I called my bank and that's when they said there's a hold for $125.00 which was spent at the Lucas Ave Stewart shop the same date and time I was there. They asked me to try to resolve it with Stewart's before I put in an official claim. So I called and "tried" to speak to a manager. She was borderline yelling and talking over me, wouldn't really let me finish a sentence, saying " No one spent $125 here I was here all day." She wouldn't do anything except yell at me apparently. So I put in a claim with my bank and waiting for that to go through. Moral of the story: I no longer trust Stewart's on Lucas Ave because there is no clarity as to what happened to the $125.00. It's too bad because I've been a customer there for 20+ years. Never again!

But I was also budgeting to a point where I was only stricken with an EBT card (food stamp/SNAP card). I craved sandwiches with meat (ham and cheese are my faves), but most of these sandwiches EBT won't pay for (they don't take them for being "prepackaged") and when I found that you had sandwiches, I was almost hooked - but that's when I saw the price. I was carrying only about $6 in cash and when I spotted even the cheapest sandwich at close to $7, I had to turn away. (Their bagels (without peanut butter or similar) were there, but those were a lot less than what I'd get for cheaper at your competitor, so had to forego those completely.) However, this place also has some variations of stuff I couldn't get at your competitor. I found bags of cookies (chewy chocolate chips of the brand name) on your shelves and stuff I couldn't find elsewhere - some more prominently displayed than others. However, there were things that even the competitor had that I had to get today because I'm getting tired of getting the same stuff there continuously and had to be spontaneous. However, the rest of the transaction was okay. I was the only customer in the store for most of my transaction, and the employee who checked me out was rather nice. He allowed me to place my goods on the counter and allowed me to check out the sandwich corner. He waited until I got back to pay before he started ringing me up - and something I valued: patience. This purchase was also my first purchase where I entered my Mobil Rewards number, something I started in 2021 and hadn't used yet. I was surprised that I even remembered I had one, but he never asked if I was a member. Sorry, if my presence bothered you. This place no longer is open 24-7, based on other factors, but this place surely makes itself known at the corner of Routes 9 (US) and 199 (NY). Things were clean, though there were no other cars filling up alongside me. I can't even say it's a problem of mine, but I never did know that Citgo has their own gas-savings/rewards card out there. I saw an application to fill out for this card at the pumps, but I had my own form of gas-saving/rewards card with GasBuddy that I was dealing with. I just wish it wouldn't be geared towards those with insertable cards to start it off, as I bet my other brother has a card already and was hoping you'd have a way to enter a phone number or similar at the pumps to get the same discount. I'm thankful I don't have to go through all that rigmarole with GasBuddy at my side. I can't stand always saying what seems to be the same thing in all my gas reviews. But when you figure in all the possible places with only pay-at-the-pump conditions, you get the picture that I have few other choices to choose from in what to say. But it hasn't been just me that has stopped in. My brother also stops in on occasion - though his experiences are sparse and outdated, and besides they are his spot to get a short car-wash which is also present on site. (This experience I can't back up, as I myself have never used this location's wash, as I find better prices and services elsewhere that make this car wash unnecessary and pricey.)
