The prices are a little bit higher than other Valero's here, but they are comparable to other stations in the area (if that helps any). This location gets two stars, but Stewart's as a whole is amazing…read more Usually they have fair gas prices, free air, decent coffee, and your normal assortment of gas station food etc. Where Stewart's really shines is in their ice cream. A childhood favorite, Stewart's ice cream is a staple up here. Colombian Coffee is delicious, and so is Death by Chocolate, Mint Cookie Crumble, Peanut Butter Pandamonium, and Butter Pecan. Their seasonal flavors are always eagerly-anticipated, and lots of fun to choose from. We almost always had a half gallon in the freezer, and Stewart's was a great treat growing up. However, this particular location was driving the struggle bus. They were out of all decaf coffee at 3pm, they were slow to fill our ice cream orders, and one of the two employees spent the entire time putting up decorations, even when there was a line of people waiting. Bottom line: always go for the ice cream. $3.50 milkshakes can't be beat, no matter the time of year.

Things were clean, though there were no other cars filling up alongside me. I can't even say it's a problem of mine, but I never did know that Citgo has their own gas-savings/rewards card out there. I saw an application to fill out for this card at the pumps, but I had my own form of gas-saving/rewards card with GasBuddy that I was dealing with. I just wish it wouldn't be geared towards those with insertable cards to start it off, as I bet my other brother has a card already and was hoping you'd have a way to enter a phone number or similar at the pumps to get the same discount. I'm thankful I don't have to go through all that rigmarole with GasBuddy at my side. I can't stand always saying what seems to be the same thing in all my gas reviews. But when you figure in all the possible places with only pay-at-the-pump conditions, you get the picture that I have few other choices to choose from in what to say. But it hasn't been just me that has stopped in. My brother also stops in on occasion - though his experiences are sparse and outdated, and besides they are his spot to get a short car-wash which is also present on site. (This experience I can't back up, as I myself have never used this location's wash, as I find better prices and services elsewhere that make this car wash unnecessary and pricey.)

Even with saying this place can…read moreuse my EBT card, I've found quite some things I hadn't known for this place to carry in the past hidden within your shelves, that every time I go in there, some things are always missed in the last transaction I intended to purchase but put back. I've been going in there mostly for quick items, but every time I go in there, I'd always carry peanuts and similar (after checking out), although not being able to find hard-boiled eggs here was a depression because I was buying for someone else who was traveling with me at the time. Also, not being able to find bakery goods, like muffins and hard roll sandwiches has been troubling because, with Speedway, it's always been they carry only the brand name goods that aren't baked in-store. I value (at least a peanut buttered roll) from a convenience store, though muffins are my backup, and neither one via store brand is ever found here - and I'm angry about it. However, I like that your store carries the ice cream in the fridge over the window. It's nice being able to buy ice cream cookie sandwiches in the same place as my favorite - Nestle Drumsticks - which not even I can find in most convenience stores near me. Although you don't exist on any of my delivery apps of choice for Dutchess County, I'm not expecting anything to come of this statement. Especially since your competitor is there and serving most of their goods to customers in Dutchess County, not seeing any Speedways is a downfall of the Speedway brand.

Now I reviewed this particular chain before out in Middletown New York and it wasn't a very nice one, and unfortunately this one isn't that great either. My main concern/ complaint is the lack of windshield washer fluid at the pumps. I've even gotten a hold of corporate in the past and they said they were on top of it however I've been to this particular location two nights in a row now and since about a week and a half ago at least if there's no washer fluid.... Well actually no I stand corrected there is actually washer fluid in the reservoirs tonight, however there's only two squeegees to go around four different sets of pumps. I will attach a picture of one of the squeegees to this review as it is the most ugly, decrepid looking piece of equipment I've ever tried to use to wash my window. Not sure exactly what anyone thinks a person is supposed to do with this thing but yeah My other observation... Well actually let me go back to the coffee and cookies and once again say that they are phenomenal. I hate being all negative when there are positive aspects. But as I was just saying, my other observation is the garbage around the pump areas and the cigarette butts in the parking lot as you walk up to the door. Coincidentally I'm at the same gas pump tonight as I was last night and the same garbage /paper cups are in the same places that they were yesterday. Someone took the garbage out because they were overflowing yesterday but nobody picked up the trash around the pump. Nobody has swept cigarette butts and quite a while or at least I'm guessing because judging by the number on the ground either it's been a while or there was a group of about 45 people smoking cigarettes all at the same time. So anyway, I'm actually going to stop at a couple other locations later including the one in Middletown that I reviewed earlier just out of curiosity to see if their washer fluid situation has changed any. The corporate office said that they were on top of it however who knows maybe it takes a couple weeks for word to get down the corporate ladder to the managers of the stores to get stuff done.

Best Stewart's Shop in New York…read more Fully stacked. Easy horseshoe-like cashier counter (with about 3 Points Of Sale). A few tables by the window. This staff is so diligent, polite, easy-going and happy. If they are not helping customers; they cook up the snazziest pizzas and wrap up cool-cat breakfast/lunch sandwiches. This Stewart's staff'll knock your socks off. All the ice cream flavors, smokes, cigars, beers, milk, candy, food, soup, cleaning supplies, sodas, chips and lottery are here. Never sold out. Although I've been coming into this place recently rather sporadically, having come here because I…read morewanted a patriotic shake on July 4th - for the 250th anniversary of the independence of the US - when I came in here today, things were different. Although I came in and felt like today was going to be an okay day and proceeded to the checkout stand for ice cream and found myself arriving first before any other guests came in, I had to stand around waiting for an employee who was filling the hot tray nearby. He proceeded to take my order, but never wrung it up on the register and walked away when I told him what I wanted. I thought he heard me and would be right back. But he wasn't. Other guests came in and wanted bags of ice. The next employee came in and started ringing up these guests' orders and never told me to step aside. "I got here first", I even exclaimed; she wouldn't budge as I rudely stepped aside in a snit. I almost accidentally paid for someone else's order (which I know I wouldn't have been able to do because my account wasn't funded for so much at $20 total), and the employee didn't have the care to tell me that she'd take my order next - "Rude", I thought, and almost left. When it came to actually fulfilling my order after the customer was rung up and taken out to the ice area, when the employee made my shake, she barely filled it to the line where even the supervisor said they'd fill it to when I know at other times these shakes were filled a lot more. (If she didn't take me, I was determined to walk out.) The supervisor got nasty, but I tried to keep my composure just to keep my self-image sort of positive, backing down from impoliteness from the employees and staff of the venue. I know I'll probably still have to go back, but I'm really nervous about this place now. How could they treat me, a more routine customer, this way, having stepped away from routine visits for constant weather issues, like this? Maybe next time they'll treat me better, and fill it to the line (not just under it by about a quarter-cup's worth of ice cream). I feel cheated on.
