They said yes and you can't remove color without removing structure gel. But unfortunately due to the management I don't plan to return. I've now had two appointments in a row that I've shown up for only to find out that they overbooked, or Anna wasn't actually working that day. Both times I would have really appreciated a phone call to let me know my appointment couldn't be honored, and giving me a chance to reschedule instead of wasting time and money on Ubers to get there. One other note: When I arrived and found out Anna wasn't actually working on the day of my appointment and someone else would be doing my nails, I also found out that no one else there is able to do nail designs. The style I wanted was simple, with only 2 colors and a few lines but the manager told me I would have come back a different day if I wanted any kind of design. Seems strange for a nail salon to only be able to do solid colors with no design. Anna, if you ever go to work at a different salon I would love to be your client again!

My nails were cut short on purpose for my 2 week traveling vacation so there really wasn't much to for my nails. Still, i was repeatedly asked what shape I preferred. (none? It's so short there's no rounding or squaring possible) I was skeptical watching how my cuticles were trimmed without being pushed back first, and the buffing was very uneven. Polish was also rushed IMO because some sides of the nails looked sheer. A quick drying top coat was added and that was it. I expected my manicure to last more than a few days, but by the 3rd day almost every nail was chipped about 1/8". Considering I wasn't doing anything beyond showers and walking around the city (vacay = no washing dishes, cooking, laundry, tinkering, or typing) I feel badly for my partner who went all out to plan a full day of pampering for my birthday. I didn't want to mention it, but he noticed the chips and apologized for not knowing a better place to get a mani pedi. Lesson learned! There are tons of nail salons on Newbury St so we'll need to check them out on our next trip.
