So when I got a trip that came to Abeel St Kingston (nearby) just the other day and saw my gas gauge, I knew it was time! I've been planning to get gas and write a review from a nearby store, when I came in, but chose this place that day anyway. The entrance to this store is a bit thin. To veer into the place, there was a car coming out. I ended up clipping the curb with my front tire. Then with my gas on my passenger side, I pulled up to the spot near the door making the entry easy. There was a car directly in front of me (who later backed up to pull out), and so there I stopped - close to the pump. I thought my decision was right. The pumps had no problems with my GasBuddy card - and I seamlessly took care of the pay-at-the-pump transaction. I inserted the card and typed my Driver ID (like a PIN), pumped and was able to take care of the transaction. However, just as I was about to exit, some weirdo decided to pull up so far into the pumping area that I thought they were about to hit me. My first thought was to move backward, but when I realized there's almost no space backing up, (with another car being possible there), I knew I had to veer someway around them after giving them a loud and long horn-beep. I moved around them easily, until the end. I heard a loud "crunch" (nothing happened to either car) and I noticed he continued to pull through and out. I don't think I'll be coming here again. I know I had come here in the past without problems, but now I've shed a different light on this place. This annoying other a**whole really changed my perspective on how this place is seen in my eyes. Please give us a little more space to move around your location.

Random neighbors doing a winded speech, conversations, standing around in front of the counters. The store itself is well stocked but the drinks are placed way in the back, while hats, smelly-trees (for car) and engine oils are placed on shelves up front. This Mobil is a veritable chaos of action and nobody seems to know if there's even a "line". Customers place wet bags of ice on the counters. People knocking each other over. But everytime I stop in here, I'm always puzzled as to why it's so dirty and attracts so many poor street-people to "garbage-shop"(if that's really what it can be called)? I use pay-at-the-pump every time I come here with my GasBuddy card, and it seems like every time I come here, there are other street-walkers who come and pick through the garbage bins outside near the pumps. I seem to catch a glimpse of the garbage buckets (but never look through their contents), and they are always filled up with garbage along with many five-cent deposit bottles.(One time, I looked and it had over 4-five cent deposit bottles right off the top of it.) But that's not the way it is inside. I know it's small, but the employees are nice. I rarely have to go in and make a purchase, but there have been a few times I stepped inside. I was depressed once at the line, but that's a long story over that experience: and something that wasn't even my fault either but I wish not to explain it here. The store handled it to the best of their abilities, but it was just weird what happened. This location isn't in the best part of town, but it is on a main route (Broadway) (and near a secondary main route (Delaware Ave) that can be seen from this location). I do shop here, but not all that often; if I'm in town, I'd shop more at the Foxhall Ave location than here in the future, but only shop here if I'm in desperate need.

Things were clean, though there were no other cars filling up alongside me. I can't even say it's a problem of mine, but I never did know that Citgo has their own gas-savings/rewards card out there. I saw an application to fill out for this card at the pumps, but I had my own form of gas-saving/rewards card with GasBuddy that I was dealing with. I just wish it wouldn't be geared towards those with insertable cards to start it off, as I bet my other brother has a card already and was hoping you'd have a way to enter a phone number or similar at the pumps to get the same discount. I'm thankful I don't have to go through all that rigmarole with GasBuddy at my side. I can't stand always saying what seems to be the same thing in all my gas reviews. But when you figure in all the possible places with only pay-at-the-pump conditions, you get the picture that I have few other choices to choose from in what to say. But it hasn't been just me that has stopped in. My brother also stops in on occasion - though his experiences are sparse and outdated, and besides they are his spot to get a short car-wash which is also present on site. (This experience I can't back up, as I myself have never used this location's wash, as I find better prices and services elsewhere that make this car wash unnecessary and pricey.)

We decided to have a pool party and drink at home due to the continuing devastating covid rules regarding dining. I took a 6 pk WITH ID to the counter, my godmother behind me with her 6 pk. The young man at the counter who apparently doesn't know how to keep a business running during a pandemic would not sell to me even holding my ID because godmother did not have hers. Wth? In my next trip to NY I expect to see this place shuttered just like most of the other places in this town due to stupidity and lack of common sense. Great job young buck! Your bosses will be proud.

Like the convenience of this location (right by the Thruway) and that there are lots of pumps with decent prices. The coffee and sandwiches here are actually quite good. Getting into and out of the place isn't always the easiest, but it's not too bad. As I said, sandwiches are pretty good here, the place is clean and gas prices are usually decent.

I've been going in there mostly for quick items, but every time I go in there, I'd always carry peanuts and similar (after checking out), although not being able to find hard-boiled eggs here was a depression because I was buying for someone else who was traveling with me at the time. Also, not being able to find bakery goods, like muffins and hard roll sandwiches has been troubling because, with Speedway, it's always been they carry only the brand name goods that aren't baked in-store. I value (at least a peanut buttered roll) from a convenience store, though muffins are my backup, and neither one via store brand is ever found here - and I'm angry about it. However, I like that your store carries the ice cream in the fridge over the window. It's nice being able to buy ice cream cookie sandwiches in the same place as my favorite - Nestle Drumsticks - which not even I can find in most convenience stores near me. Although you don't exist on any of my delivery apps of choice for Dutchess County, I'm not expecting anything to come of this statement. Especially since your competitor is there and serving most of their goods to customers in Dutchess County, not seeing any Speedways is a downfall of the Speedway brand.
