade your property or house they show up in huge numbers. There were also huge trails coming from the left side fence from my neighbors...not his fault and understand he can't treat the neighbor. So do the things your suppose to do, even I understand that some of the responsibility for pest control is on me! GUESS W. They only service the inside if your REQUEST it...they don't just kick in your front door and start treatments. Most treatments are for something specific so they have to find something first. What type of roof tile do you have? Concrete or Terra Cot ta is the worst as there are spaces for nests deep inside the tile itself. My technician informed me there is a difference between nesting and foraging for food. I get wasp nests and my technician treats and removes them and on a few occasions he missed them but a quick phone call brought him out the next day, i pointed it out and problem solved...as for your BLACK WINDOWS...i don't think Clark cleans windows. And yes I do let them use my water to treat my property! Why wouldn't I, I guess you feel they should use other peoples water to treat your property...NEWS FLASH...even if they fill up there tanks, 50 to 55 gallon, I asked them once, it a whole 50 cents. I also got the email about a change in product but after a little research, they changed their PRIMARY product, but still use the GOOD stuff when they need to just in the area that need it...and if you bothered to look it up you would have know that to. Looked at your other YELPS to...your just a complainer. The bottom line is I have very few pest issues and when I do I call for an appointment, and unlike some who can only be seen on a certain time of day when the moon is at a certain location next to Mars and Jupiter, they come out and take care of it. A few times my tech was busy so they sent out a supervisor. Too many people think just cause they have pest control that they can just sit around and do nothing and have perfect results and if not talk down to the technician, supervisor or secretary when they call for an appointment because its an emergency because THEY waited too long to call and there are ants or spiders everywhere. Do the things they ask you to do, like clean or trim bushes or what ever, Call when the issue is small and not when its out of control, and if you do wait don't be an ass to whose trying to help you...you will get better results(that you GUESS W) And if they don't do a good service QUIT!!! Don't stay on service from 2004-2006 and not get any results and then complain...that's your fault! read more

So with me, you usually get five stars or one star (which really means I was wanted to give zero stars). If I get moved to write a review, its because I am passionate about the service I received or did not receive. Clark gets 5 stars, which surprised me because of how big the company is. Usually with big companies, the customer gets lost somewhere. Not the case with Clark. My neighbor (and good friend) was having this crazy spider problem. It was bad and she's super afraid of spiders... Not good. She called, " Clarkkkkkkkk, We need you!" and bam spider problem solved. Her pest conrtol guy - I think his name is Ray or Rain???- is amazing. We met him outside and he actually took the time to explain what he was doing and his application procedure. We were worried about using pesticides around the dog and the baby but he put our fears to rest! What an eloquent and thoughtful service man he is! A very good representation for a stellar company. I signed up with Clark for one year contract. They were good in the beginning with a good knowledgable tech. Then after 6 months they changed him to a different one and each visit is different tech and they were all horrible. They don't know what is going on with the house. Then I find out at the end of my contract that it will renew by it self if you don't cancel it at one year. They don't tell that when you sign up but it's on your contract and they charged me extra money of course. Be careful guys . I will never sign up again with them. Very bad company read more

Seems as if overnight I had a rat problem in my Oakland house. The rodents were wrecking havoc in my attic and I was having nightmares about fraying electric wires and other damage. I called 5 -7 companies and was horrified at how expensive it is to pay a "rat expert" to handle the problem. But after setting traps and bait and having no luck whatsoever for weeks I had to do it. While Clark's price was equally high $450 -- they came up with a payment plan that spanned over many months. If I didn't see them catching rats I would be able to challenge the payment, I thought in my mind. Well they did catch a few of the critters over a few visits. Also the Clark guy sealed up some of the holes. After 9 months our house is rat free. They provide some sort of warranty and they also offered me a free termite inspection. I took them up on that and they pointed out a dry rot problem I already know needs to be addressed. Overall they've earned my trust. read more

Strange and unknown black spider found in my home. Have small children, so wanted to ensure it wasn't dangerous, as we have many Black Widows in our neighborhood. Called Clark and asked if our regular serviceman, Ryan, happened to be in the area. He was, and was on my doorstep in less than 10 minutes. Everyone don't ever hire these guys, they lie and say you have problems when you don't. there sales manager Mark , pressures them to make the sale cuz if they don't it goes against them. they tell you it's just 6 payments every two months when it's seven. they say the rate is higher than it should be they can do 87$ to start and 87$ alt month so they lie. tell them you want other companies to come, and watch how they slander them. if you ever want OUT of the CONTRACT just tell them your moving out of STATE and your good cuz there not nation wide. oh yah and there's a guy you talk to on the phone Terry Wilson he'll try to give you problems if he does just call the corporate,cuz he all ways get complaints it's amazing how they keep people like this.bad business and management don't forget if you did hire them to watch them cuz there only there for five minutes. and they never spray the eves are dust the webs. read more
