Hit or miss on the inventory but a clean store and a good ride to get here when you need a quick getaway.

Where do I start? My fiance and I walked into this JoS. A. Bank location, in my hometown, looking…read moreto order tuxes for our groomsmen, "bridesmen," fathers and ringbearer. The first red flag came when we explained this to the representative and he said, "I THINK I can handle that." Not in a lighthearted, joking way--in a genuinely unsure way. This kid had NO IDEA what he was doing. We carefully explained everything we wanted, chose the specific styles and had him import it into the JoS. A. Bank software. Let me tell you, this was painful. My fiance and I struggled not to grab the keyboard from him as he cluelessly tried to import our information, all the while clearly deleting everything we had already spent at least 20 minutes letting him set up for our account. At one point, I even asked him if he wanted me to take the keyboard. We eventually got everything saved and left feeling pretty damn unsure about how our order would actually turn out. Sure enough, we go to get my fiance fitted in another location, and he discovers while getting fitted that the kid gave our guys the wrong vest. We have the Baltimore location call the Easton location to change the vest to the correct one, since apparently a phone call is the only way to do it, and are assured the change has been made. We later decide we want a different tie for both the fathers and the ringbearer (he would be so much cuter with a bowtie), so I visit the Easton location directly and make sure to ask for the assistant manager rather than the representative. I felt so much more confident about this guy. He seemed competent, clearheaded, well-versed in the program they use. I asked him twice to confirm the changes just to make sure nothing got screwed up. He assured me they were made. Fast forward to the day before the wedding: Nearly all of the wedding party's vests are wrong--TERRIBLY wrong. Instead of solid black, they're HIDEOUSLY white-and-black diagonal stripes, the vest my fiance had previously changed to solid black. Half the ties are the wrong color. The fathers didn't have the ties I had been reassured they would get by the Easton assistant manager. Half the shoes were different. The best man's pants were 6 inches too short. Thankfully, my fiance noticed many of the issues the day before, and we were promised we would have all the correct pieces the next day (i.e., the wedding day). After all these screw-ups, they at least came through--for the most part--on the wedding day. The best man's pants fit. We got the right vests. The bridesmen and groomsmen got the right ties. But the fathers' ties and half the wedding party's shoes were incorrect. At that point we just let it go. Because what can you do? At least we had the right vests. Avoid this place--and I would go so far as to say JoS. A. Bank in general--at all costs. Every vendor we had for the wedding was incredible, except for this one, and they failed in every way possible. Just don't do it.

I'm very much unsure why the people that work here feel they are better then the customers that walk in but they do. I spent close to 500 dollars on two shirts and two pants and even paid to rush tailor them and it was done incorrectly and I truly feel it was on purpose. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

He wants you to look good and feel good. Make an appointment. Be prepared to spend money. Victor is going to make you look amazing after all is said and done. Something to note if you're high fashionista, he exclusively sells Italian. For the more fun part of the story, in less than a week, he was able to tailor a suit for me and find a proper undershirt to wear to a wedding. I'm sure he gets these kinds of pressured requests far too often, and I really appreciate him coming through for me.

I would not recommend Dash's to anyone. My experience has been disorganized, dishonest,…read morediscriminatory, and unprofessional. I was initially sized for a custom tux shirt early June 2024 for my wedding on July 26, 2024. I paid $300 for the shirt. The shirt was not ready until August 8 and the shirt did not fit correctly. I knew there was a chance the shirt wouldn't be ready in time, however, I was told by Dash's that it was possible. I ended up purchasing a shirt from Brooks Brothers for my wedding that fit perfectly without any alterations needed. There was a major issue with the upper button/section of the shirt that you wouldn't expect from a custom shirt. I took the shirt back to Dash's on October 12 and the owner Victor assured me that they would get it fixed. On November 2, I returned to the store after being told the shirt was ready. When I arrived at the store, Victor told me there was a mistake and the shirt wasn't ready. He said they would have to send it back to the manufacturer. I did not hear back from the store until January 8, 2025 - in which I received a text letting me know that the shirt was ready and that they've been trying to get in contact with me. Prior to this, I never received a call or text with an update. Nonetheless, I proceeded to go back to the store to pickup the shirt, only for Victor to tell me it wasn't ready. He told me that there's a piece he was looking for on amazon and other sites that he couldn't find. He went on to ask me to look for that piece as well. Then he alluded to my height as being an issue. Mind you, Victor is an inch taller than me. Not only that, it was a custom shirt. So that's a poor excuse. At this point, I am frustrated because I paid $300 for a custom shirt that wasn't done correctly. Till this day, I have yet to receive the shirt. I've requested a refund and Victor refuses to give me one. His reasoning - "they are a small business." There has been no attempt to make things right by resizing for a shirt, or offering me anything to make up for the mishap. I've attached two pictures showing the issue with the shirt.

I am extremely disappointed in our treatment, the lack of professionalism and the constant…read moredismissive behavior that we were rendered on Saturday May 2, 2026. An experience that was supposed to be memorable, ruined by an employee who was more concerned with upselling a used tux than helping my son find something for his first prom. The lady that was there was kind and welcoming. Unfortunately we were helped by an older man who had locks and glasses. Never did extend his name. (Edit looking at other reviews his name may be Dew or Drew) When we first got there it was super busy. This is understandable considering the size of the store and only two employees on the floor. My family and I patiently waited for 15 minutes to let the man know why we were they, in which he says we are late prom people and we should have gotten a look together weeks in advance and that the rental requires 30 days in advance and they would not be able to receive it. We were told we would have to find something in the store , he points to a rack against the wall. I was under the impression that these were rental tux's. He never took time to explain any of it. After being there for another 45 minutes of waiting to get help because he kept saying he would be with us but then taking people who came in after us, we finally got to the point where he talked to me and told my son to try on the tux we found. It was perfect. Looking at it, it didn't need anything done. Mind you I'm thinking this is a rental because there is not a price on it, the size tags are ripped off and you can visually look and see it's been worn, not to mention the bow tie in the pocket. When my son comes out of the dressing room, he ignores my kid and has small talk with a lady who came in with her kid. When he decides he is finished with the conversation, he looks at my son, and says ohhh you found something. It's $450. I said this is not a new suit and where do you see $450 because there are no tags on this and the size patch was cut out, this tux is worn. I said I thought this was a rental? He then says well the rentals are basic, I can go get you a catalog and walks off again. I am highly upset and I wanted his first experience to be special. It was not. Trying to support a black owned business and got treated like a peasant in the process. The funny thing is, if he knew who I was and what I did for a living, I guarantee he would not have done all of that. Treat people right! You never know who could be a blessing to you. I really do hope the owner reaches out to me. I would love to have a conversation. I have attached pics of the "basic tux" we wanted and the timeframe on the website that we would have indeed gotten the tux on time. Update: I wanted to reach out to them on their business page on Instagram to let the owner know about the interaction. I will include photos. I was blocked from their page after sending the message.

While they do have some amazing employees who clearly care and do great work, the leadership and ownership do not seem to share the same dedication to customer satisfaction. Their selection of tuxedos and suits is extensive, which is a definite plus. However, if you plan to rent a tuxedo, be prepared to pay around $250, plus a $160 deposit, with a requirement to return the rental the very next day. For that $250, you receive only a jacket and slacks--no shirt, shoes, tie, vest, or pocket square which makes the value questionable. At that price point, I strongly recommend investing in your own tuxedo or renting elsewhere. Many other places offer complete tuxedo packages (including all accessories) for under $200, with a more reasonable 2-3 day return window and a stronger commitment to valuing your time and money. #SadButTrue

Hampden doesn't really have any other mens clothing stores (except thrift shops) so its a great addition to the neighborhood. Think of it like the sister...er..brother store to Double Dutch. Sixteen Tons also carries other man-gifts like wallets, cologne, belts, ties, hats, etc. The clothing can be quite pricey, depending on the item, but I did recently notice a sale bin! It's difficult for me to get my boyfriend to step into an actual store, or buy something vintage ("If its used, should it be cheaper?"), so its best that I come here alone and bring back what he doesn't want. I always end up asking a bunch of questions when I'm here- usually about sizing. When the owner is in the shop, he is warm and super friendly and helpful. There is another employee who always seems annoyed that I have the nerve to ask about an item; I really can't take that type of attitude. Customer service, man! I'm hesitant to dock Sixteen Tons a star because of this one guy's attitude. The owner has true vision and really caters to his clientele. He has helpful tips (more ties coming in next week!), good suggestions (how about a cool vintage belt for the guy who has everything?) and asks the right questions to really try to understand who you're buying for. He should pass these skills on to his employees!

Although they seem to be popular, there never really seems to be a line. They also offer great specials, which is what led me here in the first place. The staff is mediocre at best, don't expect much more than a "hi, whats your last name?" when you walk in. My big complaint deals with a recent issue. Sunkissed is usually great about updating their facebook with specials, closing information, new hours, you name it. However, I was extremely disappointed to make the trip down to Calvert County to the Dunkirk salon to learn that the AC was broke(this was almost two weeks ago now?). There was no warning on facebook at all, which I believe it should have been. So I tanned, and was only able to do a few minutes due to the heat in the building and the bed. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience. So I wait some time in between my tans, return a week later...and still no AC! Once again, I made the trip down there and the salon had no AC and was still just as miserable. Now I know that broken AC happens, but if they are going to use Facebook to update their clients on the store statuses, they should have warned people about the AC before people make the drive.
