My brother William keeps telling me this station is just as smooth for him. However, I used my GasBuddy card for the pay-at-the-pump transaction so I found some drawbacks. (I remember that it was something about the PIN was entered, but I don't vividly remember what happened). The prices are a little bit higher than other Valero's here, but they are comparable to other stations in the area (if that helps any). (Sorry that this can't be more helpful, as I had been on vacation this past weekend and didn't write down much on the back of the receipt about my experience, but I do remember some of it.)

Sorry for the delay since the last review I wrote, but I finally had a chance to write a review…read moreupdate of this store, with an experience from very early this month (receipted experience on 7-2-24). I came into this store on a whim as I walked from Dunkin' to this location (originally hoping to stop at Hannaford nearby instead). Although I still saw the gas pumps out front, my first need was solved in your selection of Ham submarine sandwiches (in the deli case nearest the registers) - something not all Stewarts Shops have - and a bottle of Poland Spring water to drink (23.7 oz sports top) on my walk back later that day (only to spot my ride meeting me near the former location of the Bagel Place/car shop not very far from your shop). I had ideas that day to pick up a bottle of Pure Leaf Tea&Lemonade but decided it wasn't something I needed and put that item back. But during this experience, I noticed a trickle of folks coming in and out. Still, very few stayed in for very long, and by the end of my quick visit for a quick stop for a few items (even without my bags), I felt out of place and was hoping for more questions about my visit. I haven't been coming in many times now, because my car is not working and I'm in a catch-22, and walking is just too far at about 2 miles on foot.

The other day (Thursday) after coming back from an Uber run as an Uber driver, I ended up stopping…read morehere to get some gas using my GasBuddy card, and although my GasBuddy card only works outside, I could find few problems with my transaction. Things were clean, though there were no other cars filling up alongside me. I can't even say it's a problem of mine, but I never did know that Citgo has their own gas-savings/rewards card out there. I saw an application to fill out for this card at the pumps, but I had my own form of gas-saving/rewards card with GasBuddy that I was dealing with. I just wish it wouldn't be geared towards those with insertable cards to start it off, as I bet my other brother has a card already and was hoping you'd have a way to enter a phone number or similar at the pumps to get the same discount. I'm thankful I don't have to go through all that rigmarole with GasBuddy at my side. I can't stand always saying what seems to be the same thing in all my gas reviews. But when you figure in all the possible places with only pay-at-the-pump conditions, you get the picture that I have few other choices to choose from in what to say. But it hasn't been just me that has stopped in. My brother also stops in on occasion - though his experiences are sparse and outdated, and besides they are his spot to get a short car-wash which is also present on site. (This experience I can't back up, as I myself have never used this location's wash, as I find better prices and services elsewhere that make this car wash unnecessary and pricey.)

Thanks for supplying me with quick pick-me-ups for quite some time. Even with saying this place can…read moreuse my EBT card, I've found quite some things I hadn't known for this place to carry in the past hidden within your shelves, that every time I go in there, some things are always missed in the last transaction I intended to purchase but put back. I've been going in there mostly for quick items, but every time I go in there, I'd always carry peanuts and similar (after checking out), although not being able to find hard-boiled eggs here was a depression because I was buying for someone else who was traveling with me at the time. Also, not being able to find bakery goods, like muffins and hard roll sandwiches has been troubling because, with Speedway, it's always been they carry only the brand name goods that aren't baked in-store. I value (at least a peanut buttered roll) from a convenience store, though muffins are my backup, and neither one via store brand is ever found here - and I'm angry about it. However, I like that your store carries the ice cream in the fridge over the window. It's nice being able to buy ice cream cookie sandwiches in the same place as my favorite - Nestle Drumsticks - which not even I can find in most convenience stores near me. Although you don't exist on any of my delivery apps of choice for Dutchess County, I'm not expecting anything to come of this statement. Especially since your competitor is there and serving most of their goods to customers in Dutchess County, not seeing any Speedways is a downfall of the Speedway brand.

So I drive for a living and because of this I buy gas pretty much every night. QuickChek stations…read moreare one of my preference as the price seems to be a little bit less than others and their coffee/ cookie selection is incredible. Now I reviewed this particular chain before out in Middletown New York and it wasn't a very nice one, and unfortunately this one isn't that great either. My main concern/ complaint is the lack of windshield washer fluid at the pumps. I've even gotten a hold of corporate in the past and they said they were on top of it however I've been to this particular location two nights in a row now and since about a week and a half ago at least if there's no washer fluid.... Well actually no I stand corrected there is actually washer fluid in the reservoirs tonight, however there's only two squeegees to go around four different sets of pumps. I will attach a picture of one of the squeegees to this review as it is the most ugly, decrepid looking piece of equipment I've ever tried to use to wash my window. Not sure exactly what anyone thinks a person is supposed to do with this thing but yeah My other observation... Well actually let me go back to the coffee and cookies and once again say that they are phenomenal. I hate being all negative when there are positive aspects. But as I was just saying, my other observation is the garbage around the pump areas and the cigarette butts in the parking lot as you walk up to the door. Coincidentally I'm at the same gas pump tonight as I was last night and the same garbage /paper cups are in the same places that they were yesterday. Someone took the garbage out because they were overflowing yesterday but nobody picked up the trash around the pump. Nobody has swept cigarette butts and quite a while or at least I'm guessing because judging by the number on the ground either it's been a while or there was a group of about 45 people smoking cigarettes all at the same time. So anyway, I'm actually going to stop at a couple other locations later including the one in Middletown that I reviewed earlier just out of curiosity to see if their washer fluid situation has changed any. The corporate office said that they were on top of it however who knows maybe it takes a couple weeks for word to get down the corporate ladder to the managers of the stores to get stuff done.

I went in for my favorite - (banana split) - on my special day, and although I was greeted warmly by the store manager - Patience - they really strived to make things up to me from just what happened on 7/4's review (the one that got away from them). She knew me from other past orders, but never this close - to be on my special day. She asked all the right questions (about the whipped cream and chocolate syrup) and even the cherry on top and although I had to lighten things for sugar content, I knew nothing was yet to go wrong and that I was striving for more. About 5 minutes after I walked and paid and later watched her prepare the stuff, but that I was able to step back with my stuff and eat it while people-watching all the while. I'm sorry that whenever I come in, I'm always on foot. Being that all the cars we own, I've had some trouble with driving. Having other people here who have cars but have some trouble with insurance, really strikes out that forces us to not drive, and it's totally great that I can walk to your place totally on foot and still pick up some great service. Ambience is what I've come to expect. That feeling of classic gas station turned convenience store while showing no signs of it's former gas station appearance, really says something. The walls are almost always clean and I almost always forget that there's a billboard of stuff on their north wall nearest the windows and restroom.
