Over the past few months when being an Uber driver, I've been sometimes stopping into this gas…read morestation (including yesterday's fill-up within the 5pm hour) because it's my closest location to my current location. But everytime I stop in here, I'm always puzzled as to why it's so dirty and attracts so many poor street-people to "garbage-shop"(if that's really what it can be called)? I use pay-at-the-pump every time I come here with my GasBuddy card, and it seems like every time I come here, there are other street-walkers who come and pick through the garbage bins outside near the pumps. I seem to catch a glimpse of the garbage buckets (but never look through their contents), and they are always filled up with garbage along with many five-cent deposit bottles.(One time, I looked and it had over 4-five cent deposit bottles right off the top of it.) But that's not the way it is inside. I know it's small, but the employees are nice. I rarely have to go in and make a purchase, but there have been a few times I stepped inside. I was depressed once at the line, but that's a long story over that experience: and something that wasn't even my fault either but I wish not to explain it here. The store handled it to the best of their abilities, but it was just weird what happened. This location isn't in the best part of town, but it is on a main route (Broadway) (and near a secondary main route (Delaware Ave) that can be seen from this location). I do shop here, but not all that often; if I'm in town, I'd shop more at the Foxhall Ave location than here in the future, but only shop here if I'm in desperate need.

Excellent value for a pint of ice cream for five dollars. You can't beat that value…read more The mint pint was extraordinary. Some of the best mint ice cream with chocolate that I've ever tasted. So creamy. So cold. The diversity of flavor is truly relaxing to eat. Jessica was our cashier and she gave us great thick ice cream samples. Solid bites. I've never been served bigger portions, which is so cool. We tried a handful of flavors and she was so warm and friendly to talk to you. I also got the chocolate milk, peanut butter. It's not my favorite, and I feel like the peanut butter doesn't do anything to add to the chocolate milk. So I would not recommend the peanut butter. Jessica told us that their dairy is sourced from the local dairy farm that is awarded every year. They know their stuff!

Just love Stewart's. Big city goings-on here…read more This location's no exception. A bit smaller - and never humdrum! It's a super busy shop with wild eyed, sweet, knowledgeable girls behind the counters. They sell all the New York perks: coffee, hot dogs, chips, ice cream, burgers, soda. Really, it's a one stop for anything in your kitchen, garage, garden and grill, too. Though Stewart's is usually routine for everyone in this state. This brick shop is colorful, well placed (I highly recommend King's Pizza restaurant across the street!), lit up and the shop keepers take their time to color the placards, ads, prices, signs, holiday festivities and notes. Stewarts has become culture. Review: pitch perfect, busy 5

Good Stewart's - I won't end 'til I've reviewed each one.. Stewart's has the friendliest staff and…read moreice cream shovelers anywhere! The franchise does an excellent on-site job training. They hire high school kids, mothers, elderly folks who are on strict finances. To me that is very commendable. They also sell ices in boxes from the freezers (their own flaves like rocky road, neapolitan etc.) and their drink, snack, soda, coffee, bars, candy, rolls, buns, crullers are the best to be had: if you are visiting the Empire State (NEW YORK), chances are you'll encounter the Stewart's (based in NY) brand. Remember: they do refills (for a charge) on coffee (used to, at least), the ice creams are solid and each place has 3 tables to chill! Like other places Stewart's also serves fresh sandwiches, soups and sundaes. Browse around and meet locals - it's the New York (Stewart's) State way!! Review: 4

Thanks for being there a few nights ago. When a problematic situation arose in an UberEats order…read more(where the customer bought something that the restaurant couldn't provide), the customer turned his anger towards me, and asked me if I could provide it instead. To which, I knew I couldn't go back to the restaurant, and instead noticed your store open and knew instinctively what most Stewarts Shops carried and knew that this product could be found here. Although you were washing floors near the product, when you saw me head towards the wrong register (which would have been closer for the employee to ring it up on) (it was just a 2L Pepsi bottle), you communicated your intentions and performed to your best. I thank you. For being so close and open when I needed you, you shone in my darkest light. I know I don't walk into your particular store very often, but it was necessary. I still don't like your entry and exit points onto both Delaware Avenue and Broadway (there's no lighting onto Broadway) and it seems very confusing at this intersection due to the crisscrossing of yet a third road from a location nearby. I actually don't like this corner: cars coming from the 'Strand come up Broadway too quickly there and it can get interesting navigating. However, you shone your light at the entrance with LCD brightness that really provided me assurance that I'd be safe inside for a few minutes getting the necessary item. I asked for a receipt, and received it as asked. Thanks.

My friend's roast beef sandwich looked delicious and I love that it was on a nice ciabatta type roll. Much better than a regular Kaiser roll. She said it was delicious but the price was kinda steep at $13.99. I didn't care for the caprese sandwich. It was kinda bland even though it had plenty of pesto @ $10.99. The bill came in at over $31 for two sandwiches and two seltzers. Kinda expensive I thought especially since I didn't eat all my sandwich. I would probably not come here again because of the expense. There seems to be freshly baked items there. They looked good but we didn't try it. The general store is really nice though especially if you are camping nearby. They also had an area where you can pick up a nice gift in a hurry! About the service, it was slow when you consider that we were the only ones there. They have nice picnic tables outside where you can eat. I took a star off for my lackluster sandwich and the prices.

The prices are way too high for what is offered. The "general store" is typical overpriced items that you would only buy if absolutely necessary. We ordered two sandwiches and one was thrown away as no one enjoyed it. Maybe my expectations were too high but I will not be going back.
