The prices are a little bit higher than other Valero's here, but they are comparable to other stations in the area (if that helps any). Everyone is friendly and if you need your medication NOW, they will expedite things and take care of you. I feel bad for them, they need more pharmacy staff. 2) I always like the deals and prices of CVS merchandise. There are bargains if you are willing to look for them. 3) Rhinebeck's store does need a good cleaning and a face lift. I don't know if that is staff's responsibility or if they contract out. If they contract out, shame on those people because they are certainly not doing a good job. If it is the staff's job, then hire more people. Everyone there is doing the best they can.

Cute little Mexican grocery/convenience store in Rhinebeck…read more They have a small deli and a few shelves carrying Mexican goods like tostadas, horchata concentrate, spices, hot chocolate, and Jarritos sodas. I was impressed with their large selection of Mexican chiles. A lot of the food seemed to originate from Oaxaca, so I'm guessing that the owners are from there and that the shop tailors to a select few Oaxacan immigrant families in Rhinebeck. It's a great place to get ingredients for cooking Mexican food without having to go all the way to Kingston, Poughkeepsie or even Albany, and the prices are very cheap. It was only around 11.95 for two sodas, two bulbs of garlic, 25 tostadas, and some snacks. It is a little messy but that is characteristic of family-owned businesses like this, so it really isn't that much of a problem. Definitely coming back again.

I came into this store on a whim as I walked from Dunkin' to this location (originally hoping to stop at Hannaford nearby instead). Although I still saw the gas pumps out front, my first need was solved in your selection of Ham submarine sandwiches (in the deli case nearest the registers) - something not all Stewarts Shops have - and a bottle of Poland Spring water to drink (23.7 oz sports top) on my walk back later that day (only to spot my ride meeting me near the former location of the Bagel Place/car shop not very far from your shop). I had ideas that day to pick up a bottle of Pure Leaf Tea&Lemonade but decided it wasn't something I needed and put that item back. But during this experience, I noticed a trickle of folks coming in and out. Still, very few stayed in for very long, and by the end of my quick visit for a quick stop for a few items (even without my bags), I felt out of place and was hoping for more questions about my visit. I haven't been coming in many times now, because my car is not working and I'm in a catch-22, and walking is just too far at about 2 miles on foot.

Now I reviewed this particular chain before out in Middletown New York and it wasn't a very nice one, and unfortunately this one isn't that great either. My main concern/ complaint is the lack of windshield washer fluid at the pumps. I've even gotten a hold of corporate in the past and they said they were on top of it however I've been to this particular location two nights in a row now and since about a week and a half ago at least if there's no washer fluid.... Well actually no I stand corrected there is actually washer fluid in the reservoirs tonight, however there's only two squeegees to go around four different sets of pumps. I will attach a picture of one of the squeegees to this review as it is the most ugly, decrepid looking piece of equipment I've ever tried to use to wash my window. Not sure exactly what anyone thinks a person is supposed to do with this thing but yeah My other observation... Well actually let me go back to the coffee and cookies and once again say that they are phenomenal. I hate being all negative when there are positive aspects. But as I was just saying, my other observation is the garbage around the pump areas and the cigarette butts in the parking lot as you walk up to the door. Coincidentally I'm at the same gas pump tonight as I was last night and the same garbage /paper cups are in the same places that they were yesterday. Someone took the garbage out because they were overflowing yesterday but nobody picked up the trash around the pump. Nobody has swept cigarette butts and quite a while or at least I'm guessing because judging by the number on the ground either it's been a while or there was a group of about 45 people smoking cigarettes all at the same time. So anyway, I'm actually going to stop at a couple other locations later including the one in Middletown that I reviewed earlier just out of curiosity to see if their washer fluid situation has changed any. The corporate office said that they were on top of it however who knows maybe it takes a couple weeks for word to get down the corporate ladder to the managers of the stores to get stuff done.
