I picked out my glasses and picked them up in a little under two weeks. They have so many stylish frames to choose from. I do think it was a bit overkill to request insurance information three times, but other than that, everything was fine. I like that parking is easy to find in this area and you don't have to pay to do so.

I have unreasonably bad vision anyway, I'm used to it. But this was not one of those places. I brought my own frames because I'm picky, and that was totally fine to do, they also have a variety of frames to choose from. The man I spoke to, Michael, was really nice and obviously well versed in his craft. Was willing to explain the nerdy details of the lenses I need and how they would assure I didn't look like Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys (and I don't). Just great service all around tbh. They don't accept insurance but I'm an adult with bigger problems than the 2.8 seconds it took me to file the claim myself so that means nothing to me. Michael even printed an extra receipt for me to do so. Tldr; 11/10 would get glasses from here again and recommend to the highest extent.

My glasses were $599. with all the discounts. I do get everything on my glasses, transitions, nikon glass, anti-glare, bifiocals, everything. For my appt, some staff gave me the peripheral vision exam, and some other routine exams first before Dr Hubert came for the eye exam for lenses. He was very patient, attentive, and answered all of my questions. Very happy with the experience. My previous experience at the other eye clinic was pretty terrible, an assistant was doing eye exam for lenses and a Dr only came in if there were problems, the sample glasses that the assistant tried on me with the prescription he got was still blurry, Dr was very annoyed that she had to step in and check the work instead of just signing off on it. That's what happens when health clinics get sold to PE firms, they focus on the bottom line more than patient care (trying to get assistants to do most of the work to free up Dr time and see more patients). Dr Hubert mentioned that NOVA Doctors have no intentions of selling their practice to PE and I can see the difference in care. Thank you also to the office staff who are very friendly.

Dr. Hubert and the entire staff were kind, patient, and professional throughout my visit. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff. Note that if you're a first time patient, you'll have several forms to fill out via paper. On the bright side, the pen I borrowed was super smooth to write with. Plus one star for that! For some reason, the doctor was behind, but the staff did a good job of informing me of the delays, popping in and out to let me know how much longer they'll be My not so favorite part about optometry visits is the puff in the eye and the dilation part, but that's just me. The tech was very patient with me blinking and having to re-do maybe twice or three times. Once seen by Dr. Hubert, the visit accelerated from there. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to describe my conditions in a way that was understandable for me. Little did he know I come from a family of eye doctors, but I so appreciated that he was able to catch something my family had missed all along. The staff even gave me a week's worth of contact lenses samples as I was going away for a week, and that was so appreciated, especially since my visit took longer than usual. I was able to get my contact lens prescription via email too since it's a bit of a trek for me to find parking or walk there - super convenient. Overall, I highly recommend NVDO. Even if they have a slower / hectic schedule, they really do care about their patients and are super accommodating. Be sure to book way ahead of time because their schedule goes pretty far out - I waited 3 weeks for my appointment.

It was quick and painless and everybody was super nice and helpful to answer all my questions along the way. I originally wanted to see if contacts were a good fit, but Dr. Reynolds-Temple informed me of the difficultly of fitting contacts post PRK. She suggested that I try glasses for a bit, and she would be willing to work with me on the process if I really wanted them. I really appreciated the honest advice and the friendly attitude. It was a great visit and I appreciated not being pressured to get glasses at their in house shop. It would be a nice convenience, but it can get expensive, especially given the online options out there.

I showed them my old pair and told them that I wanted something similar, and within 3 minutes I had 3 frames in front of me. That shows me that they're very aware of their products. I have been going here for a few years since it's close to home, and it's a decent experience - I…read moreLOVE that they don't blow the puff of air in your eyes like typical offices do, and Dr. Frederick is nice, the wait time is usually long though. Typically when I go for my visit I get checked in and end up waiting for 15-20 min, then after they take me back to the first room and machine where they look at your eyes before putting you in the room to wait for the doctor another 20 min which is a bit annoying. When I visited 10/31 for my exam this year, I was on time and told the doctor was running 45 minutes behind so I just waited in my car (although there are places to grab a quick bite nearby) and when I got in I still had to wait another 10-15 min as she was going back and forth between patients. The staff is really nice, and the exam itself is comfortable so the time is really the only reason I took a star off. She's also very patient bc I am a bit sensitive with the bright light at the part of the exam when trying to look into my retina. I don't have glaucoma in my family and she asked me to return for an assessment, but I haven't gone - it just feels a bit odd but I appreciate her being cautious and proactive. I don't purchase my glasses or frames so I can't speak on that part. There is plenty of parking in the lot behind, or a few spots right in front. She has a clean restroom as well.
