I have shopped at WHBM for years because of their stylish, quality clothing and their great…read morecustomer service. This used to be my favorite store. Until today. This evening was not a good experience and I was very disappointed. Upon entering the Coconut Point store in Estero Florida, I was not greeted even though there were no other customers in the store. There were two women working there. One appeared to be texting on her phone. In the past, when I picked out clothing, the sales associate would put them in a fitting room with my name on it. Not today. I carried all the clothes around the store until I was ready to try them on. In the past, the sales people would check on me and offer to find things in different sizes or offer suggestions on what accessories would go with the clothes. Not today. My husband went out and found things in different sizes for me, while the sales people watched him, or texted. When I was ready to purchase, my husband asked if we could get some customer service for a change. One woman ignored us and the other responded that she didn't know we needed any customer service. I guess it's not in her job description to ask if we needed any help. Then she proceeded to ring up the merchandise. She was pleasant enough, but I would have received more help at Macy's. Their service has gone downhill and I'm not a happy customer. I'm giving two stars because the clothes are still nice, but their customer service is more than lacking.

I need to up my game when it comes to prepping and cooking. I went through everything they had to offer. I was half tempted to buy several items, but I brough myself back to my senses because I knew now was not the time to do so. Although, I'm kicking myself over this, because I doubt I will what I saw at the same price any time soon. I mulled over a few items, picked them up and walked around with them. They are…read moreconsistent in what you will experience. 1) scent: really have I experienced that thrift store smell whenever I go into a 2nd Ave. thrift store. This one is the same. So they get four stars for that. 2) selection: the store was well stocked, and I found a few things I was looking for and a few things I wasn't but realize I needed 3) size: I called is a superstore, but compared to the store tomorrow it's about half the size. It wasn't as small as some of the Goodwills but I don't know that I would call it a superstore. 4) prices: as 2nd Ave. always does. There are two colors that were 50% off so if you can find those you'll get some great deals. Otherwise the prices were decent. It seems as though many thrift stores have raised their prices, but I wouldn't say the prices were outrageous or unreasonable. 5) location: it was relatively easy to find, and had a sufficient amount of parking. 6) service: I appreciate the self check out that they offer. And the staff was responsive and helpful when I was looking for a couple of items in the store. Overall, this is absolutely worth a stop, and I will likely be back.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The prices at this store reminded me of my good decision to stop donating to thrift stores. I have now started donating ONLY to centers and facilities that TRULY help their communities, and therefore ALL of the items that I donate are free to their customers. The organizations that I now donate to are strictly geared towards helping true low income and less fortunate. The prices at the store are the prices that you would find in regular store AND intentional high priced stores. This store receives donations FOR FREE, AT NO COST TO THEM, AND YET THEIR PRICES ARE MERELY A DISHONEST RACKET. It was very disappointing to see that this store is obviously run by persons who seek to profit excessively and exceedingly from the kindness and generosity of others. I should NEVER see art work at any thrift store for $129.00 that is not the authentic art work of Picasso. I should NEVER see a water jug for $124.00 , even a large one. I should never see a cat sculpture for $69.00. I should never see an 8x10 picture frame for 9.99 (this is the same amount that I would pay at a store for a brand NEW frame). I should never see cookware for $34.00. As I walked through this thrift store, my shock progressed to disgust. This store truly needs to be regulated. Their prices are unheard of when it comes to a thrift store. This particular thrift store truly needs to be investigated and regulated. I can't support dishonesty and mere greed. There are other thrift stores that do have prices that are too high for a store that receives all of their items for free, but I've never been to even ONE, that demonstrates this level of GREED. My other options were cheap-looking dresses at Macy's for under $200 and way overpriced dresses at the other department stores, where prices were 800 and up and not as pretty. In addition, the service I received was great. I was trying on dresses for an hour and a half and they were very patient and helpful. In addition, they have many dresses which are flattering for those of us who have gained a few pounds over the year. And, any alterations can be made at the seamstress across the street.
