I always love a good high tea/ afternoon tea? (I don't know I get the two confused all the time.) Anyways, this place is wonderful. We enjoyed a cozy spot for two by a window. Service was great. And the food was delightful. The tea is $26 and there are only two seating times. We started off with one warm scone each that came with spreads. Then 3 savories and 3 sandwiches. Just cute finger foods. Finally we ended with 3 petite desserts. I was meh, about the desserts, but everything else was good. Oh, and we also got our own little pot of tea that we could get refills on. The menu changes so check their social media for what is current. They offer the proper tea and some al a carte items like soup, sandwiches, and quiche. This place was filled with guests so make sure you call in advance to set up a reservation. we parked on the street for free right in front of the house.

What a charming, lovely little place. Located in what appears to be a house in a residential area, this tea house has a great variety of teas. The proper tea is comparable to what I've had in the UK. I'm told that the menu changes seasonally but their signature ribbon sandwich (which is a part if the proper tea and lunch menus) is comforting and delicious. The child's entrees are also beautiful (pictured). The service is always great. My only complaint is there isn't enough Devonshire cream served with the scones and asking for more is an extra charge. This just a great place to go and have a leisurely lunch with friends.

The food, service, ambiance was AMAZING! This was a great place to get to get away and enjoy a nice day out.

    unique and cute table setting

Drove an hour from Ann Arbor for Clara J's and it did not disappoint! Our whole experience was amazing. Three of us got the proper tea which came with so much food we were stuffed! All so delicious...especially the scones we started out with. The ambiance is so cute and quaint, it makes you feel like you're in a whole other world. The owner was so friendly and her dad plays the piano in the main room filling the air with beautiful music and some great Disney classics. I will most definitely be returning.

Clara Js is always a wonderful experience! I have been going here for years. The proper tea is our favorite! The tea selection is enormous. My daughter (who is 8 but has been going here since she was born) loves it here too!

Was it worth $11.29 for a small smoked turkey breast sandwich and mac & cheese meal? Honestly…read more.. no. I originally stopped in thinking this might be more of a coffee shop so I could grab a snack and coffee while pumping gas--kill two birds with one stone. From the outside--and even inside--it's aesthetically appealing and looks like a great spot. But the experience didn't quite match that first impression. The food itself didn't hit the mark in the taste factor--nothing terrible, just not memorable or worth the price in my opinion. That said, I'm open to trying other menu items because maybe I just didn't order the right thing. Customer service was pretty average--nothing to complain about, but nothing that stood out either. Overall, it didn't hit the mark this time, but I'd consider giving it another shot.

Been here recently/last year three times, which has a refreshed look compared to the past. They have a variety of options with hot deli style sandwiches as a base, but have soups/salads as well as calzones, pizza, and flatbreads. If you have a sweet tooth, Cinnabon products are available as well as cookies and brownies. Breakfast is also available with breakfast sandwiches, burritos and tacos. The food quality is pretty good and a nice option to standards like McDonald's and Arbys etc. Cost seems higher for what it is, but to be fair in the past year (2025-2026) prices seem to be soaring due to tariffs and other economic issues. Food quality is not bad, but not a stand out either. Soups seem to be one of the better options. Service seems so so for friendliness as well as speed. The environment is OK, again not a standout. New look but has an "Empty Sterile" nervous vibe. Overall, OK especially if you need a break from the standard fast food chains noting the prices for McDonald's and others has skyrocketed and service and over all experience has been on the decline, putting Schlotzskys well positioned for fast food. Managing my bias here as I almost never eat fast food unless there is a need such as short on time or thats all thats available. Go ahead, worth a try if you are in the market for fast food and tired of the typical places.

In South Toledo at the corner of Rugby and S Detroit, lies the family owned and operated SOD. (Drive south on Rugby from Glanzman...one way street). MEAT AND POTATOES: The sandwiches are awesome. AWESOME I SAID! Although the secret ingredient may actually be love, these sammies seem to be crafted with the freshest and tastiest ingredients known to man. I'm serious. Expensive they are, but that's ok, because each sandwich (and "free" bag of chips) will probably come pretty close to filling you up. With that in mind, 14 bucks for an excellent MEAL doesn't sound so bad. To be honest, the Greek salad is not the best in town...but Greek salad isn't really the focus of a place like this, now is it. The atmosphere is friendly, comfortable, and clean. It's not fancy...it's a deli, after all. Order and pay at the counter, receive your meal, then either sit down and eat, or carry out. The people taking care of you are the owner and her kids. They're very friendly...and fast...and efficient. I must say, I'm really surprised there are (relatively) few reviews for Smokin' Olive Deli. If this place were in downtown Sylvania or downtown Perrysburg, or even in Cricket West, I'll bet there would be 100+ five star reviews! But since that's not the case, I'd whole hearted recommend that you truck on down to SoTol and show some love to SOD...in return, they'll show some serious love to your taste buds! 5 STARS!
