How did I never try this restaurant ever before until now?! It was such a spontaneous choice to come in a try, and I'm so glad we did! The sauce is what impressed me the most, it was exceptionally delicious with the perfect amount of tang. Some parts of the meat could have been better, less fatty, but still majority of the rib was tender and great. There was a nice lady who took our order, letting us know they've been in this same location for 35 years now! The ambiance here also gets 2 thumbs up, very comfortable and artistic inside! If you are ever in the area, definitely stop by

Really good ribs. I thought the price was fair and you got good portions. The meat was super tender and came off the bones pretty easily. It was really well seasoned and the bbq sauce really brought it together. The garlic bread was nice and toasted as well. I had the baked beans which were kidney, which I thought was a bit odd as I don't usually see those in baked beans. The Korean lady who owns the place is extremely kind and really sweet. Overall really good

When I last came I noticed their hours said they opened at 11:30am but they came and opened at 12:00pm. The owner was still setting up and told me they weren't opened but she ended up saying she could take my order and proceeded in making it. The pork ribs are so tender and falls off the bone. They boil their meats and then grill them. The sauce is on the sweeter side and I like that the ribs aren't completely drenched in it. The garlic bread tasted like it was pre-made and reheated. It was tough and chewy. The sausage link tasted like kielbalsa. The potato salad isn't too creamy. They had a few tables but were pushed against the wall so I'm unsure if they needed to set them out or if dining in was an option. The restrooms were blocked off for sure.

Pork ribs fall off the bone and the beef ribs are so juicy. I really like the sauce too. Great place for BBQ.

Food tastes decent, but too little for too much money. Entrees are more like appetizers and sides are all extra.

Jeff, the chef (rhymes!), was kind and welcoming. He could tell it was our first time and went out of his way to check in, give advice on what to order, and how to enjoy it. The wagyu and chicken soup were both outstanding -- flavorful, hearty, and healthy. Here's the part that took it over the top for me: they had accidentally forgotten our fried tofu. I happened to be nearby this morning and stopped in, fully expecting them to ask for proof of purchase or be resistant. Instead, they just handed it to me. No questions. That's top-notch customer service. I'm now a promoter and will definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend!

Staff are friendly, spot is pretty small but kid-friendly and self-serve utensil tables. The Wagyu Soup Noodle bowl was super bland. So much so that my partner had to add a ton of chili sauce, and I had to add other seasoning toppings. Would be open to trying the beef noodle soup next time but the Waygu soup bowl wasn't it. Pig ears were pretty good but sliced super thin.. thinner than the onions..

I have put all my friends on this place and they love it every time i mention coming here. The meat jajangmyeon and the stir fried noodles is so flavorful and the tangsuyuk is so crunchy! For the price and the portion is heavenly sent too, so perfect. The only unfortunate thing is the parking lot outside is pretty small and limited, so keep that in mind. A no thrills Korean restaurant specializing in their black bean sauce rice/noodles. We ordered: Fried Dumplings - minced pork and vegetables dumplings deep fried to perfection. Crunchy, meaty and just need a dousing of vinegar. Jajang Rice - rice covered in shrimp egg omelette with the black bean jajang sauce on the side. The omelette was done right, not dry, but the black bean jajang sauce was really what made the dish. Beef Jjamppong - noodle soup with beef slices and mixed vegetables. Comforting bowel of needles with thinly sliced beef and cabbage. Jajangmyeon - their signature noodles with black bean sauce. Very umami and the noodles were done just right. Cheap (for nowadays) and good food, what else can you ask for?

It is straightforward with a good mix of udon, rice dishes, small bites, and drinks, which I really appreciated. The food felt delicate but still had layers of flavor. Nothing was heavy or overdone. The rice was one of my favorite parts. It was crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly inside, which made it so satisfying. The chicken karaage was also really good. Crispy, tender, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you order karaage. The only thing I would probably skip next time is the mixed sake drinks. They are fruity and fun, but they tasted like they were made with sugary syrup. So if you do not want a sugar bomb or you are watching sugar calories, I would stay away from those. The inside has a cozy feel that reminded me a little of something you would find in Japan, but with a bit of an American touch. It felt clean, casual, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive without making anything feel rushed. Also we had our son so they brought share plate without us even asking for him. I loved that they considered that. For the amount of food, the quality, and the overall experience, the prices felt well worth it. We will definitely be going back. It is one of those places that feels easy to recommend because the food is good, the menu makes sense, the service is warm, and the whole experience just works. We arrived around 5:50 PM and it wasn't busy but maybe 30 min in it was crowded and by the time we left there was a wait so plan to get there earlier. This was on a Wednesday as well.

The food was honestly so good, very rich and creamy flavors, but what really made me want to leave a 5 star review was how kind and careful the staff were with my little cousin's allergies (she is allergic to a lot of stuff). They took everything super seriously and made sure there was no cross contamination. They even separated her toppings into different bowls just to be extra safe in case she reacted to something. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. It made our whole family feel really comfortable eating there. Amazing service and amazing food, definitely coming back!

The Nam Vang came with sliced pork, ground pork, and one prawn in a clean, savory broth--light but flavorful. The filet mignon pho was a solid upgrade: tender beef, silky noodles, and a broth that leaned richer but still easy to sip. Noodles had a nice bounce in both bowls. I was craving a vermicelli bowl or bánh mì too, but heads up--they only serve pho and noodle soups here. No rice plates or sandwiches. Still, if you're in the mood for Vietnamese comfort food, this spot delivers fast and clean.

Thank you to my bro and his fam for treating us out to some Mother's Day noods!!!…read more My bro and his family are massive fans of Kali Noodles + Tea Bar. Even with them moving out to the East Bay, they make periodic drives just to enjoy what KN has to offer. I've had one dining experience here previously and was not impressed. This lead to not returning. Fast forward 2.5 years or so, here I was again. Our large party of 9 arrived at opening hours and the owners were so very welcoming. The restaurant was clean and the condiments were in tip top shape. Our family's order was massive. We started the meal with xiu mai [Vietnamese pork meat balls] and Chinese donut sticks. This then continued with mi do bien, filet mignon and beef ball pho, & a variety of nam vang noodle versions. The great thing about Kali Noodles are the multiple options of noodles they provide. There are a number of combinations that could be made with the 6 offerings. The food was surprisingly really good- so much better than what my first visit was. The bowls were presented neatly but plated in a way where the large chunks of lettuce made the bowls seem a lot more fuller that it really was. The noodle soups also consisted a lot more broth than noodles. Having said that, the egg noodles are really really good!! The restaurant cooks them perfectly- chewy with a slight bite that keeps you wanting more and more. Hu tieu dai was unfortunately too mushy in texture for my liking. 4 stars overall. Customer service from the owners were exceptional. They were attentive to each person's order and were so welcoming. The food was good but maximize the deliciousness by strictly going for the thin egg noodles. You will not be disappointed and this recommendation is coming from a person who typically steers clear of this. I'd happily return.
