My nails were ruined after coming here for a gel manicure--they were buffed way too thin and it has taken MONTHS for them to recover--I have not been able to grow out my nails since. I had made an appointment for Mia, but when I arrived I was instead assigned to another lady who I presume to be the owner. She was way too aggressive. First off, I highly recommend calling in to schedule an appointment. Although they do try their hardest to accommodate walk-ins, there are only so many ladies who are available and the possible wait time can be up to 30 minutes. I think that people, including myself, have a false idea that we can be in and out of a nail salon with a mani+pedi in under an hour without setting up an appointment and, more often than not, we are WRONG. With that being said, I LOVE this salon. They do an amazing job waxing and shaping my eyebrows. They are very skilled with nails and I always leave very happy. Another faulty ass business...FYI I'm blasting them all one by one. I've come here over the past year because I live right by here. When I first went, they were super nice and I got basic mani/pedi so I didn't have anything to trip about. Good overall experience the color i chose was simple and everything was fine. I've even brought people back with me but of course they don't recognize the support. It wasn't until these last two times I went in there ive been irritated with the service and feel they messed my nails up. I work too hard for my money and pay the pricey gel prices for hands n feet for me not to be happy about the end result. Right before the holidays this past year I went in and I wanted metallic silver/chrome nails. At first glance i thought they were fine but the next day I called them and told them I didn't like them. So I went back and instead of them doing my nails over...they added silver sparkle paint on top to hide the imperfections of the metallic. Not what I wanted but anything to not have my nails looking busted on the road. But Even this fix didn't last long and a few days later was chipping n looking a hot mess. So I called n complained and they said ok come back and we'll take care of you. Hmmm...ok. so fast forward to now. I walked over there to see if they had time for a mani/pedi and she said it'd b an hour wait. I didn't want to wait so i made an appointment for the next day. Keep in mind I've been out of town and super busy haven't had a chance to get my nails done. First off when I went in she asked me if I had an appointment...I'm like I was here yesterday do u not remember me making an appointment? She says oh so many people come in...(insert eye roll) I'm not hard to forget ok. And I've come here quite a few times for you to remember me. This bothered me bc I see she remembers all her other customers names and all tht but neway moving on...I reminded her that she said she would take car of me from last time my nails was messed up. She was a bit confused but after going back n forth with her she said she'll take a measly $10 off. When she told me to come back I thought they would do one or the other free or something or at least a deeper discount than that. But nope. Fine. So i pick my color a bright pinkish color...and when she started painting my first toe I was like whoa I wanted the color to b brighter like on the sample nail. That doesn't even look like the same color. She said this is the color u picked...again argumentative instead of being helpful. I suggested maybe you can do a layer of white so it's brighter...she flat out said no. Haha I was like wow ok that color don't look like what I picked that's messed up. And she continued painting my toes. She later explained that once the gel is on the color can't be changed. But she had barely did one toe and could have easily salvaged the others and redid the one toe if she'd obliged my suggestion. Pure laziness. I just let it go. And she started my mani...she asks if I want to do the white paint. I don't even know why I said yes bc I didn't like the fact that my toes wouldn't match...I mentioned this to her and again she wanted to go back n forth and put blame on me for basically that was the color I chose and they can't change gel color. I explained but the color obviously doesn't look the same as on the acrylic nails. It's your job as the expert nail tech to know what to do to get the desired results customers ask for. But long story short I loved how they turned out. So the next day after thinking about all the money spent- I wanted my dam toes to match and I called and explained again it wasn't my fault that she didn't do the white paint on my toes. I said I want the proper color and she had the nerve to tell me $25!! Fckn b***h. If I wasn't leaving the state moving I would totally be petty and take them to court to get my money back. So I leave you with this...go here as a last resort. There are way better places nearby who do great nails and give great customer service when it comes to complaints. Other shops do stuff for the community and serve their client base such as free gifts for bdays or frequent customers...customer appreciation days etc. this place will nickel and dime you and overall isn't worth it. Soon as they get busy they start to rush and do stuff half ass anyway. Also, let me tell you...I originally wanted a different color on each nail and she had the nerve to wanna charge an addtl $5. Smh what the hell im already paying close to $100 just for mani/pedi and you wanna charge me for that??? That's weird. So I chose the pink and don't even like it...well I like my fingers not my toes. And for whatever reason my fingers are starting to look busted already...it's been like a day. Well guess what? won't be back here that's for dam sure. I will drive my picky ass on past this shop to Kent, fed way or tacoma even, just to be treated better and get my money's worth. The nerve of this place. read more

The people that posted rave reviews about this place must have been offered some sort of incentive. This place looks sketchy but inside was nice. My basic pedicure was 20 minutes... 20 minutes that's it. No time was spent on actually scrubbing my feet and making sure they were done well. The massages chairs didn't work, nothing. My regular place is closed on Sunday and I needed my feet done BAD. My friend let the lady know the water was to warm for her feet. When she told her the person doing her feet said "it's just because your feet are cold" and never turned down the water. I've never been so disappointed by a pedicure. Really love this place...I'm hooked. The service, attention to detail, friendliness and quality of care; all outstanding! Jenny, who did my nails was super sweet! I loved the leg & foot massage...felt so good!! I did the Deluxe Spa pedicure, which was $30.00 that included leg/foot mask, hot stone & hot towel massage, foot scrub, etc. I paid an extra $5.00 for a design. The place is CLEAN & I didn't have to wait too long either. Parking is street only (2 hr limit), so that's plenty of time. They offer waxing too, which I may try for my brows next time. Amazing! This nail salon has recently opened and NEEDS TO BE RECOGNIZED and exposed for their great quality nails. The owner is very sweet and even let's me bring my little dog to sit on my lap while she works on me! The pedicure chairs are new, she does really good waxing, and multiple nail designs and services. The prices are very convenient and worth it! With acrylic nails, she does a very very very good job. Other nail salons made my acrylic nails too thick that it looked weird, but at this salon she does them strong and thin to where it looks clean and real. My acrylic nails ( and especially the pedicures) last such a long time. I am ALWAYS more than satisfied with the results. After the salon there are convenient coffee shops, hair salons, and restaurants in walking distance which makes things a lot better! I need to start out with I did not have my nails done. I made an appointment a week in advance. When I made the appointment I asked for a specific service and I was assured they could do it. I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early. After waiting 45 minutes I was told they could not do French nails in a dip. I was pretty angry. I decided just to get a regular manicure. Best pedicure in Renton. I went for the luxury spa pedicure. Oh damn. I feel like a new person. My feet badly needed the attention and Jenny did not disappoint. I'm actually sitting here waiting for my toes to dry and couldn't wait to rave about this place. So here I am. The place is super clean, and relaxing enough. The massage chairs are comfy and the prices are average. What really impresses me about CK Nails is the service. Jenny is always smiling. I was offered water, sat promptly and felt welcome from the second I walked in. This is not my first time in but it has been a while and she remembered me! I went here this morning for a shellac manicure and pedicure. Such a great experience! I made an appointment the day before but it probably wouldn't have been necessary on a weekday morning. Weekends are probably a very different story. The place is very clean, atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. Jenny was wonderful. She is very personable and accommodating, also very good at what she does. I went to about 3-4 nails places and saw 6-7 different nail technicians in the Renton area since moving here and none of them were able to help address my ingrown toenails which always make for a lot of discomfort. Jenny was able to take care of them with ease! Street parking only, which may be challenging on the weekends. A bit pricier than other places but very much worth it. This review is for when I went to visit last month. I needed a place to get a mani/pedi done at while I was waiting for my hair appointment in the area. I called and they had an opening right away. I walked over and was greeted by everyone. It was a littler slower, so I was able to get my mani/pedi done at the same time. The ladies were very sweet and attentive. Finding a good nail artist is hard! I came here on a Thursday afternoon for a pedicure and a French acrylic set. The pedicure was decent enough nothing to brag about. The acrylic set though was disappointing on all levels. My natural nails are thin and brittle, gel has never given me the length I wanted. I do not want nails that are too long but something that keep shape. I explained that I wanted short acrylic nails with just a small line of white for the French. I also explained that I wanted the acrylic to be thin as the length of the nail was not going to be too high I can get away with thinner nail (I should say at this point although I have not worn acrylic in a year or so I have worn them extensively in the past.) My nail artist did not agree with me about the thickness, she made them too long. The nails were pealing off within 24 hours of wearing them. Would not recommend. read more

She gave me a free bottle of water which was nice too. The only parking is on the street, so be prepared to find a place and walk a bit if needed. Go ahead and give this place a chance. I called at 9 am on Saturday morning to ask if the salon could accommodate three children and six adults for manicures. All of us were in Renton for a wedding reception. Much to my surprise...we were told to come in! The three manicurists were wonderful. My three granddaughters received the prettiest manicures..and to their delight, extra nail designs! The ladies were all treated professionally and each getting exactly what they requested. The salon was very clean and the staff very friendly. We enjoyed our "girl time"! Wonderful nail shop found in downtown Renton. This was my first time getting a pedicure since January and I was really nervous because of the pandemic. Jill, the owner, made me feel very comfortable. They are fully compliment with the COVID-19 protocols (temperature check as soon as you enter and everyone wears masks and gloves). Susan did an outstanding job on my pedicure. I will return. The only reason why it's not a 5 star is because they charge for every extra service. For instance, instead of getting polish I asked for a buff to shine, there was an extra charge, which I haven't ever experienced at any other shops. read more

Quinn and Jenny are very friendly! They're customer service skills are wonderful, and I'd come back in a heart beat. The quality of their manicure and pedicure was spot on, and I'd recommend their business to anyone who is looking to have their nails done. The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars was that they didn't offer the discount when bundling the mani/spa pedi, as they do for the regular mani/pedi. But seriously, it wasn't a huge deal... and it didn't impact my overall experience. The salon is clean, and these gals are far more gregarious than any other nail stylist I've encountered.
