Given that the failure was determined to be a warranty-covered defect, I do not believe I should be responsible for the diagnostic service charge. I purchased this hot tub with the expectation that warranty-covered failures would be handled without imposing significant out-of-pocket costs simply to confirm a defective component. Charging customers a substantial service fee to diagnose and validate a warranty claim undermines the value of the warranty itself. I respectfully request reimbursement of the $249.00 service fee, or an explanation of why this charge is not covered when the repair has been confirmed as a valid warranty claim.
