I don't generally go into Speedway's that often, but this one was something that I'll never forget when I headed into this shop a few weeks ago. My mother and brother swear it's got the best gas for the best price, but I'm not buying it. For me, the gas tends to burn in my car's gas tank rather improperly. On this day, there was a sale, but then again, this sale was one where you had to have your Speedy Rewards card on you. I still beg to differ. It's great that it's on a major route I travel rather commonly, but it's not really that great - and what's really interesting is - the colors of the station (red and white) aren't really valuable to the quick sight when gas is needed. (The price of a rather large soda with their rewards card yields a soda costing a buck and some change- something that would have cost more than $4 at other gas retailers - and even that, the size isn't sold everywhere - so no contest.)
The shop inside is large, but for a small convenience store - is quite small and compact. You pretty much only have some common items and nothing else. Small donuts and some cheap chocolate "goodies" for just mere cents - that's great, but I'd rather not be tracked with that rewards card which is all what Speedway tends to do with their rewards card program (something Speedway would rather not hear, but knows that it's imminent).
Love that this place has some parking spaces near the door, but it never seems to be enough when I come through with - or without - them. read more
