I use to come here when I worked at Blackstone so I knew I'd be safe. Hannah took 30 minutes taking off the acrylic I got in DC a few weeks ago and I felt so bad but she got the job done!!! However, five of my nails already off or chipped after 2 days.

Place is usually packed on weekends (especially on Fridays), however the wonderful ladies here do an incredible job. 2 week old regular pedicure still looks good!

Not a great experience today. See photo for an example of a really shoddy manicure. Took that photo right after I walked out and the left hand nails look just as bad because she didn't paint the nails anywhere close to my cuticle. Questioning whether I could have done a better job myself. $15 plus $3 tip = $18 I think I'll go elsewhere next time because the same pricing is just a street away on Tremont.

Lifting, peeled. Not even a week later

DONT COME HERE. I've given this place 3 chances and it sucks every single time. I only go when I'm desperate and my nail lady isn't available. I just went for a gel mani and pedi & my nails look horrible. She literally shook her head at me when I asked for a French mani. She kept huffing and puffing at every request and I felt like I was bothering her. Nails didn't even last a week even though it's gel. My toes also had gel and started peeling the day after. I won't be back again. They charged me 100$ for this BS. Also you'll get be getting your nails done at a bar type thing with super uncomfortable chairs while sitting 2 inches next to someone else. Go see any other nail salon but this one.

Was super excited to show off my new ring with the fresh gel mani!

Becca: Came here with a friend using the Groupon for a gel mani. I made an appointment and we were seen right away and were not given an attitude for using a discounted coupon, which I appreciated. The salon is vibrant and clean and the staff is kind and courteous. They had many options to choose from for gel. I originally picked out a blue color and the woman doing my nails could see the bad look on my face after she painted the first nail. Sensing my dissatisfaction, she immediately told me I could change it and helped me pick out a new, more neutral color. I'm usually too polite to speak up so I am happy she was so observant and kind. (Little did I know that I would be getting engaged later that day, she saved me!!) The manicure was great. The gel was even and lasted almost 4 weeks. I had to take it off because my nails were growing too long, not because it chipped! All in all was super satisfied with the experience and would return again.

Amazing little spot! I had been going to get my nails done near my apartment in Brighton for a while now but stopped because they're prices were too high for all the maintenance that came from their services. Enter City Nails & Spa - I came here because it's three blocks from my office on Harrison Avenue and I am so glad I did! I got the perfect set of acrylics for Valentine's Day at a reasonable price. This is going to be my new go to nail salon! The place was busy with new walk ins as well as booked regulars who swear by this salon - and I can see why! It's a super cute set up with friendly people and a huge array of colors. They do much more than manicures and pedicures so definitely give them a try. It felt like I was in an old bar that got converted into a salon and I loved it. Nice wood fixtures that give it a homey vibe. Chinese New Year is coming up so it's decorated with beautiful gold and red all over the place. Can't recommend enough and can't wait to go back!

I am very picky when it comes to my nails and have tried a few others in the city but always return back here. Over the years I have brought my family and friends here as well. My favorite girl knows exactly what I want and pays attention to the tiny details. I have become a regular to the point that she has gotten great at picking out colors for me based on a trip I'm taking or the season we are in. While I wouldn't describe this place as the most luxurious nail salon in Boston it's reliable. Be warned this place could be packed on the weekends especially if it's nice out.

I have been here since I was a child. It has switched owners many times. By far, this is probably the best experience I have had. The decoration is very comfortable. The manicure stations are like bar tables, so the manicurist is standing which gives them a better view of your nails. As for me, I do not have to slouch my back. I didn't get a pedicure today, so can't really judge on that. I usually dislike getting gel nails because I hate how they have to file down your nail plate (which I have pretty thin ones to begin with). But I saw how nice they did this lady's and decided to try it again (4th time:1st in China when it first came out, 2nd in Brooklyn when it first arrived in America, 3rd in Brooklyn again different nail salon and it was way too thick for me). Gave it a shot today and love it! Didn't really filed too harshly on my nail plate and did not come out super thick. It was overall a pleasant experience.

It's really a clean business. And the ladies take their time and do your feet and nails with care.

They are cheap for Boston, very clean and have a great (aka HUGE) selection of shellac, gel, OPI and Essie products!

I think this salon is elite and would highly recommend as they do an amazing job. I got both a russian gel manicure (Yanna - color: natural, paid $110) and pedicure (Anna - $135) and the quality is amazing, my cuticles are so clean but they do a really good job in making sure it's not invasive (I've had some bad experiences where they are super invasive and have gotten painful, red and swollen cuticles). Another thing that I wanted to mention is that when they remove previous gel, they are so experienced in making sure not to buff too much. Sometimes, at other salons, I've experienced alot of pain due to the heat spike when curing because of this but had zero pain today which I absolutely loved. They take great care throughout the service and are extremely detailed oriented. I've never had a better quality service and will definitely be a regular customer here. The salon itself is so cute and girly, everything is pink, well-designed and super clean, I feel like a princess. If you're on the fence, definitely do it, you won't regret it. The glazing is completely unsponsored or solicited, I just wanted to rave about a really great experience.

In the past, i could never justify getting my nails done regularly- only for special occasions- let…read morealone going for the extras like dip or acrylics. This salon changed everything! The confidence and good feeling I get every time I look down and see my hands is so worth it. Besides everyone being so nice, a few specific things really set this salon apart from any other I've been to: 1. SO CONSISTENT - It literally doesn't matter who here does your nails bc they're all so great. Many salons are "amazing... if you ask for XYZ". Here, I have yet to ask for any specific person, I've have had my nails done by probably five different people at random, and I don't have a complaint about any. Every single time I leave so content, and they last so long every time. They also really know their strengths so if for some reason you have a really detailed art that maybe someone else is better at, they'll just switch out at the end. Which to me is a positive and that they care enough to openly tap in whoever can do the best job. 2. SOOO SKILLED WITH NAIL ART! Find a super cute nail design on TikTok? They'll repeat it to a T, no matter how detailed! Other times I just say "I like this vibe, but doesn't have to be exact" and they're fine with that too. 3. HAVE A GOOD EYE/SENSE OF What looks good- I can be indecisive so them being able and willing to tell me which of my color options they like best or a potentially cute design idea if I'm drawing a blank is so helpful and appreciated. They've even recommended a different nail shapes based on my goals re: growing them out, which was really nice. 4. NO WAIT TIMES?!? I have no idea how this happens because you'd think it means they're not busy, but nope- there are always people in there, but it never feels crowded or chaotic at all. they're so well organized and efficient. I think I've made an appointment like twice and the other times they were so welcoming for walk-ins, and had me sit down and got started immediately.

The WORST experience ever. I went to this salon since it was close to my work and I was able to get…read morean appointment between my meetings. The actual experience for a gel pedicure was average - good nail polish technique, not great with the massage and scrubbing for a $55 pedicure plus tip. Anyway, I walked out happy with a fun nail color ready for my vacation week. Next day, while running errands I noticed one of the nails was bare with no polish - the entire gel polish had slid off. Slowly through the afternoon, all nails showed the same wear and the nail polish started falling off. I called the salon and the person on the phone apologized and said that they will take care of me once she spoke to her manager. The manager asked me to come back for a gel nail polish re do which was not feasible since I work in Boston and don't live there. Then they offered me a $13 refund for a $55 service which was so poorly done that the gel nails which I thought will last me 3 weeks, lasted less than 24 hours. I texted them pictures of my toes as requested, asked for a refund of at least 50% of the cost of the service. They held firm at the $13 refund which I declined. I had to go to another salon, spend $50 again for gel nails. I'm never going back here again.

I was able to see all 3 family members in action together at the shop while trying to resolve my issue with these horrific nails. Thank you Kathy for my refund and understanding. On the day of my appointment I was 1 of 2 black females getting our nails done the other black woman's nail station was right next to mine and all the other customers were white. My issue was quality of work and the other black woman's issues were quality of work and pricing ( they kept changing the prices on her) I am not sure if this was a racial discrimination or male chauvinism, but 2 things can be true at the same time. Like I said the owner/mother/wife Kathy was awesome and I wish I had only had my experience with her but unfortunately I was met with the 2 idiots. My advice to Kathy was to REMOVE the son from the reception role and NEVER introduce the husband to customers again. Thank you
