We had such a great experience getting my daughter's ears pierced here! The young man who helped us was so kind, gentle, patient, and respectful, and he made my daughter feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. We had such a great experience getting my daughter's ears pierced here! The young man who helped us was so kind, gentle, patient, and respectful with her. Before piercing, he let my daughter see exactly where the earrings would go. We asked for them to be placed a little farther back because she didn't want them too high, and he listened to our instructions while also giving helpful suggestions. He was especially great with her because she had a lot of questions and took her time deciding which earrings she wanted. It was also her birthday, so we let her pick her own earrings. She even received a scratch-off coupon and won 20% off her next purchase, which was such a fun surprise! He did an excellent job explaining how to care for her new piercings and prevent infection, and the cleaning solution was included with the purchase. We paid under $65 for the earrings and piercing, although there were both cheaper and more expensive options available. Overall, we were really happy with the experience. My daughter felt comfortable the entire time, and that meant everything to me. Highly recommend! read more

I interviewed at this location on February 27th around 1:40-2:00 PM with the store manager. The interview was conducted outside the store and ended within minutes. At the very beginning of the conversation, I was asked about my availability. I explained that I am available Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 2 PM through closing because I attend church in the mornings. I also shared that I can work opening shifts on Fridays but would need to leave after 6 PM for Bible study. Almost immediately after clarifying that my Sunday mornings and Friday nights were connected to my faith, I was told they are looking for someone with completely open availability who can "make this job their whole entire life." I was then told, "this isn't going to work, so why don't we end it here?" The interview was over before it even started. What stood out was being told that school-related scheduling needs are considered, but faith-based commitments were not viewed the same way. Hearing that school-related commitments are accommodated but faith-based ones are not leaves an unsettling impression. Whether someone's availability is shaped by school or by church, it should not determine whether they are given the opportunity to be evaluated on their experience. Despite offering availability five days a week and bringing 10 years of experience in customer service, sales, and fast-paced environments, I was not asked a single question about my qualifications or skills before the conversation was cut short. Applicants deserve to be evaluated on their abilities and experience. Although uncomfortable, I remained polite and kept the conversation cordial to avoid unnecessary tension or escalation, not because the situation felt appropriate. Ending an interview before even discussing someone's experience immediately after they disclose faith-based commitments speaks for itself. California and federal law generally require employers to provide reasonable accommodation for sincerely held religious beliefs unless doing so would create an undue hardship. I hope this location carefully reviews how it handles conversations about religious availability moving forward. I also hope the company reviews its policies to ensure they align with state and federal employment protections. Applicants whose schedules revolve around school commitments may not encounter this issue as vocalized to me personally. But applicants who value their faith may want to ask very clear questions about how such scheduling requests are viewed before investing any time in their interview process. Overall, this experience was deeply disheartening, and based on it, I personally would not consider working for or shopping at this company again. read more

My friend arranged to have her 6 year old daughter's birthday party here recently and I thought it was just the cutest thing!! Each invitee got a $20 gift card to use toward anything in the store, and every purchase made that day also got 20% off! It was a great deal and my two dusghters LOVED it. They had us come before the mall opened, so all the little ones got to really enjoy having the store to themselves. The staff members working were so sweet, patient and helpful to our littles. They also were allowed to get their makeup done which included gems next to their eyes, sparkle hair spray and hair gems! I thought it was such a great idea for a girly girl who loves to shop or accessorize! After that we went to Red Robin for lunch, which is literally right across the way in the mall, so it was such a perfect birthday party. I highly recommend! read more

The older guy working is very rude. Does not provide good customer service at all. Won't be shopping here anymore. According to other reviews, he is a known problem yet they still keep him around. read more

This specific branch of Claire's is worth your visit as it has the usual good Claire's deal but also has an amazing piercer - she has a real eye for placement. It will be done with a piercing gun but placement is everything. read more

Thank you Desirae. I walked into this well organized, clean and friendly store with my teenage son who wanted his ears pierced for first time we were greeted my Desirae and another associate. We didn't have an appointment for piercing. Desirae sat my son down and very patiently explained the care and process of piercing. She showed us the piercing option She made sure that we both approved of the piercing holes before making them. Desirae was great! Thank you for your patience and very friendly personality read more

The ladies here are great, especially Raquel. I like a good deal and they often have sales and clearance events for the frugally minded like me. There are lots of items to choose from and plenty of parking. If you're looking for a gift, this is a great place to look! read more

One of my best friends and I went into Claire's to get some piercings. Not only was the store extremely clean but was well stocked with so many different choices of all different kinds of merchandise it was so hard to choose from. The setup and organizational placement of everything made it extremely pleasurable to shop! The staff were phenomenal! Desirae greeted us upon entering the store and Val checked us out. Both of which were extremely friendly. Desirae was absolutely fantastic! She did both of our piercings and did a fantastic job! She was extremely knowledgeable and helped both of us with choosing the best type of earring and placement. She was super professional as well and an absolute delight! The ear piercing station was very clean and she made sure to practice the proper sanitization procedures! She was quick and her precision was on point! We both highly recommend visiting this store and getting your ears pierced by Desirae as you won't be disappointed! We definitely plan on going back to get some more piercings here in the near future! Thank you Desirae, Val and Claire's for the phenomenal experience and services received! read more

Desirae was so good! My daughter had to have her ear pierced and she was so gentle with her. My daughter didn't cry or flinch. The whole process was quick and easy. Definitely recommend going with Desirae to get pierced! read more

Desiree was great, she had a lot of patience with my family and I. In total she pierced three individuals in my group, and did not rush our party at all. I was so nervous to get my second set of earlobe piercings. Claires has an awesome selection of piercings that also came with the solution, you could get a rapid solution for $10 extra that will cut the cleaning process down to three weeks! She first marked my ear, let me see it, and quickly pierced it. I thought it would be painful but it was a light pinch! I then decided well since this wasn't to bad lets do the cartilage, she did the same process as before and this time I asked her to choose where she thought it would look best! One thing she did recommend is that I do not go over 3mm size so I did 2mm. Safe to say, where she placed the piercing I have already received tons of compliments. I plan to visit Desiree again at this location for more ear piercings!! read more

My 10 year old has been wanting to get her ears pierced for awhile but always chickened out. We talked about it and she would always claim that she's not ready. She finally mustered enough courage and was finally ready. I called Claire's to get information and all sounded great. No appointments needed. Just come and hope that they're not too busy. We went on a weekend and the wait wasn't too bad at all. She choose her bday studs and we had 2 people do it at the same time. I think it was Elizabeth who spent the most time with us, looking at her ears, putting a spot on her lobe to make sure it's balanced on both sides. We asked for 2 people to do it at the same time to lessen the fear factor. Dexi came over and it was done quickly. They went through the after care details carefully with us. I recommend Claire's for ear piercings! A huge thanks to Elizabeth and Dexi! read more

Even though the store was very busy the two sales associates were so patient with him and explained everything. It was an overall great experience. I would highly recommend this store. read more

This is the letter I wrote to corporate. I just wanted to comment on the great customer service I received today in your Claire's Sunvalley mall store. The girls working there were very approachable and friendly. It's hard these days to find store associates who will actually make you want to shop in their store. These girls were not snobby, they made conversations with customers and even commented on how they liked the necklace I was wearing. It was a pleasant change from the rest of the stores in the mall. Please let the girls know they're doing great and we can't wait to shop at Claire's again! read more

The manager is generally okay, but was rude the one time I came without my mom, I guess because a young woman of color is automatically a troublemaker. I'm 24 and should be allowed to shop for myself. read more

Horrible. Wasnt greeted when i walked in. Cashier looking @ us up & down then proceeds to follow us around the little store. Everything we touched he's behind us "fixing" & "rearranging" stuff. He said something smart listening to our convo about the store. Him & my friend start arguing. I had to tell my friend to just leave it alone and walk her out, because non of the other employees tried to help or diffuse the situation. A man arguing with a woman isn't cool then to argue with a woman @ your job isn't professional @ all. What happened to the customer is always right?? I wont be spending any of my hard earned $ there. If i shop @ any claires it definitely WONT be that 1!! read more

Every time I come to this store with my 2 daughters the fat Chinese lady or the short feminine Spanish guy who always wears a hat stares at me.....I mean stare me down. Staring at me like I wanna steal that cheap crap. They seem to only do it to black customers. Like it never fails. Oh and they always pretend to stock the shelves very close to where I'm standing. After writing this review I called the store and one of the Managers was Raul. He said I'm sorry you feel that way. I said it's not how I feel, it's the truth. read more

When she turned eleven, my little girl got to choose whether or not she'd like her ears pierced. She did, of course, and picked out a pair of aquamarine crystal studs, the whole while with a grin the size of Oklahoma. The woman who pierced her tiny ears was amazingly sweet, gentle, and took extra care to make sure the piercings were positioned perfectly. And so starts what I'm thinking will be my girl's long journey of body modification. read more

I got my ears pierced yesterday by Dexie. She's awesome! I was so nervous since these are my first piercings ever. She let me take my time to decide and guided me through the process. She carefully checked and marked where she would do the piercings. I was given a chance to look at them before she proceeded to piercing my ears. To my surprise, it was barely painful! Felt like I was getting a flu shot. :) So far, no pain or inflammation. Thanks again, Dexie! I highly recommend getting piercings done by her! read more

Claire's has everything! Although it's a great place for little kids, you can also find all your 'current-holiday' themed stuff here. I always get cute stuff to accessorize my scrubs for work. Lots of adorable and fun headbands, beads, bracelets, necklaces, etc. for whatever holiday is coming up. They always have awesome deals too (buy 3, get 3...you can't beat that). The store is always clean and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Specifically, the associate that assisted me during my most recent visit was Amber and she's amazing! She is truly down to earth and so friendly. She really knows her stuff and was able to answer every question I had. Definitely will be back...St. Patrick's Day is coming up! woo hoo! read more

Omg I'm sad I didn't get her name, she pierced my older daughter who was 5 months at the time and she did such a good job and she was so sweet. Last month I went back to get my other daughters who was 7 months old, ears pierced hoping the same girl would be there to do it again and yesss she was. Again she was very good, both girls' ears are even and healed perfectly!! I will def recommend but sad I forgot her name read more

They messed up my earrings I said and pointed at the size I wanted and they still messed it up, it hurt a lot and weren't thorough

I truly do not recommend anyone to go in to get a piercing. Me and my cousin went to get our second Earring, The guy that did it for us was nice but I felt like he didn't know what he was doing, he did our earrings very Crooked and had one earring very close to my other one and on the other ear it was the biggest gap on this planet‍‍ I highly suggest to go somewhere where they take their "TIME"! read more

I ordered my earrings online they were much much cheaper. $6 bucks as oppose to $25 in the store. I was so excited and looking forward. The order was made through ups shipment services that is what Claire's notified me. I was notified that the earrings will arrive July 6th. But then time pass and earrings didn't arrive. I looked and kept checking the online shipping status. All of a sudden it said that ups has given my order from Claire's to usps. I called directly to usps and even went directly to several locations and at both times I was told they were not able to locate my order. I even spoke to ups and they told me that they can't locate my order. I am very disappointed. I Love Claire's but this is truly upsetting because I was so happy that I found what I couldn't find in stores and that the Claire's company lets me know that ups will deliver but to only complicate things they give to usps and usps has no way to locate. I called claires customer service told them my situation and asked for remedy of this missing order, to which they did confirm. The customer service representative said they can only issue a fund's return. I asked if they can resend the order and not charge me as a courtesy from company, he checked with his management and they said they are not able to do that. Will not buy from this company ever again especially online. Bad customer service, if I could give a 0 rating I would. read more

Did you know Claire's does birthday parties? They do and it was super fun! I planned ahead and the manager, Brenda, was wonderful. We had six girls for a party and Brenda made "crazy hair" goody bags for them all ready an hour before the mall opened so the girls had the store all to themselves. Brenda and her helpers had activities planned and games and they had a blast! I gave her a price range and she stuck to it. My daughter got her ears pierced at the end of the party and everything was terrific. Great price for everything. Brenda and her helper did everything...I got to sit back and enjoy watching y daughter have fun with her friends. The ONLY reason I didn't do 5 stars on my review was because it was really hot in the store...we were all sweating. But that was not the fault of management. After the party we went back to shop and it was still super hot in the store. The owners would do better if they would get some A/C in there because I know I would have let my kids browse longer had it not been so hot! Thank you Brenda! read more

The two assistant managers were so kind and patient with 6 year old daughter getting her ears pierced for the first time , very friendly.

Review is for visit on a Sunday Aug 27. Management please switch staff. I can not believe the rudeness we experienced last night. Mall closes at 7pm-- we enter the store at 6:40pm. Young thicker asian woman looked up at me-- no greet. I work in customer service so I smiled at her and said Hello. She said we close in 5 mins. I turned away and told my aunt to please hurry. Once we had decided I realize this woman standing behind us as she stayed 2 mins. Excuse me? I'm not sure why you are closing at 6:45 no problem. I heard you the first time-- but this is not how you treat customers. I walked out and walked to icing.. Where I shopped with 3 other customers until 6:55. Never again while she works there will I visit read more

Very disappointed with the service. I received the piercing and they were lopsided. One was much further up then the other. I was highly disappointed, but the woman working there told me I could get them redone for free after I took out the earrings and let them close up. I came back a few days later and they told me I couldn't get them redone without having to pay another SIXTY DOLLARS for them to be redone. So I told them what my piercer told me and they said she didn't work there anymore! After the span of a couple days?? So frustrated. DO NOT COME HERE FOR EAR PIERCINGS. read more

Called at 12:22 pm on 07/13/20 to book an appointment for the next available slot. Employee over the phone says same day at 5 pm is open so we accept. I show up at 04:55 pm and to my surprise the store is closed with the lights off. In denial i called and waited 5 minutes on the phone listening to it ring with no answer. Pretty shitty to waste gas and time to come out here I would have understood if they called Earlier and let me know they would need to cancel I would have just rescheduled but not even the decency to inform me they would be off early or cancel the appointment especially since they offered it as day at 5pm. Online it says they close at 6 pm. I'm super pissed off because there was no call or anything basically booked me an appointment for a waste of time. I highly suggest everyone to avoid this place super unprofessional. I booked an appointment for a general ear piercing. This is my first negative review of any establishment ever. Take this with a grain of salt. read more
