Visiting Sheep's is a uniquely special experience. There is no website, no social media profile for this place. If you're like me, then you probably stumbled upon it while walking the more residential streets of Fells. It's so refreshing to just find a place, not to be advertised to go there. Hell, the only advertisement for this place that exists is a road sign on the corner. The store has been around for at least forty years. Charles, who was an art professor at UMD, and his wife Darcy are the only employees. They import goods from the UK and Ireland, traveling there yearly to scope out what's good. What isn't from Europe is a selection of pottery, postage, tea towels, etc from the east coast. I love their goods. Everything is quality, everything is so well sought out. Their two-tone cardigans are so cute, and they're honestly priced fair for what they are. This store is so lovely, and the effort put into sourcing the wool goods and curating the storefront is so palpable. I also love chatting with the owners. Please, please pay these guys a visit, if not for their 100% (which is rare these days) wool sweaters then for the atmosphere and the knickknacks and literally everything else.

This review is more about some of the new extras they now have available at the shop. I am a big fan of Baxter Men's products and grooming tools. CSC now has almost all of them in stock at the shop so I no longer need to go online to have them sent to me. I've tried moisturizers, beard cream, pomade, custom combs and the fragrance soap bars! SO if you want to not only look good, but also smell and feel good definitely remember to check out that option!

I visit for Preakness each year and boyfriend insists on stopping by to shop. I love the smell of good leather when you walk in. The shoes are impeccable and hand made. The belts are really superior, excellent quality and one of those accessories that are an investment that lasts forever. Service is white-glove, very gracious and professional. We typically spend at least an hour here looking at briefcases, shoes, belts, clothing and chatting with the salesman. It's just part of a lovely afternoon that we truly enjoy and look forward to. This bespoke shop for gentlemen will not disappoint.

Allen Edmonds has been making quality shoes since 1922, and their new retail shop in Harbor East…read moreshowcases quite a lot of them. AE makes classic and Americana-inspired styles that look sharp and last a long time. For business and smart casual wear, you will find something here that suits you. Shoes here are of the sewn, not glued variety. They are wardrobe investments that can be rebuilt several times over their lifetime. They are not inexpensive - $300-400 a pair is a fair ballpark. However, they run good sales several times a year that take $50-100 off those numbers, and the product is a significant step up from average. In addition, there is a limited selection of menswear - jackets, shirts, belts, accessories, leather goods. Some of these are offered in partnership with other well known labels such as Schott and William Wilson. My experience with the store was excellent. I had ordered a pair of boots online, before I realized there was now a retail location in town. They arrived, and appeared to be a previous return that had been accidentally re-shipped - they had obvious flaws. While looking up the return process online, I found the shop on President St. So, I took my boots there for their advice. Anup, the manager of the store, provided some of the best customer service I've had in recent memory. He cheerfully handled the exchange, the return shipping, and placed the replacement order while I browsed the rest of the store. He even took the time to verify my measurements and suggested a slight size adjustment, which worked out perfectly. It was also obvious that he was very enthusiastic about his business and product. So if you're looking for your first pair of genuinely good shoes, I can highly recommend Allen Edmonds. They provide excellent service, quality goods, and a reasonable price.

You know…read morehow you see a dude leaving the Engineer's Club and wonder "where does one buy a burnt umber driving shoe with a royal crest atop it?" ...or perhaps: "I live in Pigtown and don't own a car, where can I buy clothes from the back of that man-lawyer magazine that I steal from my neighbor's mailbox?" The answer: here. The clothes here are top-shelf. There is a tailor on call. The employees are also really helpful. Also, I once spilled coffee on my tie, had a big meeting and this was the only place in Mt Vernon where I could run out and buy another one (60 bills!). So why three stars and a half? Because the size selection here is lacking (though this may be because it is a small shop). And because the prices are just so high. If I could afford to drop 1,200 on a blazer, maybe I could appreciate it more. Until then (read: never), I will continue looking in the window and thinking I'd rather go to Italy than buy a pair of shoes that'd pay my way there.

I had to dig through so many racks, that weren't even my size to find this dress and this is the response that I get. The service at checkout also horrendous. I walk up to the cashier. She says absolutely nothing I pay and she just folds up the garment and puts it in front of me with the receipt on top. I had to ask for a bag and she rolled her eyes and charged me the five cents for the back put the garment in the bag and just gave it to me no thank you nothing.
