a bit expensive to be honest. the shopkeepers put an extraordinary amount of effort in curating the exquisite goods in their store. They know their wares do not fit everyone but those who come in and look - touch, feel, and understand the quality of their goods... they know. This is a really cute little store a bit off the beaten path. My coworker and I stumbled upon it today on our way back from lunch. Inside there are plenty of beautiful and unique pieces of jewelry, nice caps and clothing, and in general just an assortment of really high-quality goods from around the US, Scotland, England, and Ireland. The owner was able to tell us a lot about where each item came from and recommended different items nicely when asked (not pushy at all!). She was incredibly friendly and sweet. This is a wonderful find,quite original,with the most beautiful sweaters from Ireland, purses and wallets from Italy, long floaty,diaphanous scarves from California, and weavings,I believe from Scotland. Different wools-soft and warm marino and cashmere, linen and silk blouses and pants, and wonderful hand knit socks for men and women.... Cool little shop if you like handmade woolens and other artisan-made gifty stuff. The owner's a friendly guy, and he'll give you the lowdown on everything he sells. Much of the textile merchandise comes from small producers in England, Ireland, and Scotland. Wool sweaters, tweed caps, hats, capes, scarves, and more. Pottery, jewelry, soaps, and other incidentals come from American cottage businesses as well. Quaint little store on the corner of Shakespeare and Bethel Streets in Fell's Point makes for a nice stop while out for a stroll with the missus. They've been there for 30 years, so they've definitely found their niche. read more

What a very special discovery. Today's chance visit to Sheep's Clothing turned out to be our favorite stop in a lovely day in Fells Point. Treat yourself to an experience that includes a beautiful corner shop, gorgeous fairly priced knit woolen and other wear, jewelry and small crafts and, most special, shop owner Charlie who has so much local history to share it will make you wish you had another hour to spend talking with him. This is a very cute shop with beautifully crafted clothing, pottery, and glassware. We did feel as though the lady (who is really nice) wanted to give us way more information than we cared for. Sometimes it is nice to just browse in quiet. read more

I love how the owners seem to have a personal relationship with their suppliers. During a recent downpour, we discussed Jacob sheep, which they have a large picture of, next to a nifty striped blanket, as well as festivals we've been to. I love the honey soaps and the variety of colors of their woolens. Even though it was 90 degrees out, the owner went into the back and looked for a wool sweater I remembered from last winter--and found the one he had left-and it was my size! read more
